About a few minutes later,
I ca to the lobby and inford Manager Lara about my visit to the Rosewood Cafe. As usual, she warned . She was also aware of Wilfred Cox's tricks.
After assuring her that I would be careful, I walked out of the Silver Tower. Then I ca to the street and waited for the flying cab.
Soon, I found that cab and asked the driver about the destination. The driver was surprised by the question because the Rosewood Cafe was one of the important spots in the Magic City.
Then I entered the car.
Swoosh!
Shortly afterward, the flying cab started flying towards the destination. It didn't take long for the cab to reach the location because the cab is located in the posh area of the Magic City.
It is not far from the Silver Tower. The cab then landed in front of the cafe. I stepped out and paid the fare.
Then I turned around to look at this modern building. I didn't expect the Rosewood Cafe to be a multi-storey glass building.
A hint of surprise flashed in my eyes. Then I cald my heart before walking into the place. I was imdiately greeted by the manager and staff who were waiting inside to invite the guests.
They told that Wilfred Cox was greeting everyone on the top floor.
I looked around and found that the place was empty. Then one of the staff told that the place was closed to others.
The manager asked my na to check the invitation list.
Hearing that, I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. The whole celebrity party was because of .
"My na is Vincent Carey," I replied.
Gasp!
The female staff standing nearby exclaid in surprise.
"Are you the new wizard seed?" the middle-aged manager asked, his eyes full of curiosity and hidden hostility.
[Ding! A malicious intent was detected.]
[Host should be careful!]
A chanical voice sounded in my mind. Hearing that, I felt my suspicion was right. It's quite possible for Wilfred Cox to arrange so tricks.
Then my gaze swept across the manager and the staff.
Their magic levels ranged between Level-6 to Level-7. The manager was actually a Level-8 Weapon Type Wizard.
My mouth curved into an arc. I turned towards the manager.
Then I replied, "Yes, it's . I'm a newcor. The new wizard seed of the Silver Tower."
Gasp!
The staff exclaid again. The manager's eyes turned icy. Wilfred Cox had already given him the task to test the strength of the newcor.
Since no one was here, he could act boldly. Later, Wilfred Cox would try to solve the problem.
Boom!
A monstrous mana pressure erupted from the manager. The coercion imdiately acted on the newcor in front of him.
The manager was grinning. He wanted to see the newcor bend down on his knees.
Argh!
The Level-6 and Level-7 staff were imdiately affected by the coercion. They were sent flying backward before smashing into the ground.
They didn't know why the manager decided to attack. Their eyes were filled with horror.
On the other hand, I wasn't affected by the pressure. But I was angry. I didn't expect the manager to attack right away.
He was making a great offense. If he had used a magic spell, then I would have crushed him. Then I simply ignored the pressure and started walking towards the lift.
The manager's face turned ugly. He didn't expect the new wizard seed to be this powerful. He was a Level-8 Wizard too. But the newcor was not affected by the mana coercion.
He was about to use his magic spell. Then his eyes flashed with fear. A realization dawned on him. He had already committed an offense by attacking the new wizard seed.
If the Silver Tower found out, then no one could save him.
Fortunately, Young Master Wilfred Cox had arranged a backup plan for him to leave the city. The manager glanced around before escaping from the place.
When he was gone, the staff stood up one after another. They couldn't comprehend what was going on.
Then one of the female staff said, "It must be the order given by the Young Master. Otherwise, the manager wouldn't have acted."
Hearing that, the other staff agreed and looked at each other.
A look of understanding dawned on them. Then they turned towards the new wizard who was entering the lift. They could predict that sothing was going to happen today.
On the other hand, I pressed the button to the top floor.
Buzz!
The elevator started to move. I didn't know who else was waiting for . I didn't expect the manager to act rashly. If I was right, there could be a lot more troubles waiting for .
Soon, I reached the top floor. The lift door opened, and I stepped outside.
In the next second, I saw an amazing scene in front of . I saw male and female wizards having drinks and laughing. I couldn't even recognize their faces.
Then my gaze fell on the person wearing a black hat. My eyes narrowed. He was none other than Wilfred Cox. While I was looking at him, he also turned around upon sensing my gaze.
Wilfred Cox's eyes flashed with surprise. He didn't expect Vincent Carey to arrive here without getting hard.
"Cough!"
"Cough!"
"Ladies and gentlen, let's welco the new wizard seed of the Silver Tower."
"Vincent Carey!"
"The Sub-Taboo, Level-8 Gravity Wizard!"
Wilfred Cox's voice reached everyone's ears.
Hearing that, I paused my footsteps. The next second, I found many gazes on . Many of them were filled with jealousy and hatred.
I didn't even know who among them were other wizard seeds. Suddenly, I felt a cold gaze on . Such a sinister gaze caught off guard.
When I followed the gaze, I saw a person standing in the corner smiling at . He was none other than Jason Nicholson.
"He is here as well," I said in my heart.
I'm sure he is looking forward to targeting as well.
