Chapter 485: Coppa Italia Semi Finals; Second Leg

The trashing of the Roma team ca to an end at the referee’s whistle and the dejected Roma players walked off the field, their dissatisfaction with their own performance clear to see on their faces.

The manager and the fans weren’t happy either, but there was nothing that could be done about the results of the ga now and they could only do their best to make sure it didn’t happen again.

The Uventus fans on the other hand didn’t plan on letting the Roma players or their fans just leave the stadium without at least ‘peppering’ up their eyes with this loss and jeering chants were sung for a little while.

The Uventus fans only stopped when the Roma players began to leave the field, allowing for another stage of celebrations to ensue on the field.

Jason also headed out to join the players on the field.

***9th February 2021***

The next match for the Uventus team was the second leg of the Coppa Italia finals against Inter Milan and unfortunately for Jason, he still wasn’t cleared by the team’s dical team to play, much to his utmost displeasure.

He wanted nothing more than to get on the field and make a few rough tackles on Skrininar and see how he liked it.

Yes, tackles, and not dribbles. It seed that Skriniar was one of those guys who fear of being dribbled would only make them more aggressive, so Jason planned to show him that he couldn’t only retaliate by dribbling past him.

Unfortunately, there wouldn’t be a chance for that as Jason was scheduled to miss the match, however, Jason gave so of his teammates so suggestions and arrived at the stadium on ti to watch the ga.

The match didn’t take too long a ti to kick off and Jason sat back to watch the ga, pulling out his phone and planning to check a few things.

He had been at the tactical eting for the ga earlier and he knew that the manager wanted the players to play defensively, doing their best to hold on to their lead from the previous ga so the ga wasn’t one that would have too much-attacking efforts from the Uventus side… at least, not until sothing unexpected happened.

For that reason, most of the players in the starting line-up were defensive players and the manager kept the players with the ability to change the ga waiting on the bench so as to avoid wasting their energy prematurely.

As the match picked up the pace, it was clear that the Inter Milan team had caught the drift and were doing their best to get a goal that would change the ga’s situation a little bit.

Because of the away goals rule, they would need at least two to nil to outrightly win the ga and that only made their job more difficult because the Uventus team was prepared to do all they could to make sure the Inter Milan team didn’t even get to leave the starting line.

Since he already knew what to expect, Jason decided to spare himself the tension of watching and focus on sothing else, like reading the annoying-looking file from Maya Singh.

It was a report of the numbers that the company had made in sales since the product’s launch at the beginning of the month and made it clear that she would send it to him every week so he could see how his ‘investnt’ was doing.

Jason who wanted nothing more than to leave all the work to her could unfortunately not find a way to escape this chore even though he wasn’t sure what he would be looking at.

But as he finally opened the file and started looking at the numbers, he didn’t need to be a genius to notice that the company seed to be selling quite well, especially considering that the product released was a new product that didn’t have any presence previously on the market thanks to the heavy re-branding that Rosember had undergone.

‘If these numbers keep up or rise even further, wouldn’t I be at least a billionaire by the ti I’m in my thirties?’ Jason suddenly wondered as his eyes ran through the list of numbers with five digits mostly, as well as a few six digits.

While the grand total of the sales hadn’t even reached a fortieth of the amount Jason originally invested, the numbers he was seeing, as well as the fact that it was still the first week since the product’s launch made Jason have a lot of hope for the future.

The internal math he had quickly done told him that the math checked out.

*WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!*

The sudden eruption of cheers threw Jason out of his thoughts and caused him to refocus on the match where it seed like sothing happened.

His eyes fell back on his pitch where he saw a group of players in white and black running down the sidelines to celebrate.

Jason nodded in approval of what he was seeing, but the assistant referee on the sidelines was saying a no to everyone’s yes.

The flag was up and the goal was quickly reviewed only to find that the goal was to be disallowed for offside.

The Uventus fans were disappointed with the referee’s decision, but there was little that could be done and the ga soon resud.

Despite the goal having been disallowed, the shock from the ball having gone put the Inter Milan team on high alert and reminded them that they could not afford to be too careless and concede another goal as that would set them back even further than they already were.

Thus they beca more cautious with the ball which was exactly what Pirlo wanted and he silently watched from the sidelines, making eye contact with his players from ti to ti to remind them of the ga plan.

In this manner, the ga continued and ti continued to run down, the first half soon coming to an end and the second half kickstarting shortly after.

The second half was reminiscent of the first, but this ti the Inter Milan players were beginning to get a lot bolder on their attempts as ti was slowly running out.

They didn’t need anyone to tell them that the earlier they scored their first, the easier it would be to equalize, however, the Uventus team wasn’t going to make it easy for them to get back into this ga and they were no longer hiding their intentions.

Blatantly playing with ten players behind the ball, and only leaving Chiesa up front in case of a counterattack.

At this point, Jason knew there was nothing to see unless he was an Inter Milan fan who would willingly subscribe to such a tension-filled half of football.

His team was already leading and unless Inter Milan managed to score one goal, there would be nothing to see…

“Unless soone smacks that Skriniar guy,” Jason muttered under his breath.

“What?” the person sitting next to Jason asked, seeming to have heard sothing.

“Nothing,” Jason said without even glancing in her direction as he pulled out his phone once again.

Quickly searching for a very familiar phone number, he tapped the green button to dial and put the phone to his ear.

*”Hello,”* Adele’s voice graced Jason’s ear a ring later.

“What’s up, how’s my baby?” Jason asked, smirking to himself.

*”Your baby?”* Jason could hear the confusion in her voice but he wasn’t going to clarify anything.

*”Your baby is tired, it’s been etings upon etings with all the work you left behind, also, I’ve finally found another player to sign,”* seemingly accepting the na, she began to talk.

“That’s cray and all, but I was asking about Mila… you know, the amazingly beautiful blue BMW i8 I left in your care, ” Jason interrupted, doing his best to hold back a snicker.

*”… Oh Mila…”* the sarcastic shift in her voice was clear enough to any listening ear and it let Jason know that his teasing tactics were working.

*”She’s gutted that you didn’t even spend a few weeks in Italy and you’re already cheating on her with a high-maintenance girl,”*

“Wha!?” Jason was surprised to have his whole teasing ga turned back on him.

*”She said I should tell you and your new side-piece to enjoy your honeymoon!”* Adele continued, on a roll and not giving Jason any chance to get a word in.

“No no no, it’s not like that, I needed another car for convenience as there are things I need to be locomotive for,” Jason began explaining like a cheating bastard, playing along with whatever was going on.

*”Well Mila said, you can take your locomotive needs and shove it down your side ride’s throat!”* Adele said sternly in an excited tone.

*”And her a**!”* she added in an even louder tone.

“Whoa whoa whoa, damn girl, language,” Jason couldn’t stop himself from laughing out loud.
