Li Wei saw Gu Ze and walked forward happily.

"Teacher Gu Ze, you’re back!"

Gu Ze smiled and said, "I’m back."

"A lot happened after you left. I’ll tell you all about it when we get back."

Li Wei glanced behind him. The Mage Tower had sent out more than twenty people, but only nineteen had returned.

Even two Tier One Official Mages were lost.

It was a truly devastating loss.

’It seems the war wasn’t as easy as Teacher Gu Ze made it sound,’ Li Wei thought. ’Otherwise, the casualties wouldn’t have been so high.’

When he communicated with Gu Ze through the Magic Net, Gu Ze always gave the impression that he was fine, everything was going smoothly, and there was no need to worry.

It made Li Wei think the war was actually going very well.

CLOP CLOP CLOP!

Li Wei looked over at the sound and, spotting a figure in the ranks, called out, "Reina."

Hearing her na, Reina said sothing to the person next to her and rode her horse over to him.

As she drew close, she dismounted.

CLANG!

Her heavy Armor made a loud noise as she landed.

Reina took off her helt, hung it on her saddle, and pulled out her long hair from inside her Armor to let it breathe.

"Li Wei, I heard you ca back early before the big battle. That’s a real sha. You missed a lot of chances to earn rit."

Li Wei smiled and said, "It’s fine. The battlefield probably isn’t the right place for anyway. I’m much more suited to holing up in the Mage Tower and doing Magic research."

He took a few extra monts to study Reina.

A little over a month of war had tempered Reina’s once carefree and brash nature, making her more steady without losing her frankness.

Reina nodded and said, "True. Different professions have different characteristics."

She looked at Li Wei and said with a smile, "Do you still rember our promised duel?"

Li Wei said, "Of course, I rember."

Reina said, "I hope we’ll still have a chance in the future."

"Just think of it as a goal to strive for!"

Before Li Wei could reply, Reina said, "I have to go. There’s a lot waiting for to handle. See you next ti."

Swinging back onto her warhorse, Reina rejoined the ranks.

Li Wei watched Reina’s retreating back, a puzzled look on his face.

Gu Ze patted his shoulder, sighed, and said, "Don’t take it too hard. Her talent is just too incredible!"

"In just one month, she broke through from Tier One Peak to Tier Two Middle Level, advancing two full levels in a row."

Even Gu Ze couldn’t help but feel amazed and envious.

Hearing this, Li Wei was a little surprised, but not shocked.

War is a catalyst for a War Knight’s power.

Reina’s rapid improvent wasn’t all that surprising.

If there are no more wars, Reina’s leveling speed will slow down.

However, Li Wei felt that there would likely be no shortage of wars to co.

The Macher Kingdom failed to react in ti to stop Otz this ti, but they would certainly find ways to interfere with, obstruct, and weaken him in the future.

The simplest thod would undoubtedly be to wage war.

If Otz wanted to successfully establish his Kingdom and conquer the three remaining powerful cities, war would also be unavoidable.

This was perhaps the outco Orn wanted.

War was a catalyst for a War Knight’s power; it worked for Reina, and it also worked for Orn.

’Her power is growing so fast!’ Li Wei mused.

As for what Reina said about using her as a goal for his Cultivation, Li Wei simply listened without taking it to heart.

’Tier Two Middle Level? Is that really so strong?’

’For the current , she’s not unbeatable.’

’In terms of Level, he was indeed inferior to Reina. But in terms of true combat power? Not necessarily!’

"Master Rota."

Li Wei called out upon seeing a familiar face.

Rota nodded, a pleased expression on his face. He asked, "I heard you’re the one who ca up with the Elent Feeding thod?"

Li Wei nodded. "Master Rota, why do you ask?"

He smiled and patted Li Wei’s shoulder.

Li Wei shrugged. ’Why does everyone love patting shoulders?’

Rota said kindly, "Thanks to your Elent Feeding thod, I’ve also broken through to Tier One."

When he heard him ask about the Elent Feeding thod, Li Wei had already braced himself, so he wasn’t too surprised.

Still, he feigned a hint of pleasant surprise.

"Really? Then congratulations, Master Rota."

Rota looked at Li Wei, the corners of his mouth turning up slightly in a knowing smile.

He said in a low voice, "You’ve broken through to Tier One too, haven’t you?"

Li Wei was taken aback for a mont, but after a little thought, he understood why.

’That’s right. If I created the Elent Feeding thod, how could I not have broken through myself?’

He glanced at Gu Ze, then at Rota, and asked, "Besides you two, who else knows?"

Gu Ze shook his head and said, "No one. I just ntioned the theory you told to Master Rota once, and he figured it out on his own."

Rota smiled and said, "After I figured it out, I tricked Gu Ze into admitting you were the one who told him about the Elent Feeding thod. Don’t bla him for exposing you."

Li Wei shook his head. "I won’t bla my teacher."

Hearing this, Gu Ze breathed a sigh of relief inwardly.

Before this, he had been wondering the whole way back how to explain this matter to Li Wei.

He hadn’t exposed Li Wei on purpose.

He never expected that Rota would be able to grasp it just from a casual ntion, let alone trick him into revealing the theory ca from Li Wei.

Rota looked at Li Wei and said, "I can understand why you’d want to hide your strength. I won’t go blabbing about this either."

"Did you receive an inheritance from so High Tier Mage?" Rota asked tentatively.

He didn’t believe that Li Wei had created the Elent Feeding thod himself.

Although the theory ca from him, he certainly couldn’t have been the one to think it up.

How could an Apprentice Mage possibly know a Magic secret that even Grand Mages were unaware of?

Li Wei must have obtained the inheritance of so High Tier Mage to know such a Magic secret.

Hearing Rota’s words, Li Wei’s mouth twitched. ’You’re really good at guessing!’

’But this also gives a convenient excuse for everything.’

Li Wei said, "Yes. I received an inheritance from a mysterious Mage. He didn’t tell his na, but every so often he gives so Magic Knowledge and tells to cultivate on my own. He said that after I beco a Grand Mage, I should go find him at a certain place, and only then will he accept as a formal disciple."

Hearing this, Rota had an "I knew it" expression on his face.

Gu Ze looked at Li Wei, his face a mask of astonishnt, as if to say, "How co I didn’t know about this?"

Rota nodded and said, "Your master might be an Ancient Mage. Ancient Mages were particularly fond of this hands-off way of raising disciples."

Li Wei broke into a sweat. "Ah, right, right, right."

’Whatever you say.’

’I don’t even want to think about it anymore.’

After expressing his gratitude to Li Wei, Rota swore he would absolutely not reveal the secret.

Li Wei could only shake his head helplessly at this.

’Fine, as long as you’re happy,’ he complained inwardly.

The three of them returned to the Mage Tower together.

After Rota left, Gu Ze finally asked about the matter.

"Do you really have a mysterious master?" Gu Ze asked doubtfully.

He had a feeling he didn’t.

Otherwise, Li Wei wouldn’t have co to him knowing so little.

Li Wei said, "Teacher, just act as if I do."

Gu Ze nodded thoughtfully.

He looked at Li Wei and said, "Looking at it now, maybe your talent isn’t any weaker than Reina’s."

"Keep it up!"

Gu Ze’s sudden encouragent left Li Wei feeling utterly baffled.

He watched Gu Ze’s back as he returned to his room.

’Did my teacher misunderstand sothing?’
