From MC's Perspective:

"Now take the mask and don't let her down," Paul Lin said.

Hearing that, I picked up the mask and placed it into my Storage bracelet.

"Thank you, Elder. I didn't expect you to help ," I replied.

Paul Lin chuckled before saying, "It's not just for you. I'm doing it for our departnt. I don't want the Mage Union to take their anger out on us in case sothing bad happens to you."

I nodded in understanding. It was beneficial for both parties. As long as I didn't cause any trouble, the departnt would continue to help .

Just as I decided to leave, a buzz interrupted my thoughts. A blue holographic screen appeared above the device, starting to play a video.

Paul's eyes fell on the person displayed on the screen. "What is he doing here?" he muttered.

"Vincent, go back to your class. I'll inform you if anything else is needed," Paul Lin instructed.

Hearing this, I nodded and stood up to leave the room.

Paul Lin's gaze remained fixed on the screen, where Vance Perry, an elder from the Intelligence Tower, was featured.

Although Paul had no issues with the Intelligence Tower, Vance's family na reminded him of the troubles caused by the Perry family.

He hoped Vance Perry was here for official business. After dismissing the blue screen, he left to et him.

When he stepped outside of the floating building, he saw Vance Perry standing at the entrance. Upon seeing him, Vance displayed a wide grin.

"What is it?" Paul Lin asked, maintaining an indifferent expression.

Vance Perry smiled and said, "Our Intelligence Head ordered to bring Fresher Vincent Carey to her."

Paul felt sothing was off. Even the Council Elders hadn't inquired about Vincent Carey. Why, then, did Elder Stella want to see him?

His gaze fell on Vance Perry, and he speculated that this had sothing to do with him.

Paul Lin replied, "Vincent Carey is busy. If you need anything, you can ask ."

Vance's smile faded. He looked at Paul Lin with a cold gaze. "Elder Paul, I'm afraid you didn't hear . It was an order. Head Stella wants to see Vincent Carey. We suspect that the murder in the Main Market is connected to him," Vance said in a serious tone.

Hearing this, Paul let out a small grin before replying, "If it's related to the murder incident, you can relax. I have sothing to share with the council elders."

"If she wants to hear, she can co to the eting later. Now you can go back," Paul added.

"You," Vance gritted his teeth. He hadn't expected Paul Lin to block his path. He knew that Paul held significant authority in the Special Mage Departnt and had to show so respect. With no other choice, he turned around and left.

Once Vance was gone, Paul Lin furrowed his eyebrows. He believed Vincent had escaped a great disaster. If not, Vincent would have found himself in a trap.

Thinking about the brown-haired woman who led the Intelligence Departnt sent a chill down his spine. With her magic, she could easily see through Vincent.

As Elder Phylia had said, everyone has secrets. Paul didn't think it was the right ti for Vincent to face Elder Stella.

Swoosh!

He vanished from the spot, intending first to submit the mission report online and then to et so of the council elders in person.

anwhile, Vance returned to the Intelligence Tower a few minutes later, his expression grim. In the main office, everyone was waiting for him, including the departnt head.

Reflecting on his earlier failure, he felt embarrassed for not bringing Vincent Carey to the Intelligence Tower.

From Paul Lin's tone, he could tell that they knew sothing about the Market incident, which complicated the situation further in targeting Vincent Carey.

When he entered the main office, everyone was still present.

Stella furrowed her eyebrows as she looked at Vance, noticing he had returned alone.

"What happened? Didn't they allow you?" she asked.

"Yes, Head. Elder Paul stopped . When I told him the reason, he ntioned that he already had so answers and was going to et the council elders."

"He said that if you want to know, you should attend the eting later," Vance explained without holding anything back.

"Looks like they do have sothing," Stella muttered.

"Alright, leave this matter to . You all focus on finding new information." After saying that, Stella left the tower.

Other elders shot sidelong glances at Elder Vance. Many knew his intentions, and seeing him return empty-handed made so of them smirk inwardly.

Vance noticed their sideways glances and felt his face contort in frustration.

"Damn you, Vincent Carey," he cursed silently to himself.

Ti passed in the blink of an eye.

At dawn, when classes were over, everyone began to leave. I stood up from my seat and walked toward Dimitry.

"What happened to you?" I asked as I approached him.

Dimitry startled, then looked at with a mix of complicated emotions.

"The Clonius Family wants to act fast. They've already started making threats," he replied.

Sighing, I exhaled deeply.

Dimitry found himself in a trap.

"Do they have sothing on you?" I asked, thinking Dimitry was being blackmailed.

But Dimitry shook his head. "The Clonius Family doesn't have anything on . They can kill whenever they want; it's just that they won't do it on campus," Dimitry replied.

I nodded and said, "If you need help, you can ask ."

Dimitry's eyes lit up. "In that case, you should help teach the Beast Taming Departnt people. So of them are from the Clonius Family."

"They're the ones who have been troubling recently," Dimitry added.

"It's them," I thought, recalling a new group that had appeared that day.

"Don't worry, I'll stop them," I assured him before leaving the hall.

Soon, I reached the entrance and started walking downstairs. The Beast Taming Departnt was targeting , so why were they using Dimitry? They weren't as daring as the Bloodline Beast Departnt.

Speaking of the Bloodline Beast Departnt, they had beco quiet as well. But I knew it was suspicious. It felt like the calm before the storm.

A few minutes later, I arrived at my dorm building. mbers were coming and going, and seeing that no one was stalking , I went towards my room.

anwhile, sothing important was taking place in the eting hall where the Council Elders were being briefed on updates from Verdant City.

It was one of the key buildings within the True Elents Society, accessible only to the Elders. mbers from other departnts were not allowed entry.

At this ti, the Head of the Intelligence Departnt, Stella, was present as well. She was also part of the council, which was why Paul Lin had asked her to present.

Stella's gaze swept over everyone, making them feel uneasy.

"Elder Stella, do you have sothing on your mind?" one of the elders asked.

Stella replied, "I think we should check the secret channel information and share it with the Head of our organization."

Silence swept through the room. The True Elents Society had several secret channels for sharing information.

It wasn't solely reliant on the Intelligence Tower, and the Council Elders had access to everything at their fingertips.

So of the most classified intel was sent directly to the Head of the Organization, often without the Elders' knowledge.

"If we want to access the secret channels, then everyone has to be present here," another Elder replied.

Stella nodded and said, "I hope everyone arrives."

The secret channels required the authorization of all the Council Elders. If even one was absent, they would have to wait for the next eting to access the channels.

About 20 minutes later, everyone made it to the eting.

Stella sighed inwardly. She didn't want to ntion Paul Lin's na in front of everyone due to the factions among the Elders. So supported Paul Lin while others did not, so she wanted to maintain her neutrality.

"Since everyone is here, we should access the secret channels to look for new information," the Elder said.

Hearing that, the others agreed. No one had achieved any breakthroughs recently, so looking into the secret channels wouldn't be a problem.

On the desk, devices were placed in front of each Elder. A blue holographic screen appeared above each device, demanding a palm print for verification. Everyone successfully verified their identity, including Stella.

In front of her, a blue holographic screen began searching for new intel, and everyone saw the new information appear on the screen. It was a mission completion report verified by Paul Lin.

As everyone realized that the Special Mage Departnt had completed their task, Stella's eyes flashed with interest. She started to go through the mission report.

The Council Elders began reviewing the reports and displayed a range of reactions upon discovering that the mission had been completed by Fresher Vincent Carey.

Among the Elders, so expressed their support for Paul Lin and those with similar views, while a few remained neutral. The rest showed their allegiance to the Aristocratic Families.
