WHEN Ryu Sungbin opened his eyes, he found himself in a white room.
It was the room in the dungeon that was the exact replica of the forr Lab.
And this is where those bastards bring us whenever we get sober, just so they can brainwash us again.
"You woke up just in ti, Ryu Sungbin."
Tsk.
The first thing that greeted Ryu Sungbin was Song Heejin.
Of course, the old witch was still using the body of a young woman.
He wanted to curse at Song Heejin, but he stopped when he saw Lee Sarang lying down on the bed next to him.
Sarang-ah...!
He got worried because he saw Bambi holding Lee Sarang’s hand.
Is that bastard going to guide and brainwash Sarang?
Ryu Sungbin tried to get up, but the fake Matthew— who suddenly appeared behind him— grabbed him by the shoulder.
"Just watch and enjoy the show, Ryu Sungbin," the fake Matthew— no, Charles Kang— said while squeezing Ryu Sungbin’s shoulder. "You’re the reason why we got a hold of Noh Yuno’s precious Mana, after all."
Ryu Sungbin knitted his brows, confused. "I don’t rember doing that."
"You sent Lee Sarang to Noh Yuno on purpose," Bambi said, lifting his head to shoot Ryu Sungbin a cold glare. "That’s how Lee Sarang beca sober for a mont."
Tsk.
My plan was already busted?
"Thank you, Sungbin Hyung."
"What?"
"We can’t get a hold of Noh Yuno’s Mana because he only guides Gayoon Hyung," Bambi explained. "But, thanks to your little plan, we now have an updated version of Noh Yuno’s Mana."
"Noh Yihun’s Mana, the one stored in our old database, was taken when he just awakened. So, it’s pretty much outdated," the fake Matthew added. "After all, a Guide’s Mana changes when they et their fated Esper. Now that Noh Yihun has found Ki Gayoon, I want to see just how much his Mana has changed. So, thank you for this opportunity, Ryu Sungbin."
Ryu Sungbin was gutted.
Did I make a grave mistake?
"Hyung, you haven’t seen my real power yet, have you?" Bambi asked, clearly not expecting a response from him. "Let show you how I was able to guide you all this ti as if I were Moon Noa."
What?
Well, co to think of it, Ryu Sungbin had a high compatibility rate with Bambi.
Moreover, he never once rejected the Guide’s guiding.
He couldn’t.
Because Bambi’s Mana is very similar to Noa Hyung’s...
"We’ll show you how we’re going to steal Noh Yuno’s Mana," Bambi said, smiling widely while having a crazy look in his eyes. "It will only be a matter of ti before Gayoon Hyung falls for ."
Ryu Sungbin could only gulp while watching Bambi ’operate’ on the unconscious Lee Sarang.
This is the first ti I’ve seen him use that skill...
Bambi was holding a pretty big and thick needle covered in a pink light.
The Guide then poked Lee Sarang’s chest with the strange needle.
And the Ice Queen was really unconscious because she didn’t even flinch.
A mont later, Bambi pulled the needle out of Lee Sarang’s chest.
Is that a... thread?
No, it was actually a thread of pure white Mana.
Is that Noh Yuno’s Mana?
"Beautiful," the fake Matthew whispered, his eyes turning frenzied while staring at the pure white ’thread.’ "As expected, Noh Yuno’s Mana is really the Mana of the perfect Guide. A masterpiece, indeed..."
Then the fake Matthew continued muttering to himself about how beautiful and pure Noh Yuno’s Mana was.
Ryu Sungbin just ignored the fake because he was focused on what Bambi did next.
The Guide pulled out a handheld transparent mirror from his Inventory.
Of course, that wasn’t an ordinary mirror.
It’s definitely an Item.
Bambi poked the middle of the mirror with the needle, causing it to pass through the mirror along with the thread.
But only the needle made it to the other side.
The pure white thread was left inside the mirror, swirling inside— making it look like there was a mini wave happening.
And, the more the pure white thread swirled inside, the more it changed its color.
It was no longer pure white after a few turns.
The thread was now half white and half pink, like a gradient color.
Leave it to Bambi to make sothing beautiful suddenly ugly.
To be fair, it wasn’t really ugly.
I’m just saying that Bambi is good at corrupting pure things.
"Now it’s done," Bambi said, smiling proudly. Then he looked at Ryu Sungbin and laughed. "This is all thanks to you, Sungbin Hyung. The amount of Noh Yuno’s Mana that I collected from Lee Sarang’s body isn’t enough to completely control Gayoon Hyung as I do you, but this should be enough for to copy his Mana. Once I get a hold of Noh Yuno, I’ll absorb all of his Mana— including his skills, too."
Ryu Sungbin only scoffed.
You’re not touching a strand of Noh Yuno’s hair as long as Ki Gayoon is alive.
Of course, he didn’t say that out loud.
I would have provoked him if I were alone. But Lee Sarang is here, and she’s unconscious. I need to be careful for her sake.
Hence, he changed the subject.
"How are you going to copy Noh Yuno’s Mana using that stupid Item?"
"Oh, should I show you?"
Bambi then looked at the fake Matthew as if asking for his permission.
"That should be fine," the fake Matthew said. "It’s not like Ryu Sungbin could do anything about it even if he found out about our secret weapon."
"Right?"
Ryu Sungbin was glad that these monsters were underestimating him.
I need to gather as many pieces of information I can get while I’m sober.
"Watch carefully, Sungbin Hyung."
Ryu Sungbin did...
... and he was disgusted.
Bambi opened his mouth wide— so wide that a normal human couldn’t do that.
Then he put the handheld mirror right in front of his face.
The half pink-half white thread inside the mirror swirled once again until it passed through the glass.
And then the thread went straight inside Bambi’s mouth.
Oh.
Bambi swallowed the thread of Mana that entered his mouth, even letting out a burp. "Wow. Noh Yuno’s Mana tastes great. No wonder high-class Espers are getting healed with his guiding. His Mana seems to be purifying from the inside."
Ryu Sungbin confird once again what he already knew.
This monster needs to die.
