Restaurant,
While having the food, I continued to hear people’s conversations about . At this mont, I saw three people co to the empty table near .
I was stunned inwardly. Because I recognised one of the people who is none other than Bran Tristan. Apart from him, there is a middle-aged man and a youngster.
I think that middle-aged man was his teacher. The young man could be his brother. Like , they ordered the food and started to discuss.
I can overhear their conversation. Their identity slowly becos clear. As I guessed, one of them was his teacher, and the other person was Bran’s Senior brother.
Then I continued overhearing their conversation. I was surprised. Because they are discussing right now.
My mouth curves into an arc.
They left after having the food. Then I paid the bill before leaving the restaurant. Then I went to find a good hotel to stay in.
It didn’t take long for to find one and stay inside.
The next day,
I woke up. After getting ready, I left the hotel and started heading towards the Palace where the Fate Wizard resides.
As I’m walking, I notice a large crowd going in the sa direction as well. Seeing that I was stunned. I thought it wouldn’t be easy to et the Fate Wizard.
Yet this much number of people were going. Don’t tell the Fate Wizard is going to need everyone.
As I got closer. I started to hear people’s conversations around . Everyone is going to register their na first. The Fate Wizard sotis randomly selects the na to help.
Hearing that I started to wonder more. The Fate Wizard seems to be more powerful than the Forbidden Wizards. They have such influence.
Soon, I ca to a stone palace. A large number of people were standing in front of the palace gate. But there are two entries and exits.
The important people who got an appointnt earlier were going through one of the gates. The other gate entry for the common public whose na was selected.
I had thought the nalist would be large. But only two random people were selected to enter. The rest of the people started leaving.
Then I found out the reason behind this. Only two nas were selected randomly each day. Even though there is an appointnt, not many people are entering.
A hint of worry flashes in my eyes. Elder Dana gave a task. I have succeeded in coming here. But the last hurdle seems to be real.
When everyone was gone. I walked up to the guard. There was a team of five standing in front of the main gate.
There are other guards nearby who are patrolling. My appearance has attracted their attention. But none of them said anything. They continued to observe .
I’m wearing a suit and an overcoat which intimidates them.
"Do you need any help?" One of them asked. He is an old man who appears to be in his sixties. But he has a bulky body.
"How to get an appointnt? "I replied.
The Guards were stunned. The old man thought of sothing. Apart from the locals, the Fate Wizard gets visitors from the faraway land.
He thinks this person must be in the second category.
"There is a way to get an appointnt. You have to complete a task given by the Fate Wizard. The task could be anything. "
"Are you ready to do that?" The old man asked.
"I’m ready to take the task," I replied.
"Co with , "The old man said.
Hearing that I started following him. We then entered the palace through the second gate. I started observing the breathtaking size of the palace.
Everything was built with stones. He then brought to a huge office. People are working inside. They must be palace staff.
The old man looked at them and said, "The visitor here wants to take the task."
Hearing that, five palace staff stopped working. A hint of fear flashes in their eyes. On the other hand, their reactions didn’t go unnoticed under my eyes.
"What’s going on?" I asked myself.
My instincts tell that their reaction was to do with the task.
Five of them were middle-aged and elderly people.
An old woman said, "Are you sure about it?"
"The tasks were set by the Fate Wizard Campbell. Anyone who completes it can get an appointnt with him," She added.
"I know. I have co this far to get an appointnt," I replied.
The old woman looked at others before taking out a crystal ball. Seeing that crystal ball, I was stunned. It’s old school magic. Who is using it in the modern age?
"Put your mana into it. The task will appear on it," She said.
Hearing that I stepped forward and put my own gravity mana into it. The dull crystal ball then shines with bright light.
Golden letters start appearing in it. It was the take. Seeing that the old woman begins to read it.
[Task: Kill the wanted criminal Theo Bernard and collect his decapitated head and mana core as evidence.]
Gasp!
The old woman sucked in cold air after reading it. The other four mbers reacted as well. They stepped forward to read the task.
Then their faces were written with horror.
"What’s going on?" I asked.
Because the tests were in the local language here.
Seeing their reaction the guard old man stepped forward as well. His gaze fell on the task content.
"This?" The old man uttered in shock.
He broke out into cold sweat the next mont.
At the sa ti, everyone’s reaction is giving chills.
"Can you tell what the task is?" I asked again.
The old woman collected her thoughts. She couldn’t see through the strength of the young man in front of her.
So she respectively said, "Young man, your task is to kill the wanted criminal. His na is Theo Bernard."
"You have to collect his decapitated head and mana core as evidence," She added.
