"Drink up! Drink up!"

Li Wei clinked glasses with rson, Gus, Jimmy, and the others.

rson was the president of the Xinghuo Literature Society.

The Xinghuo Literature Society wasn’t large. It had only three founders: rson, Gus, and Monis.

Monis had recently left Maple City.

Only rson and Gus were at the banquet, along with a few other employees from the Xinghuo Literature Society.

During the banquet, after chatting with them for a while, Li Wei finally learned why they were celebrating his birthday.

It turned out that after Gus had learned about Li Wei’s past, he knew the boy was an orphan, all alone in Maple City with no one to rely on.

Since no one ever celebrated his birthday, Gus had taken advantage of the lively welco banquet to throw him a birthday party at the sa ti.

Li Wei found the reason both funny and touching. A birthday party held simply out of convenience... well, he’d take it.

The birthday celebration officially marked Li Wei’s sixteenth year.

"Li Wei, you’re only sixteen! That’s incredible!"

A drunken Gus threw his arm around Li Wei’s shoulder and bellowed.

rson chuckled. "The youngest Apprentice Mage in the history of Maple City. Mage Li Wei’s future is boundless!"

"Perhaps Mage Li Wei should consider writing an autobiography."

At first, everyone had been in awe of the mysterious Mage.

But after learning how young he was, they beca much less formal around the Apprentice Mage.

After the birthday banquet, everyone went their separate ways.

Gus stood at the door, instructing Jimmy. "Make sure you see Li Wei safely back to the Mage Tower."

Jimmy puffed out his chest and promised, "Don’t worry, Director. I’ll make sure of it."

Li Wei quickly waved his hands. "There’s no need. I’m not drunk."

But he couldn’t dissuade Jimmy and Gus, so in the end, Jimmy walked him back to the Mage Tower.

"Alright, I’m here. You should head back."

"Of course, Mr. Li Wei. Goodbye."

Li Wei turned and watched Jimmy walk away.

A small smile touched his lips.

It was his first ti celebrating a birthday with strangers, but it had turned out surprisingly well.

Li Wei had never expected anyone to rember his birthday.

Even though it was a date he’d ntioned offhandedly, he still felt a warmth in his heart.

For the first ti, he felt a genuine warmth in this Otherworld.

’Director Gus is a truly good person!’

「In the following days.」

Li Wei holed up in his Mage Tower to focus on his Cultivation.

When he got tired of Cultivation, he would go to the library to read or browse the free trial content in the Magic Net Codex.

After als, he would set aside so ti to work on his manuscript.

At night, he would dutifully stay in the safe room, practicing his Magic and grinding away at the Invisibility Armor Spell.

Whenever he felt exhausted, he would use his dreamscape to create scenes for rest and relaxation.

Instead of exciting scenarios, Li Wei preferred to simply lie on a quiet beach, basking in the Sun and feeling the sea breeze.

His Shadow Attendant would bring him a nostalgic soda.

He would swirl the Crystal glass, listening to the clinking of ice and the fizz of bursting bubbles.

Downing the ice-cold soda in one gulp, Li Wei would instantly feel refreshed.

’Unfortunately, a dream is just an illusion in the end. A false sense of excitent.’

Li Wei stood up, tossed the glass aside, and with a wave of his hand, the bustling beach transford back into his study.

The beach-shorts-wearing Shadow Attendant also returned to its normal form.

His fatigue abated, Li Wei went back to grinding his Magic.

Before he knew it, the darkness and mist outside his window began to recede.

Li Wei knew dawn was approaching.

It was ti to wake up.

Suddenly, a jolt went through him as countless insights flooded his mind.

’An epiphany?’

’No, this was simply the natural result of my efforts.’

After his relentless grinding and Cultivation, the Invisibility Armor Spell had finally broken through to the Perfection Level.

[Invisible Armor Skill (Tier Zero Perfection)] 0/∞

Li Wei closed his eyes, absorbing the new insights in his mind.

At this point, his understanding of the Invisibility Armor Spell was complete, perhaps even surpassing that of its creator.

With his understanding of the Invisibility Armor Spell, Li Wei could now even create his own Magic.

Li Wei opened his eyes and held out his arm.

