From MC’s Perspective:
I was watching the situation from the Gregor Mansion. It was terrifying.
I hadn’t expected there could be a monster here. What was even more terrifying? It was a 10th Order Monster.
Fortunately, I didn’t make the decision to check those walls. If I had opened the hidden door, the dark roots would have attacked instead.
My gaze then followed the dark roots’ movents. The dark roots chased down to the entrance before coming to a halt.
Then, sothing inside the hidden room pulled back the dark tree roots. In the blink of an eye, the dark roots disappeared into the room.
Seeing that, my eyes turned solemn. What was even more amazing? The dark tree roots hadn’t caused any disturbance.
Otherwise, the whole underground stone chamber would have collapsed.
"What to do now?" I asked myself.
If I didn’t escape now, then the old man would co with more backup. Then a fight could break out here.
Swoosh!
I appeared outside. Then I hovered a few inches above the ground. My gaze then fell on the hidden door. No monster or human could sense .
I decided to dart out towards the exit before the monster or the Old man could co.
Then I shifted from the spot and was about to cross the place.
My gaze fell on the two old n and the wizards behind them. Especially, the aura of the bald old man was more threatening than the Supre Wizard.
[Ding! Warning]
[Magic Lord was detected]
The system voice sounded in my mind.
My expression changed drastically. The Magic Lord’s arrival was unexpected. Then I rushed inside the hidden room instead.
This all happened within split seconds.
Swoosh!
Just as I entered the room, sothing caught my leg at high speed and wrapped around it.
[Ding! The 10th Order Dark root vine is attacking the host.]
I heard the system voice sound in my mind. Before my body could slam into the nearby wall, I appeared inside the Gregor Mansion along with the vine monster.
Swoosh!
Both of us disappeared from the spot. The next second, a bald old man appeared inside the room. But he saw nothing here.
This all happened within a fraction of a second.
"How is this possible?" The bald old man asked himself.
He was shocked to the core. Just as he entered the tunnel, he found sothing or soone entering the room.
So he rushed in the next second to check the place. But he found nothing here.
Swoosh!
The next second, the old man Supre entered the room. He was nervous. But when he saw that Lord Tom was here, he stopped.
But there was no sign of the 10th Order Monster. The old man misunderstood that the Lord had killed the monster.
A bright smile appeared on his face.

Inside the Gregor Mansion, both the monster and I appeared in the middle of the hall.
Boom!
In the blink of an eye, the dark roots, like large vines, struck those walls, tables, and chairs.
My feet landed on the ground. Seeing that the 10th Order Monster was causing havoc, I didn’t know what to do.
Swoosh!
One of the roots darted towards all of a sudden.
"Repulsive Force."
I cast the magic spell the next mont. A powerful repulsive force released from my body. It imdiately ca in contact with the vine.
Boom!
A deafening noise sounded. The Gregor Mansion was shaking, but it didn’t fall apart. My eyes flashed with seriousness.
Today would be the test for the Gregor Mansion’s build quality.
The vine, pushed back by the repulsive force, collided with the walls.
Seeing that, I imdiately cast another magic spell.
"Gravity Field."
A terrifyingly powerful gravitational pressure appeared inside the room. The dark root vine imdiately lay flat on the ground.
Screech!
A weird sound ca from the dark root vine. It was not moving at all. The vine was completely under control.
Seeing that I was pressuring the 10th Order Monster, my eyes flickered. It was the first ti for to put the monster under pressure without relying on the artifact.
Outside,
The bald-headed old man had completely searched the room. But he found nothing. He was sure that his instincts were right.
He had seen sothing moving into this room. Then the old man thought of sothing else. He turned towards the Supre Wizard.
"Buck, where is the plant type monster?" He asked.
Hearing that, the old man who was the Supre Wizard was taken aback.
He said, "Lord Tom, I thought you had already killed the monster."
Tom’s old eyes flickered.
"No, when I entered the room, the room was empty. There was no monster here,"he replied.
"Impossible," Buck uttered.
He was sure that the terrifying monster had chased him till the entrance.
Old man Tom frowned. He found that Buck’s reaction was real. He believed that his words must be true. So he once again turned his attention toward the room and started searching it.
Supre Wizard Buck ca back to his senses. He then realised sothing and said, "Lord, there could be more hidden rooms. Otherwise, it’s impossible for the monster to escape."
Lord Tom was confused. He thought the movent earlier was caused by the plant monster. It must have escaped into so other room.
At this ti, there were level-9 Wizards waiting in the tunnel. They didn’t enter the hidden room.
A few minutes later,
Lord Tom and Buck walked out of the hidden room. Both of them were confused. They didn’t find any hidden rooms.
The level-9 Wizards imdiately beca alert.
Tom said, "Let’s go and see the end of the tunnel."
"Okay," Buck replied.
Buck then turned towards the level-9 Wizards and told them to investigate the place first.
Hearing that, the level-9 Wizards started moving forward. They didn’t know what had happened here previously.
Lord Tom and Supre Wizard Buck started following them from behind. Old man Tom spread his ntal power to check the tunnel.
This stone chamber was important to them. He couldn’t afford to have any damages here. So it was important for him to find the monster first.

Gregor Mansion:
As the seconds went by, the pressure on the dark root vine increased. If this went on, the gravity field would beco even stronger.
It didn’t take long for injuries to appear on the vines. The vine’s body was over 20 ters long. It was totally entangled in the room.
Pfff!
Dark green blood was seeping out from the wounds. The blood drops were dyeing the floor.
Screech!
The dark root vine made a painful sound. For so reason, I didn’t like hurting the monster more. It was not an ordinary monster.
But a 10th Order Monster had intelligence. Since it was living here, it must have known about the secrets of the hidden stone chambers.
Suddenly, I thought about the Red Scroll.
I already had three crimson orbs floating in my mind. I took a risk to subdue Hank, but I didn’t know whether it was okay to take another risk now.
But I thought it was good to subdue a 10th Order Monster. Compared to human wizards, the monster would be more useful to .
Especially when it ca to dealing with supre wizards. Even the old man from earlier had run away in fear.

The next second, I canceled the magic spell. The dark root vine relaxed and continued to lie on the floor.
The monster had intelligence. It understood that the human had stopped attacking for so reason. It didn’t dare to target humans anymore.
Seeing that the monster didn’t attack , I sighed in relief. Then, I took the Red Scroll Artifact out.
[Ding! Warning]
[There is a 50% chance for the host to succeed.]
[The host is advised not to take any chances.]
The system voice sounded in my mind.
Hearing that, I didn’t hesitate. Since there was a 50% chance, I was going to take it.
I poured mana into the Red Scroll Artifact. The Artifact started buzzing.
The dark root vine monster felt sothing was wrong. It was about to do sothing, but then a red orb shot from the Red Scroll Artifact.
It went straight to the body of the dark root vine monster. In the center of the body, there was a dark green crystal gem. It was the mana core of the monster.
The red orb quickly reached the gem and struck it. The next second, red magic chains of characters covered the crystal gem.
Before the monster could realize what had happened, it was subdued.
When it thought about attacking the human, the dark root vine monster felt a shocking sensation from the dark green crystal gem.
On the other hand, I saw that the monster was struggling.
"I know you can understand my words. Right now, your core is under a curse. I have controlled your mana core through this Artifact."
"If you don’t want to die, then you have to obey my orders from here on," I said to the monster.
The dark root vine monster understood the human’s words. Then, it removed its rebellious thoughts. The pain from the crystal gem was gone the next second.
The monster was shocked. Now, it believed in the human’s words.
