Hollow Pit
The Magic Lord was in deep thought. He had witnessed the disturbance of mana above the ancient pit. It had occurred after countless years.
This place was abandoned when soone at the level of a Magic Lord died.
Right now, his eyes flashed with greed. It had been ages; he didn’t think the Hollow Pit posed a threat to the Magic Lords anymore.
Even the Mage Union didn’t declare the place a forbidden area, which showed that whatever things were hiding inside were weakening.
"No, I can’t delay any longer. So old monsters would have noticed the disturbance already. They would definitely co here," he said to himself.
It was not possible under normal situations because the place was still far away from the prosperous magic city and other unknown lands around it.
But the fall of Sand City had changed everything. Many old monsters continued to co to investigate Sand Fall City.
Magic Lord Johan made the decision. If he wanted to beco a Forbidden Wizard, he needed to take so risk. The old thod was no longer feasible.
He glanced back at the city. His eyes flashed with a gleam. Then he turned around and looked at the ancient pit.

The next second, he made a decision and entered the Hollow Pit. He continued to go down. The crack was deeper than he expected.
The surroundings were pitch dark, but for a Magic Lord, it was a small matter. He could already see under this darkness.
A few minutes later, he increased his speed. He continued to go down. He saw no obstacles down there.
After 1000 ters deeper, he saw sothing which made him gasp.
"Giant?" Johan uttered.
Right now, he was standing above the dark water. A mutilated giant body was in the middle of the black water.
He continued to observe the humanoid. He didn’t know whether it was a puppet or undead magic. He didn’t dare to use ntal power to probe.
He turned around and glanced at the ground. Materials were scattered across the floor, including magic items from the old era.
So of them still carried a magic aura. Upon confirming that, a bright smile appeared on Johan’s face. His gamble had worked.
His gaze swept over the land. He saw piles of skeletons, but there was no sign of the wandering wizard; not even his clothes were found.
"Pity, a talented wizard was forced to disappear into thin air," Johan muttered. He was the one from whom the wandering wizard had fled.
Now he thought everything was connected. If not for the kid, the thing here would not have been disturbed. The mana above wouldn’t be chaotic.
He wouldn’t have found this place in the end, as well.
Now he thought he needed to thank the wandering wizard. The wandering wizard escaped from the city, but he died in the ancient pit.
He turned around and saw that humanoid again. He thought that the humanoid’s power must have gone. He could try looting the magic items here.
So, he turned around and landed on the ground. In the blink of an eye, he touched the broken magic items scattered across the surface.
He didn’t know he had already triggered the disturbance.
Boom!
The next second, a black hand appeared above the black water. It made its appearance faster than before.
Because it sensed the magic aura of the Magic Lord, it got triggered faster.
Magic Lord Johan felt a sense of crisis a sense of crisis he had never felt before. His mind raced. He moved a few ters higher to flee.
Pfff!
But the black hand acted. It grabbed the Magic Lord’s body in a flash. Under his horrifying gaze, his body exploded into pieces.
Blood mixed with organs splattered on the ground. Not even the bones were spared; they were crushed to pieces. Johan wouldn’t have thought he would end his life here.
He had miscalculated everything.
