Now reading: Chapter 1416 - 250: Ji Mingya’s Warning, Jiang Ning’s Crisis from Grinding Cultivation Toward Martial Saint, a Action novel by Scenery on the river.

"A first-grade Martial Artist, no one fears! But what if you take another step forward?" Ji Mingya took a step back and then smiled.

At these words, Jiang Ning shook his head.

"Throughout history, many prodigies have tried, not one succeeded, how could I be an exception!"

"They are them, you are you! Do you know that the mont you took off your robe, everyone could tell you had molded a perfect physique, with muscles, bones, and flesh achieving an innate-like aesthetic!" Ji Mingya smiled.

"Perfect physique, akin to innate?" Jiang Ning frowned.

"It seems my Martial Champion doesn’t know about this!" Ji Mingya said with a bright smile.

"I co from a small county, and the Tao Palace’s library did not ntion this concept!" Jiang Ning said.

"The Martial Champion is a lover of books!" Ji Mingya suddenly restrained her smile, looking emotional.

"Reading can enlighten the mind, bring wisdom, and prevent one from being an ignorant brute who only knows how to fight!" Jiang Ning said.

Hearing this, Ji Mingya couldn’t help but be lost in thought.

"There was soone back then who thought the sa way as you!"

"Though his talent and potential were not as great as yours, and his achievents not as high as yours, he was very aware of what he wanted, what he pursued, and he walked step by step to achievents comparable to yours today! Yet he inexplicably died in a place he shouldn’t have gone."

Upon hearing this, Jiang Ning’s eyes slightly narrowed.

He knew who Ji Mingya was talking about.

"You an, his death wasn’t an accident!"

"It seems you already know!" Ji Mingya looked up at Jiang Ning, with a self-mocking smile in her eyes.

"I’ve heard a bit." Jiang Ning said.

Ji Mingya said, "You must understand, under heaven, having a mountain weighing on people’s head is already suffocating them; no one wants another mountain."

"The Grandmasters of the world don’t want it, those surviving Immortals don’t want it, and the Immortal Dao strongn cultivating in the Grotto Heaven don’t want it either."

At this point, Ji Mingya glanced at Jiang Ning and then, with a face full of complexity, continued.

"The people in the Imperial Family don’t want it either, not even my father wants it."

Hearing this last sentence, Jiang Ning’s heart was moved.

He had thought about this before. Two saints under heaven, it contradicts human nature.

But hearing these words from Ji Mingya’s mouth still left a weight on his heart.

"Why, without him, would there even be today’s Great Xia?"

Ji Mingya gave a self-deprecating smile: "Everyone knows, but who wants a sword dangling above their head forever?"

"Even the one on the dragon throne doesn’t want it! Below one person, above millions, who would accept? Life and death not under one’s own control, power not in one’s own hands, who could accept it?"

"Even with that person’s contributions, what of it? Past grace has long worn away over endless ages, now only resentnt and unwillingness remain!"

"Having experienced once such an ordeal of irresistible, unresistible acceptance, no one wants to go through it again!"

"So even if it’s just a possibility, just this possibility is enough to make them reach a consensus!"

"Do you understand?"

The last four words, Ji Mingya spoke while staring into Jiang Ning’s eyes.

Under her intense gaze, Jiang Ning’s pupils remained calm, not a ripple in sight.

"Thank you, Second Princess!!"

As he spoke, Jiang Ning bowed to Ji Mingya.

"Seems I was overthinking it; you’ve already thought of these things!" Ji Mingya suddenly smiled broadly, her expression relaxed.

Jiang Ning said: "I had speculated on this, but your words, Second Princess, made more certain of my suspicions!"

"A tree standing above the forest will be blown by the wind!" Ji Mingya said: "I offer this phrase to you today!"

"Thank you for the reminder, Second Princess!" Jiang Ning said.

"If you truly want to thank , why not beco my advisor?" Ji Mingya smiled, stretching out a hand as if to touch Jiang Ning’s face.

Jiang Ning imdiately stepped back, putting so distance between them.

"Second Princess, please don’t joke!" Jiang Ning said seriously.

"No fun! So young and so serious, can’t even take a joke!" Ji Mingya pouted and then swung her large flowing sleeves.

