SunHaven City — Underground Chamber
I’m inside the underground chamber. The light from the gadget illuminated the place.
As the lights fell on the dark spaces, things were revealed. My gaze imdiately fell on the small altar set up in the middle of the room.
The altar was black with weird patterns all over it. My gaze then shifted.
I looked at the dark red smoke. The altar was surrounded by it. The dark red smoke from earlier had co from there.
Everyone had fainted on the spot because of it.
[Ding! A living artifact is detected.]
[Ding! There is a chance of rging two living artifacts.]
[Ding! The host can use the mana core eating artifact or red magic scroll to rge with dark red orb.]
The system voice sounded in my mind. Hearing that, I was stunned. For a second, I thought I was hearing sothing wrong.
It took a few minutes to realize it was true.
I snapped back and looked towards the dark red orb. I didn’t know whether it was okay to touch it with my bare hands.
When I asked the system, it said it was fatal. I imdiately thought of the Zero Puppet.

The next second, I disappeared from the spot. I entered the Gregor Mansion and found the Zero Puppet. I put in the mid-grade mana stones and activated it.

But the scene in front of stunned . The Zero Puppet looked different; it was covered in dark red smoke.
"What happened?" I asked myself.
I could see the Zero Puppet undergoing a transformation. I tried to find the dark red orb, but it was nowhere to be seen. I used the system probe function.

The system gave the answer, but it left speechless.
"You told that only living artifacts can fuse with each other. So what’s the situation right now?" I asked the system. The situation was so confusing.

The system answered in my mind, and I imdiately understood the situation.
The Zero Puppet’s background was not ordinary. I’m the inheritor of the Star Puppet Inheritance. I didn’t have ti to go back ho yet; I still have to collect the remaining inheritance there.