Mana constructed a Magic Model, Magic Elents filled it in, and a blue vambrace gradually took form on his arm.

This was a spell of his own creation.

Li Wei shook his head, dissipating the Mana from his arm.

’This can’t be considered creation. It’s rely a modification of the Invisibility Armor Spell.’

His theoretical knowledge was still lacking. He could only use a few Magic Circuits from the Invisibility Armor Spell to construct his own Magic.

’The Invisibility Armor Spell is already near-perfect for a Tier Zero Magic. Even if I deconstruct and reassemble it, it would be almost impossible to create a better Tier Zero spell than Invisible Armor.’

’Rather than do that, I’m better off trying to develop a High Tier version of the Invisibility Armor Spell.’

Having mastered the Invisibility Armor Spell to the Perfection Level, he now possessed the ability to do just that.

With a single thought, several paths to extend, expand, and strengthen the Invisibility Armor Spell’s Magic Model appeared in his mind.

After a mont’s thought, he decided to stick with the original creator’s philosophy for the Invisible Armor.

He would pursue a longer duration and stronger defense, while retaining the camouflage properties of the Invisible Armor.

Following his own understanding, Li Wei added a new function to the Invisible Armor: automatic defense.

It would remain hidden and activate automatically upon sensing danger.

He had wanted the Invisible Armor to have this function ever since he first obtained the Invisibility Armor Spell.

Now, he had finally made that dream a reality!

Now that the Invisible Armor possessed an automatic defense function, Li Wei no longer had to worry about too many layers affecting his movent.

A critical flaw, perfectly solved.

Li Wei focused his gaze, and several lines of text materialized on the wall.

[Crystal ditation thod (Tier One)] 369/10,000

[Small Fireball Technique (Tier Zero Great Success)] 3,322/8,000

[Fireball Skill (Tier One Mastery)] 434/2,000

[Invisible Armor Skill (Tier One Small Success)] 0/10,000

[Great Dream Traveling Skill (Tier Zero)] 9,450/10,000

[Shadow Touch Surgery (Tier One Entry Level)] 360/1,000

[Ice Arrow Skill (Tier Zero Mastery)] 389/2,000

[Rock Breathing thod (Entry Level)] 567/1,000

...

By developing the Invisibility Armor Spell to Tier One, it had gone from Tier Zero Perfection to Tier One Small Success.

Li Wei’s understanding of the Invisibility Armor Spell was so complete that he skipped the Entry Level and Master Level stages entirely.

The progression from Small Success to Great Success, and from Great Success to Perfection, would be part of the subsequent developnt and refinent of the Tier One Invisibility Armor Spell.

By continuously developing and perfecting the Magic Model, the power of the Invisibility Armor Spell would grow ever stronger.

Li Wei cast the Invisibility Armor Spell.

The Mana cost of the Tier One Invisibility Armor Spell was three tis that of the Tier Zero version.

And this wasn’t even the final version of the Invisibility Armor Spell.

Once developed to the Perfection Level, the Mana cost would be even more terrifying, which in turn ant even stronger defense.

After so testing, the Defense Power of the Tier One Invisible Armor was double that of the Tier Zero version.

This Defense Power was even stronger than a Tier One Magic Shield at the Master Level.

The number of stackable layers also increased with the number of Magic Circuits in the model, surpassing the stacking limit for Tier Zero Magic.

It reached nine layers!

Nine layers of the Tier One Invisible Armor were equivalent to eighteen layers of the Tier Zero Invisible Armor.

It could withstand at least three hits from a Tier Two Spell.

Even Li Wei was shocked by the terrifying Defense Power of the Tier One Invisibility Armor Spell.

’This is just insane!’

After a mont’s thought, he realized it wasn’t that the Invisibility Armor Spell itself was overpowered.

Rather, it was because his Extraordinary Trait, Mana Control, was perfectly suited to the Invisible Armor’s stacking property. The synergy between them created an effect where one plus one was far greater than two, making the Invisibility Armor Spell’s power seem completely broken.

Without Mana Control, even with its stacking ability, the Invisible Armor would at most reach the Tier One Limit, barely able to withstand a single attack from a Tier Two Spell.

The Mana Control Extraordinary Trait had massively increased the Invisible Armor’s potential.
