Shen Wanyu sighed and walked inside.
The Departnt Head was watering and nurturing him again. His heart felt sweet. When would his mouth ever taste sweet too?
Jiang Linyuan followed her in.
"Sit down and wait."
Shen Wanyu pointed at the couch and ran upstairs to her room.
No unconscious play—instead, she switched to the ignore-play.
Jiang Linyuan sat on the couch, scanning the room. He had to admit, the decor was pretty luxurious.
But did the Departnt Head live alone in such a big house?
"Is that you, Little Fish?"
As he waited, a groggy voice ca from the second floor.
Looking up, he saw a woman in pajamas, her eyes still blurry with sleep.
She stared at Jiang Linyuan sitting downstairs, thought she hadn't woken up yet, and rubbed her eyes again.
Jiang Linyuan mimicked her and rubbed his own eyes. Their gazes t—big eyes staring at big eyes.
"Who are you? Why are you in my house?"
She didn't dare co downstairs, asking dazedly from above.
"Mom?"
Shen Wanyu walked out of her room, apparently having found the keys.
"Little Fish! There's a thief in the house!"
The woman threw herself into Shen Wanyu's arms, making Jiang Linyuan watch with envy.
His Future Mother-in-Law was pretty cute—a grown woman acting like a child.
"This is my friend. I told you about him—the External Liaison Departnt."
Shen Wanyu helplessly pushed the woman away and explained.

The woman's eyes suddenly lit up. She pattered downstairs, sat beside Jiang Linyuan, and looked him up and down:

The woman said indignantly.

"You can leave now."

Shen Wanyu just stared at her quietly and said:
"It's this late. Why aren't you asleep yet? Go to sleep."
"...I'm not sleepy."
The Future Mother-in-Law's tone weakened a bit.

"Departnt Head! How can you talk like that? Is that how you speak to your mom?"
Jiang Linyuan mimicked the Future Mother-in-Law's tone, puffed up with arrogance as he scolded Shen Wanyu.

"Why are you still here?"

Sure, this wasn't his house, and they weren't married, but did that an he deserved to be kicked out?!
"Departnt Head, it's too cold outside. I want a cup of hot water to warm up."
Jiang Linyuan sat on the couch, looking like he wasn't planning to leave.
"Auntie will get you so water."
Hearing this, the Future Mother-in-Law started to get up, but Shen Wanyu stopped her:
"You go back to sleep. It's this late—do you think you're still young? Go to bed."
The Future Mother-in-Law looked a bit wronged. How was Little Fish ever going to date with a personality like this?

Shen Wanyu was silent for a mont, then said:

Shen Wanyu stood up, picked up a teacup, poured so hot water, and handed it over:

"Finish your water and head ho early."

"When do I return the car?"

Shen Wanyu looked at him and smiled back:
"I don't want to."
"How do you know you don't want to without trying?"
Jiang Linyuan grabbed her left hand, humming a weird tune, and started dancing on his own.
"You didn't look that ugly when you danced at the ball. Right now, you look like a wriggling kelp."
Shen Wanyu said with a laugh.
Jiang Linyuan held her hand and spun her around and around:
"Departnt Head, you dance like kelp too."
"...Shut up."
