Naruto: Uchiha Shiroge Rebellion
A whirlwind of thoughts raced through Seii's mind before he pushed them aside. Glancing at the ti, he dove back into his training.
A week later, after rigorous testing, Seii reached a conclusion: his body, now transford again, was 1.4 tis more efficient at strengthening itself when he poured in enough chakra—18 million points daily, to be exact. At this rate, his body would undergo its next transformation in just three and a half months.
It was late April now, so that ant early August. But Seii wasn't planning to wait that long.
Here's why: over the past week, his Sharingan's evolution progress had climbed from (42,700/100,000) to (43,750/100,000). Gaining 150 proficiency points daily, it would take less than 42 days to break through the (50,000/100,000) mark. When that happened, his ntal attribute would surge again, widening the gap with his Physical attribute back to three points.
The higher these base attributes climbed, the bigger the gap between each point beca. Last ti, the imbalance between his ntal and physical attributes had already shown signs of trouble. Seii wasn't about to risk that happening again.
So, he'd have to pause his Sharingan's evolution before it hit (50,000/100,000) and wait for his Physical attribute to catch up. The ti saved from halting his Sharingan training could be redirected to casting Body of the Extre, which would significantly speed up his body's transformation.
That's why he was confident his body could transform well before August.
But what about chakra? By then, his reserve chakra would likely be drained. No problem. Pausing his Sharingan evolution and stopping Reflection of the Heart Technique would free up 3 million chakra points daily. Those could go straight into Body of the Extre.
And if that wasn't enough, in just a couple of weeks, his Dust Release: Boundary Stripping Technique would reach perfection, freeing up another 10 million chakra points. With that, chakra shortage wouldn't be an issue.
"Phew…" Seii let out a long breath after mapping it all out.
"Ti to stick to the plan and keep training."
That's what he thought, and that's what he did.
But as the saying goes, man plans, and the winds of fate blow otherwise.
A month later, urgent news ca from the village: the Hidden Cloud Village had suddenly ramped up its border offensives, sending small squads deep into the Land of Fire to wreak havoc. It felt like the prelude to the Third Great Ninja War all over again.
Konoha—and the entire ninja world—was on edge.
Seii was summoned back to the village to provide support wherever needed. The constant missions naturally threw a wrench in his training.
---
That afternoon, in the Land of Fire, just outside an important town, Seii stood perched on a tree branch in a forest, silently watching a spot in the distance. His Konoha headband glead faintly, and his Byakugan activated without a sound, filling his vision with its piercing clarity.
Through his Byakugan, Seii could clearly see a squad of elite Cloud ninja about 1.5 kiloters away, rushing toward the town.
According to ANBU intelligence, their mission was to destroy the supply warehouse Konoha had set up in the town to disrupt the village's logistics. Seii's mission? Wipe them out.
Yes, his mission—not his team's. For the past while, he'd been sent on solo missions. Minato Namikaze, the Hokage, was using him like a precision blade, deploying him wherever the situation demanded. In that ti, Seii had taken down at least 50, if not 100, enemy ninja.
But facing this many elite ninja at once? That was a first for this stretch of missions.
Whoosh.
Without a sound, Seii's figure vanished from the branch.
---
Up ahead, in the forest, the Cloud Village squad moved in a tight, standard formation, pressing forward. Suddenly, the lead Cloud jōnin sensed sothing and shouted, "Watch out!"
His warning barely left his lips when a barrage of shuriken sliced through the air, launched from the shadows and aid at the Cloud ninja.
Clang, clang, clang!
Alerted by their leader, the Cloud ninja reacted swiftly, brandishing their kunai to deflect the onslaught. These were no ordinary ninja—their combat experience was top-notch. Despite the dense hail of shuriken, not a single one of them fell. A few took minor scratches, but nothing that would slow them down.
"Stay sharp!" the lead Cloud jōnin barked again.
At his command, the squad instantly shifted positions. In the blink of an eye, their travel formation morphed into a defensive one. They ford a rough circle, each ninja covering one or two directions, with a third of the group heavily guarding the direction the shuriken had co from.
Rustle, rustle, rustle.
The wind stirred the trees, creating a soft, whispering sound. A heavy, oppressive tension settled over the forest. The chirping of insects and birds, present just monts ago, had vanished.
Gulp.
Soone in the Cloud squad swallowed hard.
Then, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh! Another wave of shuriken—more than before—ca flying from the sa direction.
The lead Cloud jōnin's eyes narrowed. "Everyone, defend!" he shouted.
The squad snapped to attention, blocking the incoming attack with precision.
Clang, clang, clang!
The sound of tal clashing rang out as the shuriken were deflected. This ti, not a single ninja was hit.
When the barrage ended, the lead jōnin sneered loudly, "What's this? Is one of Konoha's Twin Stars only good for skulking in the shadows?"
"Konoha's Twin Stars?!" The words sent a ripple of unease through the Cloud squad before anyone could respond from the shadows.
And for good reason. Over the past while, the nas Uchiha Seii and Uchiha Shisui—Konoha's Twin Stars—had beco infamous. One was a phantom, striking without a trace, with unmatched genjutsu skills. The other was a powerhouse, leaving no survivors in his wake, with only the dying words of a few enemies as proof of his encounters.
How could the Cloud ninja not feel a chill of fear?
