"Okay," Li Wei agreed.
Alice stared at Li Wei. "I never expected you to be that great master’s disciple."
Li Wei asked curiously, "What did my master do in the past? Why does everyone respect him so much? From what I can tell, his Power seems to be on par with yours, City Lord."
Alice gave Li Wei a surprised look.
"Your master never told you about his past?"
Li Wei shook his head. "No."
Alice smiled. "Then it’s not my place to say. If you want to know, you should ask your master."
At this, Li Wei understood that she wasn’t going to tell him.
He didn’t press the matter further.
The more he learned, the more he realized that astounding secrets were hidden behind Torresta’s identity.
Li Wei had a faint guess forming in his mind.
He bid Alice farewell and left the Dream World.
「Inside the small wooden cabin in the Peach Blossom Spring Realm.」
Li Wei slowly opened his eyes.
Evelyn, who had been keeping a close watch on Li Wei, was the first to notice him waking up.
She quickly asked, "How did it go?"
Li Wei sat up and said with a relaxed tone, "It’s resolved. Alice is clearing away the rest of the curse. She should wake up in a little while."
Everyone breathed a collective sigh of relief at his words.
Bella looked at Li Wei, her eyes filled with admiration.
"I never knew you had this kind of ability. The expert Alice said she was waiting for... that couldn’t be you, could it?"
Li Wei smiled. "Perhaps."
He didn’t offer any further explanation.
Seeing that Alice would soon awaken, Kristiman said with a smile, "Everyone has been traveling for so long. You must all be hungry, right?"
"Co eat. I’ve prepared so food for everyone."
"These are all local specialties of the Peach Blossom Spring Realm. The peaches are delicious—much sweeter and juicier than the ones from the outside world."
"Try this. It’s roasted Poisonous Scorpion Beast at. It’s excellent."
Everyone relaxed, eating and chatting while they waited for Alice to awaken.
During their conversation, Kristiman and Bella also learned of the dramatic changes in the outside world.
They were full of curiosity about the newly established Beixuan Kingdom.
Bella held a large skewer of roasted at and took a huge bite, juice dripping from the corner of her mouth.
After a few chews, she said loudly, "When the City Lord gets back, we have to take back Flying Flower City and teach that bastard Kira a lesson!"
"If he hadn’t ambushed her, how could he possibly be a match for the Lord City Lord?"
Bella was full of disdain for Kira.
Though she had once lost to him, it was only because Kira had used underhanded tactics.
Kristiman nodded in agreent. "That’s right. We absolutely have to teach Kira a lesson."
He had also suffered at Kira’s hands.
Evelyn said, "Kira conspired with the Black Cultists to harm the Lord City Lord. That’s a violation of the Empire’s laws. As long as we expose his actions, he won’t be able to remain the City Lord of Flying Flower City, even if we don’t lift a finger."
She preferred to rely on external forces to achieve this.
She didn’t want a direct confrontation with Kira.
Right now, they were at a disadvantage.
Even with the support of the Beixuan Kingdom, their overall strength was still far inferior to Kira’s.
During the years Alice was missing, Kira had consolidated control over all the various factions in Flying Flower City.
Only a small faction that followed Evelyn and remained loyal to Alice was left.
These people were not faring well.

Kira had to maintain appearances for the rest of Flying Flower City, so he couldn’t move against Evelyn’s group openly, which placed many restrictions on him.
That was why Evelyn and her followers had been able to remain safely in Flying Flower City.
If Kira decided to throw all caution to the wind and completely give up on obtaining the Power of the Hundred Flowers God, he could easily crush Evelyn and her people with his full strength.
That was why Evelyn wanted to use external forces against Kira.
Li Wei took a bite of a peach. "If you want to use his collaboration with the Black Cultists against him," he said, "you first need to produce conclusive evidence."
"Do you have any?" Li Wei asked.
Evelyn, Bella, and Kristiman exchanged glances, then all shook their heads.
As for a witness, they had one: Alice herself.
But the problem was, her word alone wasn’t enough.
They needed irrefutable proof to solidify the accusation that Kira was colluding with the Black Cultists.
Just then, Alice walked out of the cabin.
"There is proof," she said. "The Black Cultist who attacked all those years ago is still alive, and he’s likely at Kira’s side."
"As long as we find him, we’ll have iron-clad proof of Kira’s collusion with the Black Cultists."
Seeing her, Evelyn, Bella, and Kristiman quickly stood up.
"Lord City Lord."
Alice waved her hand. "Sit down."
She walked over and sat down next to Li Wei.
Lilith glanced at her, then went back to her al.
When it ca to their love of food, Lilith and Lilia were nothing if not consistent.
They never changed.
Kristiman handed Alice a washed peach.
"City Lord, have a peach."
Alice accepted the peach. "Mm, thank you."
The relationship between the City Lord of Flying Flower City and the Hundred Flowers Clan seed more like a friendship than one between a ruler and her subjects.
Li Wei glanced at Alice before turning his attention back to the roasted Poisonous Scorpion Beast at in front of him.
He asked, "Do you know who he is?"
Alice shook her head. "No. When he ambushed , his identity was well-hidden."
"However, I wounded him. The Power of the Hundred Flowers God seeped into his body, and that Power has remained within him ever since.
He must be constantly searching for the Hundred Flowers God, hoping to eliminate that Power from his body."
"I see," Li Wei said, a look of understanding on his face.
’It seems Kira hasn’t just been searching for the Hundred Flowers God because he covets its Power. The Black Cultist must have demanded it as well.’
Alice said, "As long as I return to Flying Flower City, I’ll be able to sense the location of that Power."
Li Wei’s gaze swept over the group, finally settling on the bonfire before them.
"In that case, we only have one problem left: How do we get out of here?"
He looked up at Bella and Kristiman.
They would know the most about that.
