With a great roar, Kunan raised his Shield and charged the Demon Cave Spider.

The Charge was a Knight’s most basic Combat Skill, and also one of their most powerful.

However, its full power could only be unleashed when used with a mount.

Kunan had no mount, so he couldn’t unleash the full power of his Charge Combat Skill.

But it was more than enough to deal with the Demon Cave Spider.

Seeing the multiple enemies, the Demon Cave Spider’s first instinct was to raise its abdon, preparing to shoot its Magic Spider Web.

Lisa fired a quick shot, interrupting the Demon Cave Spider’s movent and preventing it from using its Skill.

The Demon Cave Spider dropped flat and burrowed into the ground. Lanya’s Great Sword slamd into the dirt, gouging out a crater.

Li Wei said quickly, "The Demon Cave Spider is to Kunan’s left!"

At his words, Lanya swept her sword horizontally.

CRACK! SQUELCH!

Several slender spider legs suddenly went flying through the air.

The Demon Cave Spider’s camouflage failed, revealing its true form.

It hadn’t actually burrowed into the ground; Demon Cave Spiders can’t tunnel. It had rely used its innate camouflage Magic to hide.

Li Wei had kept his eyes on the Demon Cave Spider. Since he already knew its abilities, he had seen through its camouflage instantly.

With the Demon Cave Spider injured, Lanya and Kunan pressed their advantage.

Lisa kept an arrow nocked, firing the mont she saw any sign that the Demon Cave Spider was about to use a Skill.

The party coordinated quite well.

Watching from the sidelines, Dias’s hands itched; several tis, he wanted to rush in and join the battle.

He wanted to be up there fighting, not guarding Li Wei.

A few minutes later, the Demon Cave Spider fell to Lanya’s sword.

"Phew! We finally killed it," Lanya said, letting out a long breath.

Kunan glanced at the corpse and said regretfully, "It’s too mangled. We won’t be able to take it back and sell it."

Lanya smiled and said, "Don’t worry about it. There’s nothing valuable on a Demon Cave Spider. The only thing worth anything is the Demon Core, but this spider’s Level is too low, and the chance of it producing a Demon Core is pitifully slim."

After they both lanted for a mont, Lanya broke off the Demon Cave Spider’s right fang as proof of the kill and walked back to the party.

Lanya looked at Li Wei and said, "Thank you for the warning, Mage Li Wei. Otherwise, I’m afraid we couldn’t have ended that battle so quickly."

Li Wei smiled. "Don’t ntion it."

The party rested for a while before moving on.

Li Wei was responsible for finding the Demon Cave Spiders hidden underground.

Before long, the party had killed three Demon Cave Spiders.

As they gained more experience fighting Demon Cave Spiders, Lanya and Kunan could now reliably pin them down. Lisa was also finally freed up to display the powerful ranged attack capabilities of a Divine Shooter.

An arrow shot out, striking the Demon Cave Spider in the head and piercing several of its compound eyes.

The Demon Cave Spider shrieked in pain.

Lanya seized the opportunity, slaying the injured Demon Cave Spider with a downward slash of her sword.

Looking at the dead Demon Cave Spider on the ground, Lanya wiped the green spider blood from her face and said with a smile, "That’s the fourth one."

Dias took out a bandage to wrap Kunan’s injured arm.

Kunan grimaced in pain and said, "Go easy!"

"It’s a good thing Mage Li Wei can pinpoint the Demon Cave Spiders’ locations every ti. Otherwise, these Demons would be a real pain to deal with!" Kunan exclaid.

After Dias finished the bandaging, he patted Kunan’s arm. "With your constitution, the wound should heal in a couple of days."

"You’re injured. How about I go up with the captain?" Dias suggested.

Hearing this, Kunan looked toward Lanya.

It wasn’t just because he was injured; he could see how eager Dias was to get in on the action.

Lanya considered for a mont, then nodded and said, "Alright. Kunan, you protect Mage Li Wei. Dias, you’ll take Kunan’s position and help pin down the Demon Cave Spiders."

Lisa pulled her arrows from the corpse, wiped them clean of blood, and returned them to her quiver.

"Alright, let’s keep moving!" Lanya shouted, full of energy.

Li Wei extended his senses for a mont and found a Demon Cave Spider not far off.

"This way."

The party advanced in the direction he pointed.

Before long, they ca upon a clearing in the woods.

Lisa nocked an arrow and shot it toward the center of the clearing.

PFFT!

HISSSSSS!

The Demon Cave Spider burst out of its trap and scrambled rapidly toward them.

Lanya was the first to charge forward, worried that Dias lacked combat experience.

CLANG! CLANG! CLANG!

The Demon Cave Spider’s legs clashed against the Great Sword, producing the sound of tal striking sothing hard.

Dias saw that Lanya was already engaged with the Demon Cave Spider.

Without a second thought, he raised his great blade and swung at the Demon Cave Spider, joining Lanya to attack it from both sides.

Lisa’s arrows always interrupted the Demon Cave Spider’s movents at just the right mont, averting disaster.

Kunan stood by Li Wei’s side, keeping a vigilant watch on their surroundings. Seeing Dias nearly get into trouble several tis, he couldn’t help but shout out warnings.

"To your left, your left! Be careful not to block the captain’s line of attack!"

"Down low! Watch out for it attacking your feet."

After a fierce battle, the trio had forced the Demon Cave Spider into a desperate situation.

The Demon Cave Spider retreated step by step, letting out a despairing shriek.

Without a second thought, she cleaved through the body of the Demon Cave Spider in front of her, not even having ti to collect its right fang.

Lanya shouted, "Quick, retreat!"

Dias reacted a beat too slow. Just as he was about to turn...

A Magic Spider Web fell from the air, entangling Dias and sticking him to the ground, unable to move.

His weapon also beca stuck to the Magic Spider Web.
