Shao Xia, who was following Xie Daiyu, had no idea that Chief Xie was determined to make things difficult for her and her family. At the mont, she was chasing after Xie Daiyu and with her quick feet, she was able to catch the r within a few strides. She ca to a stop in front of Xie Daiyu, who frowned when he saw her blocking him.
"What are you doing?" he asked. His tone was no longer jolly, and he even felt a bit annoyed seeing the one face that Xie Daiyu didn’t want to see at all.
He was in a hurry to see Ruan Chanchan, and getting blocked by Shao Xia ruined his mood.
How could Shao Xia not notice that Xie Daiyu was not willing to talk with her? Her mood turned even more sullen. She spoke to Xie Daiyu with so anger, "Daiyu, is it true? Are you getting close to soone like Ruan Chanchan?" She originally wanted to ask Xie Daiyu if he was chasing after Ruan Chanchan, but then she couldn’t bring herself to say those words. If she said those words out loud, what would she be reduced to?
She chased after Xie Daiyu first, but now the r was chasing after Ruan Chanchan—this was simply unacceptable. What was more, she never wanted to let go of Xie Daiyu. After all, the two of them spent countless years together before Xie Daiyu was killed by a beast. How could she not have any affection for him? It was Xie Daiyu’s fault that he was too stubborn.

After speaking, he tried to walk past Shao Xia but when she saw that the r was walking away without paying attention to her, Shao Xia panicked. She turned around on her feet and then caught Xie Daiyu’s wrist. She said to him, "Xie Daiyu, there is no need for you to act stubborn. I know that you are upset with , but why get involved with Ruan Chanchan? She was still speaking when the r twisted around on his feet, caught her by her arm, and threw her over his shoulder. His expression was colder than the snow in winter, and he was glaring at her like she had killed his father.

Xie Daiyu lowered his head and looked at his feet that were on top of Shao Xia, and then slowly raised his head and looked up at Ruan Chanchan, who was staring at him, with a terrified expression.
