Now reading: Chapter 10: Snowman Knight from Grinding EXP From Fireball Skill, a Eastern novel by Questioning HeavenSeeking the Path.

Watching Gu Ze easily reaping the Snow Elves, Li Wei had a question.

"Why can Ice Arrows kill Snow Elves? Aren’t they Elental Elves? The textbook says Elental Elves are immune to damage from their corresponding elent."

Gu Ze lowered his Magic Staff to rest for a mont.

He smiled and said, "Common Snow Elves are just the prototype of Elental Elves. Even the larger ones don’t count as true Elental Elves."

"True Elental Elves have their own consciousness. Snow Elves are just aggregates of ice and snow elents without any consciousness of their own. The elental bonds that form their bodies are very weak, so a single light blow can disperse them."

"Besides, even true Elental Elves aren’t completely immune to Elental Magic. Everything has its limits. Elental Magic that exceeds an Elf’s tolerance threshold can kill it."

"However, as a Mage, one should always choose the most suitable Magic to face an enemy."

Li Wei nodded thoughtfully.

He gazed down at the battlefield below. After watching for a while, his hands started to itch, and he felt an urge to kill a Snow Elf just for the thrill of it.

Unfortunately, the Snow Elves were too far away. His Small Fireball Technique might not be able to travel that distance.

Thinking of this, he suddenly understood why Gu Ze was using the Ice Arrow Skill to attack the Snow Elves.

The Ice Arrow Skill was more stable than the Small Fireball Technique and had a longer range.

It wasn’t just Gu Ze. Li Wei looked around and saw that the other Apprentice Mages were also choosing "solid" spells for their ranged attacks.

Wood Thorn Technique, Earth Spear Skill, Flying Stone Skill...

"Snowman Knight!"

A cry of alarm rose from the battlefield. Li Wei quickly looked into the distance.

A figure ca charging out of the blizzard.

The Warriors in the distance saw the Snowman Knight appear and imdiately turned to run back toward the city wall.

The Snowman Knight was a Tier Two Middle Level Demon that belonged to a class of Elental Elves born with instincts.

Elental Elves could use Magic Attacks, and their natural combat Level was one step higher than their actual Level.

This ant the combat power of a Tier Two Middle Level Snowman Knight was comparable to a Tier Two High Level Magic Beast.

Most of the people on the battlefield were Tier One Professionals. There were only a handful of Tier Two Professionals, so naturally, no one dared to face the Snowman Knight alone.

The Snowman Knight chased the crowd to the foot of the city wall.

Li Wei finally got a clear look at the Snowman Knight.

Its entire body was covered in Ice Crystal Armor, and below it were four semi-illusory Elental Tentacles.

From a distance, it looked as if it were floating in mid-air.

With the Snowman Knight’s arrival, the beleaguered Snow Elves, who had been on the defensive, regained their confidence and counter-attacked all the way to the edge of the wall.

Li Wei’s eyes lit up when he saw this. ’A perfect chance!’

He glanced left and right. Seeing that everyone was focused on the Snowman Knight, he secretly began Casting.

The City Lord looked at the Snowman Knight below and said to the Mage beside him, "Mage Aier, I’ll leave this to you."

Mage Aier nodded, raised his Magic Staff, and began chanting a Spell to cast his Magic.

Half a minute later, a violent Magic Fluctuation erupted from the city wall.

Countless Fire Elents converged into a Fire Serpent. With a wave of Mage Aier’s Magic Staff, it shot toward the Snowman Knight at the base of the wall.

Sensing sothing was wrong, the Snowman Knight imdiately turned to flee.

But the flying Fire Serpent was far faster than it. In the blink of an eye, it caught up to the Snowman Knight.

BOOM!

The flas exploded, instantly lting the Snowman Knight and clearing a patch of snow five to six ters in diater.

Gu Ze stared at the spot where the Snowman Knight had vanished, a look of reverence on his face.

"A Tier Two Spell, Fire Snake Skill!"

Mage Aier had killed the Snowman Knight in a single strike, earning everyone’s admiration.

