From MC’s Perspective
Ti went by.
That noon, we left the huge city and the small creek behind us. We reached a junction where we had to choose a route.
There were multiple paths leading from here. I knew which city to visit next. It was called Thornside City. It was a beautiful city located in the fertile plains.
It was another big city in this region. They had Magic Lord and Supre Wizard families as well. However, the exact number of Magic Lord and Supre Wizard families was unknown.
But it was ntioned that the city was bigger than Scorch Creek City. This ti, I started speaking to Hank, Patrick, and Otto about the city.
Hank’s eyes lit up. He had heard about the city but had never visited. He knew that city had a bigger reputation than Scorch Creek City.
Patrick and Otto exchanged looks. From the Master’s tone, they could tell that the city was not an ordinary city.
"Master, what if you co across the Mage Union people this ti?" Otto asked.
Patrick and Hank wanted to know about it as well.
My eyes flashed with a gleam.
"I have understood that it’s better to stay in such a city. We won’t have a problem with the Evil Wizards. As long as I don’t co across them, then there is no problem," I said to them.
Hearing that, the others agreed. Then, I noticed Otto wanted to say sothing, but he was hesitating.
"Otto, did you find sothing?" I asked with a knowing smile.
Seeing that, Otto was stunned. We were not the only group walking on the path; there were groups in front and behind us. However, there was at least a hundred-ter gap between us.
"Master, it appears soone is targeting you. There is a wandering wizard group of five mbers. They were discussing capturing you."
"It appears the mastermind behind their plan was so bookstore owner," Otto said in a solemn tone.
An icy cold glint appeared in my eyes. I recalled the bookstore owner back then; he seed to mind his own business. I had thought he was honest. But it turned out I had appeared as a fat sheep in his eyes.
Patrick observed the five wizards. His eyes flashed with a sharp glint. He found three Supre Wizards in disguise, including the middle-aged man who was showing hostility.
For a second, Patrick started panicking. Then he recalled that Master Vincent still had one more mber. The 10th Order Vine Monster could easily take them down.
He then relaxed. Otto and Hank were not scared either. How could they forget a 10th Order Monster? It was resting right now.
Ti went by.
We ca to a barren land. At this ti, the team ahead of us had used their flight ability to leave the place.
Only we and the group behind us were traveling on this barren land. The five-mber wizard group thought it was a good ti to act.
Except for the three Supre Wizards, the other two were Level-9 Wizards.
The middle-aged man said, "It’s ti to act."
The next second, they disappeared from the spot and surrounded our group of four from all sides.
On the other hand, the system warned . I imdiately used the system function to probe the magic power of the five of them.
The middle-aged man, who was the main guy, was an Earth Elental Supre Wizard. I imdiately told Patrick and Otto to take care of the other two Supres.
Hank would take care of the two Level-9 Wizards. They imdiately followed the order and went to et their enemies.
Hank had regained his middle-aged appearance. He was quite old before reaching the end of his lifespan, so he had mastered many killing thods.
Boom!
The fighting started in the blink of an eye. Hank led the two Level-9 Wizards away from the spot.
Similarly, Patrick and Otto engaged with the two Supres away from the spot.
Now, only the middle-aged man and I were facing each other.
The middle-aged man smiled and said, "Fortunately, my friend gave the correct information. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have brought two Supre Wizards to capture you."
"If you obediently give up and follow , I will spare your life," he added.
"What do you want to do?" I asked.
I showed a fake fearful expression. The middle-aged man didn’t realize what was wrong with the situation. I was the one who sent those guys away. He didn’t seem to realize that.
The middle-aged man let out a chuckle before saying, "Our organization does the job of kidnapping and selling wizard corpses. We usually target strong and lone wizards."
"But this ti, our client wanted the corpse of a young Level-9 Wizard. So we have decided to capture you," he added.
The next second, he used his magic spell.
Boom!
A huge boulder broke from the ground. It floated in mid-air. Then, he shot it towards .
Since the client wanted the corpse, he wanted to kill as soon as possible. He didn’t know how strong the Supre Wizards accompanying were earlier. He wanted to complete the task before their arrival.
Boom!
The big boulder tore through the air before reaching .
A sharp glint flashed in my eyes.
"Gravity Blast!"
I cast the 7th stage of the magic spell. A dark wisp of gray magic shot from my hand. The magic spell attack swept across in a straight line before hitting the rock boulder.
Boom!
The huge boulder, over 3 ters in size, broke into several pieces in the sky before falling to the ground.
The middle-aged man was stunned. Though it was not his full strength, the attack was enough to injure Level-9 Wizards.
Then he realized sothing: the young person might have reached the limit. His eyes flashed with excitent.
The better my strength was, the better the corpse would be. He thought the client would be happier now. He decided not to waste ti anymore.
