Tulip City
The following day, several flying vehicles left Tulip City, headed toward Crystal City. Each of the flying vehicles was incredibly luxurious.
Not only that, the flying vehicles are strong as well. They can withstand the powerful spell attacks.
From their appearance, people could guess that these vehicles belonged to the wizard families.
Passersby and locals were shocked. They didn’t know where such a lineup was going.
There were more than 20 vehicles in the air, but seven of them were particularly eye-catching. Inside each of those seven, a Magic Lord-level powerhouse was present.
They were the ancestors of the six wizard families.
The vehicle traveling in the middle was the most important because it didn’t belong to any of the wizard families.
Instead, this particular flying vehicle carried the emblem of the Fla Elental Magic Tower.
Inside the vehicle, Magic Lord Scott stood with his arms crossed. His gaze deepened; nobody knew what he was thinking.
They were heading to Crystal City, and anyone with up-to-date knowledge could easily discern their destination.

Crystal City-Shop
The shop was as active as usual. A few custors were in the gallery room, while I paced back and forth on the terrace.
I was watching the news on my device. Among the videos, one particular report caught my eye. It was about Tulip City.
Many vehicles had left Tulip City. In the comnts, many journalists speculated about the destination: they were coming toward Crystal City.
I furrowed my eyebrows. If my guess was right, then their destination was indeed my shop.
An idea ca to mind, I could take the mbers and hide inside the mansion. However, Lord Erwin had given his word that he would take care of the problem.
After weighing the pros and cons, I decided to confront them. As long as there was no Forbidden Wizard, I could handle the situation.
I took a deep breath before checking my inventory. There were many Wizard Artifacts in the system space.
I had the Evil Mirror with . It was a living artifact, but the mana core-eating function only worked on Supre Wizards.
"System, can I use the Evil Mirror on a Forbidden Wizard?" I asked.
[Ding! The Evil Artifact has limitations. It can only work on Supre Wizards.]
The system’s voice sounded in my mind. Hearing that, I felt a wave of disappointnt. Compared to other magic artifacts, the mana core-eating artifact was a living entity.
"System, is there no other way?" I asked.
[Ding! The host can upgrade the living artifact.]
[Ding! The host can use a Crystal Order to upgrade it.]
The system’s answer lifted a huge weight off my shoulders. I didn’t expect such a positive result; I should have asked sooner.
A surge of excitent rose in my heart. I had been wondering how to deal with a Magic Lord, and now I had an opportunity.
I left the terrace and went back to my room. After entering, I teleported inside the Gregor Mansion. I appeared in the hall and brought out the mana core-eating artifact. It was a mirror-type living artifact.
"System, how do I upgrade it?" I asked.
[Ding! Host, place the Crystal Core on the mirror.]
I followed the system’s instructions, picking the Crystal Core from the system space and placing it on the mirror. The next second, sothing changed. The transparent mirror swallowed the Crystal Core in a flash.
My eyes flashed with surprise. It didn’t take long for the transformation to begin. As ti passed, black pattern lines appeared on the fras. The design was beautiful and elegant.
The mirror itself changed, becoming even sturdier. Once the transformation was complete, the mirror shrank to the size of a palm and fell into my hand.
"System, what happened?" I asked.
[Ding! The Mana Core-eating Artifact has been upgraded.]
[Ding! It can now withstand attacks from a Magic Lord-level powerhouse.]
[Ding! The mirror requires more similar treasures to consu the mana core of a Magic Lord.]
The earlier excitent vanished in the blink of an eye. I thought I could use it to defeat a Magic Lord, but it could only withstand their attacks. I cald my heart; I should have known.
I had underestimated the power of the Magic Lords. It was not easy to injure them and consu their mana cores. Regardless, it was better than nothing.
Once my mind cleared, my gaze fell on the mirror artifact. Instead of putting it away, I placed it against my body, right above my heart. Feeling more relieved, I returned to the gallery room.
The custors greeted , and I nodded to them before heading to the office. I sat back in my seat and thought of Manager Lara.
I wasn’t sure if she was coming or not, so I picked up my device and called her. She answered imdiately, which put my heart at ease.
"Manager Lara, are you coming?" I asked.
"I’ve seen the news. I’m on my way and will reach you before they do. Don’t worry," Manager Lara assured .
It was a relief, but my mind was still racing for solutions. One magic artifact was not enough; it provided no offensive support and could only block a few hits. I went through the system inventory again.
My gaze fell on the skeleton. It was the corpse of the Magic Lord I had retrieved from the hollow pit. Although it was a powerful entity, the physique appeared to be that of a six-year-old.
The system had confird it was the corpse of an "old monster" with a physique-related magic ability.
"System, is there any way to use this against a Magic Lord?"
[Ding! The host will be injured upon touching the skeleton.]
I sighed at the system’s answer. I recalled my previous injuries; it had taken quite so ti to recover. I began to sift through the rest of my items, looking for anything else that might help.
I recalled looting the storage bracelet of the Forbidden Wizard a long ti ago. It happened in the forbidden zone.
