Dean Tower

The dean watched Galvin in silence, allowing him the space to process the weight of the news. He could almost read Galvin's thoughts—he had been through this discussion before, not with Galvin but with the crippled old man, another figure who had cared deeply for Vincent's future. Both of them had anticipated this reaction.

"Give him ti," the dean thought to himself. He was sure that Galvin, though saddened by the news, would co to terms with it soon. After all, they both knew that no one could stand in the way of Vincent's fate—least of all the Sub-Taboo Hall, which had always seed cursed when it ca to retaining its brightest stars.

But deep down, there was a glimr of hope. Perhaps Vincent's success in the Mage Union might one day reflect back on their academy. And maybe, just maybe, the Sub-Taboo Hall's fortunes would change. But for now, they could do nothing but accept Vincent's destiny and wish him well on his journey.

After so ti had passed, the dean decided it was best to address Galvin's unspoken concerns. He didn't want Galvin to dwell in disappointnt or let his emotions cloud his judgnt. The situation wasn't as bleak as it seed, and it was ti to offer so clarity.

"I know what you're thinking," the dean began, his voice steady but reassuring. "There's no need to worry. Vincent Carey will always be a student of our Yellow River Academy. He will continue to be a mber of the Sub-Taboo Hall, no matter where he goes."

Galvin blinked in surprise, his expression shifting as he tried to process the dean's words. Before he could voice his questions, the dean continued, his tone calm but filled with conviction.

"The Magic Lord of the Sub-Taboo Hall and I have already discussed this. Vincent, that kid, was grateful as well. He understands the importance of his roots here, and he's promised to provide us with support in the future."

Galvin's surprise deepened, but a flicker of hope began to replace the sadness in his eyes. Could Vincent really remain tied to their academy, even as he ventured beyond its walls?

The dean leaned forward slightly, his gaze locking with Galvin's as he delivered the next piece of information, one that explained why this move was not only beneficial for Vincent but essential.

"And you needn't be concerned about his departure," the dean added. "Vincent's Gravity Magic requires special resources—resources that we simply don't have access to here. In the larger nations, where the mana concentration is purer and far richer, such resources are abundant.

These places also hold ancient ruins and secret locations that will be key to unlocking his full potential. It's necessary for him to leave, not just for the opportunity but for his developnt as a mage."

As the dean's words sank in, a look of realization dawned on Galvin's face. It was as if a weight had been lifted from his shoulders. No longer was he burdened by the fear of losing Vincent or the future of the Sub-Taboo Hall.

Instead, his mind shifted to the bigger picture. It all made sense now—Vincent's departure wasn't abandonnt; it was the path he needed to walk to grow stronger.

Galvin's eyes, once clouded with doubt, now reflected a sense of rationality and calmness. He understood. Vincent's journey was not the end of his connection to the academy or to the Sub-Taboo Hall. It was a necessary step for him to beco the mage he was destined to be.

"I see," Galvin finally said, his voice steady, with a hint of admiration for the young mage. "This is what's best for him."

The dean nodded in agreent, a small, satisfied smile tugging at the corners of his lips. Galvin had always been loyal to the academy and its students, and now, he had co to terms with the fact that Vincent's success would ultimately reflect back on them all. Vincent Carey, despite the distance he would travel, would remain a part of their academy's legacy.

Seeing that Galvin had regained his composure, the dean decided it was ti to shift the conversation to the pressing matter at hand. There was no point in dwelling on the past or what could have been. Vincent Carey's future was at stake, and the situation was growing more precarious by the day.

"The ti has co for that kid to leave," the dean said, his voice laced with urgency. "It's no longer safe for him to stay in this country. His presence here is drawing too much attention, and we can't afford any delays."

Galvin's attention sharpened. He had suspected that Vincent's situation was growing dire, but hearing it confird by the dean only solidified the weight of the mont.

"I've been searching for a safe passage out of the country," the dean continued, his brow furrowing slightly. "But every route I've investigated has been heavily monitored. We're not the only ones aware of the situation at the borders. Every known path is under watch, and we need to find a new one—one that's off the radar, so no one can interfere with his departure."

Galvin's eyes flickered with understanding, and a sense of gravity settled over him. He was well aware of the growing tension at the borders. The country was on the brink of chaos, and every exit point was being scrutinized. The so-called "safe passages" had beco anything but safe, with constant skirmishes breaking out as rival factions sought to assert control.

He knew that if anyone were to discover that Vincent Carey, a Wizard Seed, was attempting to flee, it would be a disaster. Vincent's potential made him a target, not just because of his personal power but because of what he represented. So would want to eliminate him to weaken the Yellow River Academy's influence, while others might use his capture to provoke the academy into rash action.

"It's a dangerous ga," Galvin thought, his mind racing through the possible scenarios. "If soone realizes who Vincent is, they won't hesitate to strike. Either to remove him from the playing field or to provoke the academy into a conflict."
