The tall-masted rchant ship anchored at the dockside of Hannes City's harbor.
Dozens of ships were moored in the dockside; so were from the Acadian Empire, while others were from the Nahua Continent.
As Adam alighted the ship, walked across the wooden gangway, and guided his horse, Luna, to the dockside he could see at least fifty ships docked at the harbor.
"Truly the City of Sails," he murmured.
"Brother, have you been here before?" Valerian, perched on his shoulder and gracefully licking his paw, asked curiously.
"Yes, it was a long ti ago," Adam answered. "It was before you were born. I had co here with Edward and Lisa."
"Brother! Brother!" Valerian lightly tapped the youth's cheek. "Do you think Edward and Lisa must have already reached Ravenfell by now? And what about Aquila and Ennea? They'll be coming too right?!"
Adam glanced at his dear familiar and smiled warmly, "Yes, they'll be there. You'll get to et your friends when we return to Ravenfell."
Valerian was so excited he started clapping with his front paws. After all, Aquila and Ennea—Edward and Lisa's familiars—were born around the sa ti as him and were his childhood friends.
So he couldn't wait to et them and play with them again.
"But it's going to be a while before we go back ho, okay?" Adam added. "There's so work that I need to finish here."
"Okay!" Valerian bead. "Everything is fine as long as I'm with you, brother."
Hearing his response, Adam's heart was ward. "Cheeky brat."
But he knew Valerian very well and couldn't help but ask, "So what is it? What do you want this ti?"
"Ehehe," the young dragon giggled, rubbing his paws together as a crafty glint flashed in his topaz eyes. "Brother, since we are on vacation, shouldn't you give so money to spend?"
Adam rolled his eyes. "And what about the money I gave you last month? Wait, it hasn't even been a month."
"Brother, I am saving that money for our future!" Valerian spoke with a deadpan expression. "I must not spend it, no, no, no."
As the three of them walked through Hannes Harbor, they were t with the curious and terrified gazes of all those who walked by.
Curious because Adams's height was more than two ters and he looked like a giant among the local n.
Add to that, his thick black beard that he hadn't shaved in a month, and his fair and blemish-free skin, thanks to bathing a couple of tis in the Sacred Waters of Lustrum, gave him a very refined and striking appearance.
The Astral Tyrant Manual also constantly pushed his body to reach the optimal level, and this included his appearance.
So people, especially won, who set eyes on him couldn't help but stare at him for a mont longer.
Now, terrified because Adam was holding onto the reins of an enormous horse and guiding him through the crowd.
The Night Mare was bigger than any horse the people here had ever seen. Furthermore, Luna naturally radiated an aura of horror, causing the passersby to not even dare step closer.
As Adam, Luna, and Valerian slowly walked toward the heart of the city, they drew the gazes of everyone who passed by.
So of the children, the bold ones, even ca forward and mischievously pulled the hems of Adam's clothes. And when Adam gazed at them, they looked at him with bright eyes and waved.
The raven-haired youth, when he was not fighting, had a very calm and balanced aura that drew people to him.
This was the result of him practicing the Five Elental Codex. The five fundantal elents that made up the world now revolved within his body in absolute harmony, fusing and forming a type of mana that was pure and well-balanced.
Adam smiled warmly at the kids. He even retrieved so sweets and fruits from his earrings and handed them to them. Needless to say, the children were ecstatic.
He then gazed at his dear familiar with an arched brow. "Saving it for our future? Is that the best excuse you could co up with?"
"Myu!" Valerian gasped in surprise. "Brother, it is not an excuse! Rowan keeps telling that I must save money no matter how much money I make. I cannot squander them all! Brother, trust ! I love gold—saving gold, I an. Yes, that's what I an. Anyways, trust ."
Adam's shoulders started to heave up and down and he burst into laughter. He felt like Valerian could have a bright future in theatrical plays.
He conjured a small leather pouch from his black-hooped earrings and handed it to the young dragon. "Don't waste it."
Valerian placed his paw on the leather pouch and the next mont, it vanished inside his red-star earring—the storage artifact that Adam previously used.
"Myu~" the young dragon fondly licked Adam's cheek. "Brother, I am going to tour the city on my own."
"Alright," Adam said warmly. "Don't leave the city."
"Okay!" The next mont, he hopped off his shoulders and rrily ran through the street, soon disappearing amidst the crowd.
Adam was not bothered about the young dragon getting lost, or him being unable to find him. Firstly, he could rely on the strong connection they shared because of the familiar contract.
Secondly, after advancing to the Mana Vortex Rank, Adam's sensory capabilities had also vastly increased.
With the help of the white lotus, he could now use the Sphere of Resonance to a much wider degree, making it easier to locate Valerian—or anyone for that matter, provided he knew their mana signature.
"Alright, girl, looks like it is just you and now." Adam gently patted Luna's head.
The horse stepped forward and nudged her head against his chest.
"I know, I know." Adam nodded. "Once I finish my work here, we'll leave this city. Then you're free to run as long and as fast as you want, okay?"
Luna had been feeling very claustrophobic being on the rchant vessel for so long. And even now, being amongst so many people in the city was not to her liking.
She wanted to run across the expansive grassy plains of the Southern Federation!
The horse neighed, her black eyes flashing with anticipation. Seeing that, Adam smiled. "We won't take a ship back to Ravenfell. You'll be the one taking and Val across the whole continent."
Adam and Luna continued to move towards the deeper part of the city, towards Clover Academy's branch.
The raven-haired youth's expression turned solemn, and he thought to himself, I think the Agent from the Brotherhood here is nad Elorywn…
Right, Elorywn Thorton. He's a Mana Liquefaction Magus and also a professor at the Clover Academy.
Alright then, it's ti to et him and begin investigating that underground tunnel that I ca across twenty years ago.
