Moon Noa found it funny when a handkerchief materialized out of nowhere and "slapped" Haru in the face.

It’s definitely Yoonyoon’s work.

"Gayoon-san is so an," Haru complained lightly while removing the handkerchief from his face. And then his gaze went past Moon Noa. "Noa-san, I think I’m about to get jealous."

When Moon Noa turned around, he saw Bambi and Ryu Sungbin walking towards him.

Aha.

"Guide Moon Noa-ssi, we need to talk," Bambi said calmly. "Guide Noh Yuno-ssi, too."

"You’re saying you want to use my kid’s ability as an E-Class Guide to solve this case, right?" Moon Noa asked, smiling. "I’m not sure if I can allow that."

"We’re not asking for your permission," Ryu Sungbin said. His tone was calm, but his words were a bit hostile. "Noh Yuno is now a part of the Top 5. He’s obligated to lend his strength to the Bureau if he has to."

"Wrong," Moon Noa said. "Yuyu is only obligated to guide Yoonyoon. We need his permission to do other things. You can’t force him to do what he doesn’t want to. And if you insist..."

"Japan will welco Noa-san and Yuno-kun with open arms," Haru said cheerfully. "I’ll be grateful if you continue being hostile to them until they’re forced to leave your country."

Moon Noa elbowed Haru’s side a little too hard.

Ryu Sungbin opened his mouth to talk back to Haru, but Bambi raised his hand.

We look like pet owners preventing our dogs from fighting.

"Noa-ssi, I’m not here to pick a fight. Not this ti, at least," Bambi said calmly. "I know we don’t trust each other, but I believe we need to work together if we want to catch the serial killer. We need Guide Noh Yuno-ssi’s ability."

Moon Noa raised an eyebrow. "I didn’t expect you to be this affected of Guide Choi Kangmin-ssi’s death."

"I know you don’t see as a good person, and I won’t pretend that I am," Bambi admitted. "However, I take my job seriously as the National Guide Bureau’s ace. I will never forgive anyone who sses with the Guides in Korea."

Aren’t you the one who’s ssing with the Guides of our country, Bambam?

That was what Moon Noa wanted to say, but he kept his mouth shut because it wasn’t the right ti to pick a fight.

"Admittedly, there’s an internal conflict within the Guides of Korea," Bambi said as if he could read Moon Noa’s mind at the mont. "However, I believe that if an outside force tries to ss with us, we must stick to each other and fight together."

To be honest, Moon Noa had the sa belief.

He just wanted to make sure about one thing.

"Will you ensure Yuyu’s safety while we’re working together?"

"Yes— we will set aside our personal feelings in the anti."

"Bambam, you know I can’t trust your words alone, right?"

"Yes, I already expect you to say that," Bambi said while nodding. "So, let’s make an Oath." He then extended his hand to Moon Noa. "Until the serial killer is caught, we will treat each other as allies."

"That sounds like a good deal to ," Moon Noa said, accepting Bambi’s handshake. "I’m looking forward to working with you, Bambam."

"Likewise, Guide Moon Noa-ssi."

"WE’VE confird that Guide Choi Kangmin was murdered."

Yuno wasn’t surprised to hear that.

In fact, no one in that conference room was shocked since they already knew Choi Kangmin was murdered.

Guide Bambi-ssi just announced it officially.

Right now, for the first ti, the new Top 5 Espers and their Exclusive Guides gathered for an official mission. The Guides sat on the left side of the long table while the Espers sat on the right side, each pair sitting across from each other.

Ah, there was one who didn’t have a partner.

It was Moon Noa— and he occupied the center seat at the back.

Sajangnim looks like a boss overseeing his subordinate’s report.

The "subordinate" would be Bambi who was standing in the front while, well, reporting important stuff related to Choi Kangmin’s murder.

Anyways...

Why is it so freaking cold here?

Yuno glared at the huge AC.

Since he didn’t have the guts to request to turn it down, and he couldn’t find the control either, he just glared at it.

Yuno was in a bad mood...

... until soone draped a jacket over his shoulders.

Yuno turned to Ki Gayoon— who removed his jacket to give it to him using his telekinesis power— and was about to thank him.

But he lost the chance when Bambi spoke again.

"All the CCTV footages in the fitness center were destroyed because of Esper Yang Youngjae’s Rampage," Bambi continued with his report. "But we recovered the CCTV footage of the establishnts that weren’t hit badly. One cara captured a video of what seed like a man doing strange sign language. We suspect that he’s the culprit."

What?

Yuno imdiately focused on Bambi again.

"We asked several sign language experts to decipher what the man was trying to say, but all of them could."

Sign language?

Hearing that made Yuno nervous.

My gut feeling is rarely wrong, so...

"Team Leader, can we see the video?" Yuno asked awkwardly. "While I was in the Lab, the Researchers who "raised" us taught us a sign language that only we could understand."

He was referring to his fellow E-Class Guides, of course.

"I have the video here," Bambi said, and then he put a USB in the laptop. A few monts later, a video played on the projector. "Here you go."

The video quality was low.

But they could see what seed like a man standing under a lamppost.

The person’s face was hidden because he was wearing a cap and a hoodie.

After staying still under the lamppost for a few monts, the suspect looked up as if he knew there was a cara there.

That was when the culprit started making strange signs with his hands.

None of the people in the room seed to understand what the (possible) serial killer was saying, except for one.

Yuno clenched his hands and spoke through greeted teeth, translating what the culprit was saying to the people in the room. ""I killed the wrong person. Nobody told Korea has a new line of Top 5 Guides now. Please tell Esper Yang Youngjae I’m sorry.""

The culprit’s tone wasn’t "sorry" at all.

But Yuno didn’t have to point that out because everyone could tell— the room suddenly turned cold, and the heavy aura was coming from the Guides and not the Espers.

That bastard left that ssage on purpose.

It’s confird— the serial killer is an E-Class Guide, indeed.