"From now on, be cautious! Don’t et the sa end as my husband back then! I don’t want my sister Yueer to end up like in the future!"

As she spoke, Ji Mingya gradually moved away.

Though her steps were gracefully slow, her speed was not.

As her figure slipped behind a large tree, she vanished from sight.

Jiang Ning subsequently swept the area with his Divine Thought, but Ji Mingya’s presence was no longer behind the tree.

At this mont, his brow furrowed tightly, and Ji Mingya’s words continued to echo in his mind.

Those words were not small impacts within him.

He had no doubt about Ji Mingya’s words.

Not only because of Ji Mingya’s emotional revelation but also because he had pondered this aspect long ago.

The saying goes: two tigers cannot share one mountain; how could there be two saints under heaven?

The entire world, now described as having two saints in Great Xia, couldn’t be more accurate.

One Martial Saint, one Holy Emperor.

At this point, he suddenly understood why Emperor Ning was called the Holy Emperor.

With all this in mind, he couldn’t help but clench his fist, the sense of crisis dispersing his joy.

"I must reach first-grade quickly! If my strength precedes the danger in improvent, then I will naturally be safe."

Squeak——

Just at that mont.

The nearby large door slowly opened.

A head with tight braids poked through.

"Master!" Qinghe spoke before Jiang Ning could.

Jiang Ning imdiately smiled and walked over.

"How did you know I was here?"

"I just passed the door and heard Master speaking." Qinghe said, her eyes fixated tightly on Jiang Ning.

"Master... is that the Champion’s robe?" Qinghe asked.

"What do you think, does it look good?" Jiang Ning asked.

"Very good!" Qinghe squeezed through the small gap of the door, nodded seriously at Jiang Ning: "Especially as Master wears it, it looks exceptionally good!"

Her eyes were exceptionally bright, seemingly twinkling like stars.

Hearing this, Jiang Ning laughed heartily and casually ruffled her hair: "Let’s go, back to the mansion!"

"Okay!" Qinghe quickly replied, then adjusted her hair and followed behind Jiang Ning.

The heavy door of the National Master Mansion was gently pushed open by Jiang Ning, the door opening silently.

"Master, should the door be closed?" Qinghe asked from behind.

"No need, just leave it ajar!" Jiang Ning said: "Soone from the palace will co shortly to deliver the Champion’s robe and waist token."

"Champion!!" Qinghe exclaid with excitent.

"Why are you so excited?" Jiang Ning asked with a smile.

"Master, this is the Martial Champion!!" Qinghe said, beaming with excitent and enthusiasm: "I am happy for Master!!"

Seeing Qinghe’s expression, Jiang Ning couldn’t help but smile.

"Master, should we go inform Wanwan and others about this great news?" Qinghe asked.

Jiang Ning looked down, his upper body clad only in the Champion’s robe, most of his chest exposed.

"Wait!"

He said and then started to remove his Champion’s robe.

"Master, what are you doing?" Qinghe quickly covered her eyes, though her fingers were splayed wide apart.

Seeing this, Jiang Ning flicked her forehead lightly.

"Ouch!" Qinghe clutched her small head.

"You’re deceiving yourself." Jiang Ning said.

Then, he handed the Champion’s robe to her: "Hold this for !"

"Okay, Master!" Qinghe nodded.

She took the robe Jiang Ning handed her with both hands and held it in her arms.

"Master, your physique is really excellent! I’d love to touch it!"

"Sluuuurp——"

As the words fell, she couldn’t help but suck in a breath of air.

"What kind of excellence?" Jiang Ning suddenly asked seriously.

"Hmm..." Qinghe, hearing the seriousness in Jiang Ning’s tone, pondered before replying: "It’s hard to describe, but it just gives a sense of perfection, a feeling that there is no better physique in the world! This is perfect!!"

Indeed!!

Jiang Ning nodded.

Then he put on a white inner shirt he had just taken out from the Jiezhi Leaf.

Upon seeing this, Qinghe’s eyes showed a hint of regret.

After Jiang Ning put on the inner shirt in front of her, she quickly spread open the Champion’s robe and dressed Jiang Ning in it.

A mont later.

With Qinghe’s help, Jiang Ning was dressed neatly.

"Let’s go, to give my elder brother and sister-in-law congratulations!"
