Now reading: Chapter 1401: Transformation from Greatest Legacy of the Magus Universe, a Action novel by Esenel.

The fear of death was the only thing keeping Adam from taking the next step.

Now that he had co to terms with it, he found his resolve. He was still afraid, however. He was frightened. But he was not going to miss this opportunity.

Although painful, he was okay with not being able to achieve his dream. If he were to truly die now, at least he would have died in pursuit of his dream.

Back inside the dark cave, he raised a hand and perford a simple hand seal.

Following that, the mana gathering formation was activated. A large amount of mana from outside began funneling into the cave. Adam could instantly feel the difference.

And then, he weaved another hand seal, activating the concealnt formation. The cave was now hidden from any prying eyes, and so was the irregular flow of mana into it.

Adam cast Magus Hands and gently retrieved the pair of eyeballs. As the eyeballs hovered before him, he grabbed the bowl of dark red liquid.

He inhaled deeply, then exhaled.

He repeated the process a few tis.

Finally...

He drank the concoction in one go. Imdiately after, he lay down at the center of the runic formation, then willed the Magus Hands to hold the abomination’s eyes an inch away from his hollow sockets.

Before the transformation started, he quickly weaved a series of complex hand seals, activating each and every formation he had carved in the cave.

And then, it began...

The eyeballs moved on their own.

Slowly, deliberately, they drifted into Adam’s eye sockets and settled into place, guided by his mana.

The mont they made contact, his body reacted violently.

Unprecedented pain exploded inside Adam’s skull. It was sharp and overwhelming, forcing a hoarse scream to escape from his throat. His vision, once dark, now detonated into fractured light and shadow as unfamiliar sensory input flooded his mind all at once.

At the sa ti, the concoction settled in his system.

The mixture, distilled from purified abomination blood, the fruits of the unholy tree, rare Grade 4 ingredients, and Adam’s own refined mana, spread through his veins almost instantly.

It did not behave like a potion. No. It acted like a catalyst.

The fluid fused with his bloodstream, altering it on contact, rewriting its properties cell by cell.

The abomination’s blood reacted first. It spread outward from his heart, saturating his circulatory system and suppressing rejection. His body stopped identifying the transplanted eyes as foreign. Instead, they were treated as extentions of himself.

Mana pathways rerouted automatically, forming new connections towards the eyes, reinforcing nerves that had never existed before.

And then...

The real agony began.

From the depths of his eye sockets, thin tendrils of flesh sprouted outward. They wrapped around the eyeballs, threading themselves into optic nerves, burrowing into surrounding tissues, and locking the organs in place.

Every connection burned as it ford. Adam thought that he knew what pain was, but he was wrong. This was real pain. His entire body convulsed as the fusion was underway, pain cascading through his nervous system without pause.

anwhile, the concoction continued its work.

His blood thickened and changed composition, carrying traces of sothing otherworldly, sothing... from the Beyond!

His bones reinforced themselves from within, becoming denser and more resilient. His organs adapted under the extre stress, restructuring to survive the new mana load flowing through them.

Every individual cell inside him began to change, strengthening mbranes, altering energy exchange, and synchronizing with the foreign energy now embedded within him.

Nothing was spared.

Adam’s muscles tightened, torn at a microscopic level, then rebuilt stronger. His nerves expanded their capacity, allowing him to process information far beyond human norms. His mana core destabilized briefly, then settled into a new equilibrium, deeper and heavier than before.

Throughout it all, the pain never ceased. At so point, his voice had given out. Yet, he continued to thrash violently. The pain was constant, all-encompassing, stripping away any sense of ti.

Adam could not tell where one sensation ended and another began. His body was being dismantled and rebuilt simultaneously, forced to adapt or collapse entirely.

But it adapted.

The corruption threatened to transform him into an otherworldly monster, yet he sohow continued to circulate the Five Elental Codex, keeping the corruption at bay and maintaining a delicate balance.

By the ti the process slowed, the eyeballs were fully integrated, anchored securely within his skull. The outlines of countless tendrils danced underneath Adam’s flesh, but the Codex fought back ferociously.

The concoction had fully been absorbed, its effects permanently etched into his body.

As Adam’s physical transformation was about to stabilize, sothing else followed...

Knowledge flooded into Adam’s mind without warning. It did not arrive as thoughts or mories, but as impressions.

It was vast, otherworldly, and unstructured.

His consciousness was overwheld by fragnts of understanding that did not belong to any mortal frawork. Symbols surfaced and vanished before he could grasp them. Layered anings stacked atop one another without explanation.

The corruption ca with it.

A dark, cold pressure pressed against Adam’s spirit sea, probing for entry. It carried intent without emotion, attempting to sink into the core of his being.

But the instant it made contact, the Eternal Soul Lotus reacted!

Its divine presence flared to life, forming a firm, unbreakable boundary. The ntal corruption was completely obliterated.

Yet the knowledge continued to pour in.

Adam perceived gates, not as structures but as concepts. Concealnt followed, not as invisibility, but as absence, as the act of being unacknowledged by reality itself. Then ca dread, understood not as fear, but as pressure. But none of it ca with instructions.

The concepts settled into his brain as symbolisms. Adam could sense their importance, their depth, yet he could not fully interpret them. He could not control them. He was too weak to.

The anings refused to resolve, lingering just beyond comprehension. When the flood of symbolisms finally slowed, the knowledge remained. It lay dormant, waiting for him to one day understand it.

At last, the transformation began to slow.

The violent restructuring within Adam’s body eased. In his mind, the flood of otherworldly knowledge receded. The pressure on his spirit sea weakened as the lotus returned to a quiet, watchful state.

Beneath his skin, eerie movents rippled one last ti. The countless tendrils that had danced through his flesh withdrew inward, dissolving completely as if they had never existed.

The agony was gone. The corruption had passed. The transformation was complete.

What remained was a body and mind that had survived sothing no human was ant to endure.

What remained was soone not ever ant to be.

In the vast outreaches of the Magus Universe, the darling of humanity was born!!
