The rumor ca out as a surprise. Because they couldn't trace back the source. It's hard to find who started the rumor first
When they reported it back to their higher-ups. The person in charge of them was surprised. Because he was one of the elders in the Intelligence Tower.
After knowing the rumor, he couldn't help but think of a fresher nad Vincent Carey. He imdiately thought people were targeting him. He doesn't know whether it's the work of a killer or not.
So the elder imdiately inford Head Stella. She is the Head of the Intelligence Tower.
Stella was in her office inside the Intelligence Tower. She is going through so other reports. But this ssage from one of the elders caught her attention.
When she finished reading the ssage. Her eyes flash with a cold glint.
"Soone is targeting the kid by leaking the information," She figured it out quickly. The rumor didn't ntion the na of the wizard.
But it was enough for the Killer to co out.
"I wanted to use the kid to lure out the killer. But so people want the kid to die at the hands of the killer," She said to herself.
She can already guess who was behind this malicious rumor. Thinking about the Supre Wizard Phylia behind Vincent Carey.
Her eyebrows ease down. There is a reason why she decides to help Vincent Carey in the eting. First, she knows the intentions of the Aristocratic Families.
Even without evidence, she can tell that people from the Aristocratic Families were trying to get rid of the kid.
So she genuinely went to that incident site. She found no mana trace. So she was sure that Vincent was innocent.
Yet right after the eting, such malicious rumors were spreading in the Verdant City. She then thought of sothing.

On the other hand, the City Administration had arranged for more people to monitor because of the malicious rumor.
