Ki Gayoon would be the strongest Hunter in Korea if only he could stop himself from going insane.

But what could he do?

I hate Guides.

Gayoon awakened as an S-Class Hunter on the very day the 'Doomsday' happened.

He was only fifteen years old back then.

Only two years after using his abilities to raid and clear dungeons, it happened to him— a phenonon where he almost lost his mind after reaching past his limits.

It wasn't just him.

Every single high-ranking and combatant Espers experienced the sa thing.

'Rampage.'

That was the simple yet frightening term that the "experts" used to describe the phenonon.

Around the ti Espers all over the world started going crazy, they erged.

Guides.

A new kind of Awakened People appeared.

Guides didn't have the power to fight monsters— but they were blessed with the ability to purify the 'Madness' in Espers.

Well, that was how it was supposed to be.

Gayoon couldn't relate, though.

Every single Guide who tried to guide him in the past only brought him pain instead of relief.

Yes— every. Single. One.

During every Guiding Session, Gayoon would feel like his skin was being pricked by hundreds of sharp needles.

Not even high-class Guides could give him a pleasant Guiding Session.

Everything was just painful— and he already made that clear several tis.

That was why Gayoon couldn't understand why the governnt kept sending Guides his way.

He could control his Rampage better if he wasn't pissed.

And yet those stupid higher-ups wouldn't leave him alone.

Now they even sent two Guides.

Hah!

Gayoon smirked bitterly when the unfamiliar Guide suddenly threw himself at him.

Haaah.

He just let the unfamiliar Guide crash into his chest— while cursing under his breath even though it was Gayoon who should be cursing— since the punk would die soon anyway.

Let's go insane and kill them all.

He closed his eyes, allowing himself to let loose this ti instead of controlling his Rampage.

Then he felt it.

His unstable Mana quickly gathered in his Core— aka the Mana 'storage' embedded in his heart— threatening to explode.

Once my Core gets shattered, it's over.

Gayoon was already prepared to kill even his "brothers" in the entire building.

I'll see you all in hell, everyone.

He should have felt like he was drowning by this ti.

That was how he felt every ti he was on the verge of a Rampage, after all.

Anyti now.

Yeah, he should be going crazy by this ti.

Right?

In three, two, one...

Hmm?

His trains of thought were interrupted when he realized that his Rampage was taking too long to snap his sanity.

Then Gayoon belatedly realized it: his mind was still clear.

What the fuck?

"Esper Ki Gayoon-ssi, our Guiding Session is over."

Gayoon opened his eyes, shocked and bewildered.

But the scene that greeted him just confused him even more.

The unfamiliar Guide with light brown hair was holding Gayoon's left pinky finger with his thumb and index finger.

This punk is acting like he's picking up trash...!

Yes, the unfamiliar brunette Guide was holding Gayoon's finger as if he was holding a bag of dog poop.

Worse, the unfamiliar Guide even had a disgusted look on his face.

I should be the one acting disgusted here... wait, what?

Gayoon belatedly realized that the unfamiliar Guide was holding his finger...

... and it didn't hurt.

Usually, when a Guide so much as lightly touched him, he would feel like he was being stabbed.

It was followed by the disgusting feeling of having physical contact with a Guide.

But none of that happened.

"What did you do to , you little shit?"

"Is "little shit" the only curse word you know, Esper Gayoon-ssi?"

Wow.

Gayoon was appalled. "Did you just talk back to , you little shi— fucker?"

"Oh, your vocabulary improved, Esper Gayoon-ssi," the unfamiliar Guide said while clapping with a poker face on. "Amazing."

This little shi— fucker was really getting on his nerves.

But...

It feels empty.

Gayoon looked down at his hand— no, at his finger that the obnoxious Guide held while Guiding him earlier.

For the first ti in a long while, I feel refreshed.

And then it was followed by a feeling that he thought he had already forgotten: the yearning for soone else's touch...

No, fuck it.

Gayoon survived without a Guide for so long.

Why would he need one now?

His thoughts were once again interrupted when he heard the sound of a glass breaking.

When Gayoon raised his head, he saw a stealthy Esper clad in black carrying the now unconscious Ho Jungwon in his arms.

He didn't notice that Ho Jungwon fainted.

Heck, he didn't even feel another intruder coming.

But that wasn't important at the mont.

Gayoon was livid when he realized that the two were about to escape.

As if I'd let that pervert slip away...!

He was about to chase the Esper who was trying to get Ho Jungwon out of there, but he got distracted when the unfamiliar (and obnoxious) Guide suddenly stumbled.

"Hey!"

Gayoon reflexively grabbed the unfamiliar Guide by the arm.

Hmm?

Ho Jungwon and his "savior" had already escaped, but Gayoon didn't have the motivation to chase after the two.

After all, he was more curious about the unfamiliar Guide.

Once again, he didn't feel any pain or disgust upon their physical contact.

In fact, Gayoon felt his energy being renewed while holding the unfamiliar Guide's arm.

It felt good, but he hated the source of that pleasure.

"Just what are you, punk?"

"Does it matter?" the unfamiliar Guide, who suddenly looked pale, asked weakly while pressing his temple with his free hand. "We have to report Guide Bambi for sexually assaulting you. I'll stand as your witness if you need to, Esper Ki Gayoon."

Gayoon scoffed. "Why would I report it? I'm not a snitch."

"What Guide Bambi did to you was wrong and immoral. So, what does it have to do with being a snitch? You're a victim, and you deserve justice. That's not snitching, sir."

"..."

Is he for real?

"Of course, I won't force you to do it if you're scared," the unfamiliar Guide said, his voice softer this ti. "You can ask to stand as your witness anyti, Esper Ki Gayoon-ssi."

Ah, he's serious.

Gayoon wanted to scoff at the unfamiliar Guide to get rid of the warm feeling enveloping his chest.

But, just when he was about to savor the mont, the punk suddenly fainted.

"Hey!"

Gayoon quickly pulled the unfamiliar Guide towards him— forcing him to wrap his arms around his limp body so he wouldn't hit the floor.

The punk might die if that happened.

Guides are weak as fuck, after all.

Gayoon expected to finally feel disgusted towards the unfamiliar Guide now that he was practically hugging the punk.

But that didn't happen.

In fact, he felt sothing else.

Why does this little shi— fucker sll good?

So good that Gayoon actually felt intoxicated by his scent.

And then it happened— he got an erection.

Unbelievable.

Gayoon cursed under his breath. "I got hard because of this little shit?!"
