From MC's Perspective
Hilltop Base:
Ti went by.
None of the wizards in the camp were able to find the mysterious figure. They returned empty handed. They couldn't afford to waste ti.
They had reached a crucial stage in the digging. Once they were done, they would reach the next stage of the stone chamber exploration.
So, they were going to be busy. From ti to ti, the wizards could be seen entering the white tent. As if they were doing busy work, everyone was on edge.
Inside the Gregor Mansion, I stood in front of the control mirror, watching what the wizards were up to.
Occasionally, I could hear their conversation. From what they said, it was clear that I couldn't even enter during the night. They were going to work all night long.
I couldn't wait until then. I had a feeling that sothing would happen tonight.
A sharp glint flashed in my eyes. I was going to see when they would stop moving.
Ti went by.
At so point, the noise inside stopped. No one was outside. I used the system to confirm that no one was there at that mont.
Swoosh!
The next second, I appeared outside. Without thinking further, I entered the white tent. I imdiately saw that the place was empty.
No one was there. Then, my gaze fell on the center of the room. It was the stone door leading to the underground stone chambers.
My eyes glead with a twinkle. No wonder there was no sound coming from this place; everyone must have gone inside.
"Did they find sothing?" I asked myself.
I started to think it was possible. I entered the stone passage where stairs led downward. I was sure there were many stone rooms inside.
"Hey, what is this black door?"
"It's taking so many of us to attack it, yet there isn't a scratch on the black door."
"Damn, what's behind it?"
"It must be tribal treasures."
"We should ask the Supre Wizard for assistance."
As I started walking downstairs, I heard the voices of the wizards. When I heard their words, my heart started racing.
I was right. They did find sothing. Now, they were finding ways to break in. I used the system function to check the wizards' strength.
The system results ca the next second: there were no Supre Wizards. Only Tier-8 and Tier-9 Wizards were working.
I closed the panel as the stairs were about to end.
[Ding! Warning!]
[Two Level-9 Wizards are coming back to patrol.]
The system voice sounded in my mind. The next second, I stopped at the end of the stairs.
When the two wizards showed up, before they could raise their heads, I grabbed them and appeared inside the Gregor Mansion.
Puchak!
The three of us appeared in the middle of the hall. The next second, I crushed their heads. They burst into pieces like a waterlon.
Blood splattered the floor. Their headless corpses fell down.
Seeing that, my mouth twitched. If I had done that outside, it would have alerted the others. My gaze fell on the blood dyed floor.
I imdiately thought of the Zero Puppet. I walked up to the puppet and inserted the core with the mana stones.
Buzz!
The next second, the Zero Puppet ca alive.
"Master," it greeted .
"Zero, dispose of these two corpses and clean the floor," I said.
"Okay, Master," Zero Puppet replied.
Swoosh!
I appeared outside and finally saw the flat path with stone rooms on both sides. The ceiling height was ten feet.
The sounds of the wizards were coming from the other end.
I started walking toward the end. Thanks to the system, I knew there were more than ten people there.
I didn't know what these people were doing in front of a single door.
Was it that hard to break? I thought.
If I started fighting them, it could cause the place to collapse. I couldn't face them directly.
Even if they found , they would use magic spells, which would destroy the place. So, I decided to hide inside the Gregor Mansion again.
After crossing a few more chambers, I finally spotted the wizards. They were facing a huge black door. No one could sense my presence.
At any mont, one of them could casually turn around. Right now, they were busy discussing things among themselves.
I was facing their backs. My gaze fell on the huge black door and the spacious area. The space could accommodate even ten more wizards.
I walked up to them. Before anyone could turn around toward .
Swoosh!
I appeared inside the Gregor Mansion. Then I entered the control room and appeared in front of the control mirror.
Outside:
A few wizards suddenly turned around and saw that no one was standing there.
A few of them exchanged looks with each other.
"Did you guys feel anything?" one of them asked.
"I felt soone was standing behind us," a Level-9 Wizard replied.
"I sensed no one. But it was a feeling," a female wizard uttered.
A look of shock appeared on their faces. How could everyone have the sa feeling? They sensed no wizard presence.
It was strange. At this ti, the other wizards inspecting the black door stopped talking and noticed the group.
"What's wrong?" one of them asked.
They explained the weird feeling. Hearing that, the others were shocked as well. How could everyone feel the presence of soone else?
Then, the wizards' gazes fell on the black door. They suddenly thought it could be a trick of the door itself.
"I think there is sothing wrong with the black door. It could be affecting us."
"Let's call the Supre Wizard here. They won't be affected by the black door," a Level-9 Wizard said.
Hearing that, the others agreed. A few of the Level-9 Wizards left the place to invite the Supre Wizard.
"Ha…Ha…Ha…"
Inside the Gregor Mansion, a small laugh left my mouth. I didn't expect them to suspect the black door itself.
Then my gaze turned solemn. The Black door was not ordinary.
