From MC's Perspective:
Brendan City:
The old shopkeeper destroyed his own shop. The aftermath swept away the nearby buildings. Seeing that, the old man broke out in a cold sweat. He realized he had made a grave mistake.
Swoosh!
He fled from the spot. It didn't take long for the authorities to appear. Then they learned about the incident from the nearby shop owners.
"The clothing store bastard got senile," the adjacent building shop owner berated. Read the latest on My Virtual Library Empire
"Catch him before he escapes!"
"We need compensation!"
The other shopkeepers raised their voices as well. Hearing that, the authorities dispatched guards to find the culprit.
anwhile,
The middle-aged man who had targeted a wanderer earlier had left the city but stayed nearby. He was planning to join other wanderer groups.
Just as he was waiting, he saw the old shopkeeper frantically leave the city, as if he were running away from soone.
"What happened?" he asked himself.
Shortly afterward,
He noticed the City Guards had left their posts in search of soone.
"Find him!"
"He must be nearby!"
Voices sounded among the guards.
The middle-aged man realized that sothing had happened. Not long ago, he had visited that old shopkeeper's store. He didn't want to get dragged into any ss.
He knew the power of the Brendan Clan behind Brendan City.
Swoosh!
So he imdiately fled from the place, all alone. Vincent Carey didn't know he had escaped another disaster.
Core Circle:
The authorities from the Main Brendan Clan took ti to review the reports. In the end, they were not satisfied. They imdiately ordered an increase in the price of the Outer Circle tokens starting tomorrow.
They also introduced a new sche. Now, tourists can visit their inner circle luxury shops, but the price of the inner circle tokens is higher, so not everyone can afford them.
Their main target was wealthy people from the major forces. They knew that so people stopped by here to rest in their city. If they could attract them, then the wealth of Brendan City would increase.
So they ordered the start of the new sche from tomorrow. It didn't take long for the local authorities to publish and spread the news across their city.
The news reached the ears of wealthy people who were ready to leave. They had co here via airship and could still afford to spend a few more days here.
So of them decided to take a look, while others regretted it because they were tight on schedule. They had to leave, but they felt at ease knowing that this sche was permanent. They could visit the inner circle area next ti.
Inside the Gregor Mansion:
Ti passed.
I don't know how many hours passed before my pain woke up. The next mont, a flood of mories ca to my mind. I opened my eyes and observed my injuries.
The wanderer's clothes had beco ashes. Now my upper body was red in color; it was a burn injury. On one side, I focused on examining the injury, while on the other side, the terrible pain was reminding of its presence.
"So this is a level-9 Magic Spell?" I said to myself.
A hint of fear flashed in my eyes. A look of realization dawned on . A level-9 Wizard could easily kill —forget about a Supre Wizard and above.
Now, I felt happy that I had left the True Elents Society. If I had confronted them, the result would have been the sa. I had heard that the enemy was half-step Supre.
My back went cold thinking about Rhys Perry. If I had encountered their Magic Spell, my mana core would have taken a terrible hit. If sothing happened to the mana core, it would be the sa as being crippled.
Then I collected my thoughts. I began to see whether there were any healing potions left. I doubted they could heal the injuries left by the level-9 Wizard.
After going through my system inventory, I frowned. There was not much left in the inventory. It had been so ti since I looted others.
A quick gleam flashed in my eyes. I had no choice but to buy healing potions from shops outside. According to the old man, the inner circle shops are better than the outer circle shops. You can find high-grade healing potions there.
After gaining so clarity, I tried to stand up. After getting up, I walked to the control room. When I got there, I saw the changes in the control mirror.
The clothing shop outside was nowhere to be seen. Instead, the place was covered with debris and rubble. I could see soone clearing out the area.
"It appears that I can't go outside for now," I thought. With this pain, I could only endure for the ti being.
I hoped these people would leave the place soon. Then I sat in the chair and continued to watch the control mirror.
Outside,
The workers were clearing out the damaged building. The authorities had controlled the news from leaking.
Otherwise, it would affect their business and tourism. The nearby shop owners had kept their mouths shut. Their livelihoods depended upon the business here.
So they told the tourists and custors that it was an accident. The tourists didn't find anything wrong. They put their trust in the Brendan Clan.
Ti passed.
At midnight, the workers completed their work. Now, that place was covered with sheets. It was labeled as a construction site so that no one could trespass.
When everyone was gone, the nearby shopkeepers closed their shops as well. Apart from a few shops, others had closed during midnight.
Swoosh!
I appeared outside. I had been watching their work. After seeing the workers had gone, I sighed in relief. Now, I was dressed in normal wizard clothes without a mask.
I should find a place to stay. I imdiately left the area.
A few minutes later,
I found an inn that was open. I went inside and spoke to the manager. Fortunately, a room was available. I paid the bill before getting the key. Then I went to the room.
