Each pane broadcasted real-ti footage from the distant planet: a desolate surface of yellow sand and jagged rock formations, a swamp filled with corrosive acid rain, a dark, damp cavern carpeted with fungi...
The million examinees had been randomly deployed to every corner of the planet.
Their figures, and the environnts around them, were displayed with perfect clarity on the massive screen for the ntors to observe at their leisure.
The atmosphere here was a stark contrast to the tense, somber mood of the plaza below.
The ntors, with varied expressions, chatted and laughed as if what was about to unfold wasn’t a brutal assessnt determining the fates of a million prodigies, but rely an amusing reality show to pass the ti.
"Another year, another assessnt. I wonder if we’ll see any promising candidates who really stand out this ti."
A female ntor with long, fiery-red hair and a forthright personality picked up a glass of so unknown, starlit nectar and said with a light laugh.
"I hope we get a few more with a high aptitude for combat arts."
Another ntor, an unkempt-looking old man with a massive wine gourd at his waist, spoke lazily. "My self-created Drunken Star River Swordsmanship is on the verge of being lost. If I can’t find a suitable successor soon, I’m going to end up taking it to my grave."

The ntors continued to converse, the atmosphere relaxed and harmonious.

He wasn’t pontificating like the others, but simply listened to their conversation with a quiet smile, occasionally chiming in with a brief comnt.
He was genuinely well-liked, carrying none of the airs of a Star System-level Powerhouse and getting along with the stellar-level ntors around him as if they were friends.
However, just as the ntors were in the middle of their lively discussion.
An indescribable, terrifying, and supre aura—one that transcended the very level of existence of everyone present—descended without warning!
