From MC's Perspective:

I turned towards the group of guys, my gaze falling on their departnt badges. It quickly beca clear that they were not from the Bloodline Beast Departnt.

That thought imdiately made think of Dimitry.

"Don't tell they're from the Beast Taming Departnt," I thought, choosing to ignore them as I continued my way towards the Floating Building.

"Is he the one?"

A slender-looking young man asked, also wearing the badge of the Beast Taming Departnt.

"Yeah, that's Vincent Carey. They say he's weak. Recently, he broke through to level 6," replied a black-haired wizard standing next to him.

They watched as Vincent's figure disappeared from view.

"Why does Clonius's family want him dead so badly?" the slender young man wondered.

Whatever the reason, they couldn't take him down under the watchful eyes of the True Elents Society. Their only option was to wait until he was outside.

The group then left, having co rely to locate their target. Now that they had seen him, they weren't in a hurry to eliminate him.

A few minutes later, I arrived at the Floating Building, but the appearance of that other group lingered in my mind. I decided to contact Dimitry later and started climbing the stairs.

Upon reaching the massive door, I used my Digital ID to gain entry. The grandeur of the structure greeted inside, but I had no ti to admire it; I had important business to attend to.

I made my way to Elder Paul Lin's room. On the way, I noticed other wizards. They exchanged a few glances but mindfully went about their own business.

Soon, I arrived at his door. Just before I could knock, I heard a voice from within.

"Co in!"

I opened the door and walked in.

Elder Paul Lin was seated behind his desk. I locked the door before taking a seat across from him, eager to communicate everything with only slight modifications.

"Elder, I have completed the task," I said, maintaining a neutral expression.

"What are you talking about?" Paul Lin asked, looking bewildered.

"I'm referring to the intel-gathering mission you assigned to yesterday," I clarified.

"This?" Paul Lin was at a loss for words, staring at Vincent's serious face as if seeking evidence that he wasn't bluffing.

The entire Verdant City was abuzz with panic, searching for a murderer, yet here he was, casually discussing the. Findings.

"Tell what you have collected," he demanded, still skeptical.

I produced a second silver box from my storage bracelet and placed it on his desk.

"This is the box I found in old man Sam's stall. Inside is a foreign organ that is important to the Transmutation Wizard," I explained nonchalantly.

Paul Lin's eyes narrowed as he examined the box. The design was identical to the first one and had the sa intricate patterns.

His expression shifted dramatically, starting to absorb the gravity of the situation.

He had learned from official reports that soone had broken into Sam's stall before the murderer arrived, and now he suspected that person was none other than Vincent Carey.

Glancing at the silver box on the table, Paul's eyes glimred with a mix of intrigue and concern.

What began as a small mission to find a clue had yielded a valuable item, a potential treasure for the Transmutation Wizard. Luckily, Vincent managed to acquire it before the murderer got there.

"Now, I'm serious. What else do you know?" Paul asked.

"I saw the killer. He is a Transmutation Wizard, but he's non-human—an old man with foreign implants in both arms."

"He commanded a living organ from his palms that devoured the mana core of the guards," I said solemnly.

Thud!

Paul Lin slamd his hand on the desk, standing up with a grave expression.

"You witnessed the murder and saw the killer?" he asked incredulously.

"Elder, do you want to die? I was petrified by the situation. This mission was intended solely for collecting a small clue, but I stumbled upon such a grueso act," I replied, sincerity filling my voice.

"You should have inford the authorities," Paul Lin insisted.

"First of all, I don't know anyone. I was rely taking a look around when I unexpectedly encountered that incident. Plus, I wouldn't stand a chance against an inhuman wizard," I answered.

Sighing, Paul sank back into his chair, acknowledging that Vincent had done nothing wrong. It was already a miracle that he had escaped alive from such a monster. Enjoy new adventures from empire

Logically, he agreed Vincent couldn't have acted differently in that mont.

"Alright, you have done well—more than what was required for the mission. I will discuss your findings with the Elders before determining your reward," Paul said.

"Okay," I replied before standing up to leave.

"Wait!"

"Vincent, how did you manage to stay alive?" Paul asked in surprise.

I allowed a smile to creep onto my face before answering, "I have my ans. And I was lucky."

With that, I left the office and started walking towards the lecture hall.

anwhile, Paul Lin wiped the cold sweat from his forehead. What Vincent Carey had accomplished was of utmost importance. Even high-level wizards wouldn't have returned unscathed from a mission like this one.

Vincent Carey has not only collected material evidence; he has also witnessed a murder. He knows that if he informs the council elders, everyone will have differing opinions.

They will certainly question why Vincent didn't act. However, the Transmutation Wizard easily defeated the Level-6 Guards. Even if Vincent had fought against him, the outco would have been the sa.

"I should inform Supre Wizard Phylia," Paul Lin thought. "She has already instructed to report everything regarding Vincent's activities."

With that in mind, he stored the silver box in his storage bracelet before leaving the office.

Shortly afterwards,

Paul Lin arrived at the Starlight Magic Palace and sent an ergency ssage to the Supre Wizard, hoping that she was not too busy with her research at the mont.