The few Tier Three Extraordinary Professionals on the wall all watched Mage Aier with envy.

They all lanted inwardly, ’Mages are just too ridiculous!’

Not only could they easily crush Extraordinary Professionals of the sa tier, but killing enemies of a higher tier was as easy as eating or drinking for them.

For them to take down the Snowman Knight, it would have been a difficult fight, and they might even have gotten injured.

After all, the Snowman Knight was an Elental Elf and not easy to deal with.

With the Snowman Knight dead, the people who had fled back to the city wall all launched a counter-attack.

Suddenly, a small Fireball flew from the city wall and crashed into a group of Snow Elves.

BOOM!

The small Fireball exploded, and its flas engulfed three Snow Elves.

In an instant, the three Snow Elves lted away in the fire.

Li Wei saw a flash of ice-blue light fall from the flas, then disappear into the snow.

’Huh? What was that?’

When Gu Ze saw the Small Fireball Technique, he instinctively turned his head toward the caster.

Seeing Li Wei, a look of shock gradually spread across his face.

"Did you cast that Small Fireball Technique just now?" Gu Ze asked in astonishnt.

Li Wei said, a little embarrassed, "Yeah. I failed the first ti, but it worked on the second try."

Gu Ze sucked in a sharp breath. ’How long has it been since Li Wei started learning the Small Fireball Technique?’

It had only been two months.

And he could already cast it successfully!

Even with only a fifty percent success rate, learning a Tier Zero Magic in two months was a sign of outstanding talent.

It had taken Gu Ze half a year of practice to successfully cast his first spell, and even after another half a year, his success rate never surpassed fifty percent.

Several other Apprentice Mages nearby also noticed what happened. One of them had taught Li Wei in a class before and had so impression of him.

"I rember you. Weren’t you a Junior Apprentice?" one of the Apprentice Mages said in surprise.

Hearing this, the others also showed their astonishnt. It wasn’t very surprising for an Apprentice Mage to cast a spell, but for a re Junior Apprentice to be able to do so was a shock to everyone.

Gu Ze explained, "Two months ago, he succeeded in his Cultivation and gained Mana, becoming an official Mage Apprentice."

This statent shocked them even more.

Going from a Mage Apprentice who had just gained Mana to one who could cast Magic, all in two months... that progress was simply too fast!

It was a bit hard for them to accept, and their confidence took a heavy blow.

One of the Apprentice Mages noticed Li Wei’s youthful face and asked curiously, "How old are you?"

Li Wei replied, "Fifteen."

Everyone was stunned. Younger ant higher potential.

Li Wei was only fifteen. His cognitive and comprehension abilities were still in a phase of rapid growth. His future potential was imnse.

Soone took a deep breath and said with envy, "If you can beco an Official Mage within five years, you’ll be the youngest Mage Maple City has seen in a hundred years!"

Hearing this, the others also looked on with envy.

If age was a asure of a Mage’s strength,

then youth was a Mage’s capital.

A Mage needed a vast amount of ti to study Magic Knowledge.

The earlier one beca a Mage, the more Magic Knowledge they could learn, the farther they could go, and the greater their future achievents would be.

Apprentice, Mage Apprentice, and Apprentice Mage—there was no essential difference between them. They were all still ordinary people.

Only by becoming a true Official Mage could one be considered a genuine Extraordinary Professional!

Becoming a Mage was the first step in exploring Magic and uncovering the secrets of the extraordinary.

Before they knew it, the Winter Festival had co to a close.

All the Snow Elves that had appeared with the blizzard were eliminated, and the storm’s power was greatly diminished. There would be no more large-scale blizzards this winter, allowing the people of Maple City to enjoy a peaceful season.

This was also the main reason why the Winter Festival was held on schedule every year.

Li Wei followed the others, preparing to return to the Mage Tower.

A soldier ran over, holding a blue crystal in both hands and presenting it to him.

"Master Mage, this is the Ice Crystal Stone dropped by the Snow Elf you killed."
