Ruan Chanchan was very satisfied with the harvest. When she stood up, she could feel her back hurting and almost staggered. Her head tilted back slightly and she looked up at the darkening sky that was getting darker by the minute. It seed like she needed to return ho soon or else Ruan Zeqiu would end up getting worried about her.
"I will co here tomorrow," muttered Ruan Chanchan as she wiped the sweat off her forehead and walked down the trail. Now she was a bit more confident in her own abilities. If she was really kicked out of the tribe, then she could take Ruan Zeqiu with her and wouldn’t have to worry about getting starved to death.
It took her more than three minutes to return to the cave. Ruan Chanchan had just placed down the wicker basket that she had brought along with her when soone ca to look for her.
"Chanchan?"
Ruan Chanchan turned to look at the r who ca to look for her.
"What do you want, Yuan Ni?" Ruan Chanchan frowned when she saw who it was. The last ti she t with Yuan Ni, the r had given such a look that it made her wonder if she had turned the graves of his ancestors upside down. And if she didn’t know better, she would have really believed it as well.
Yuan Ni noticed the frown on Ruan Chanchan’s face and pursed his lips. Does she thinks that I want to co here? If not for my grandmother asking to co here and call her, I wouldn’t have stepped in this rotten cave. Yuan Ni thought angrily. However, he recalled the warning that his grandmother gave to him and could only say sullenly, "My grandmother asked to co here. She wants to talk about sothing with you."
When Ruan Chanchan heard that Priestess Yuan wanted to talk with her, she nodded. Covering the mushrooms that she had brought with her with the hides, she turned around on her feet and walked out of the cave. Yuan Ni saw her actions and wanted to see what was going on and what she had brought with her but Ruan Chanchan covered the mushrooms with the hides before he could even take a look at the wicker basket.
Yuan Ni pouted when he saw the sneaky actions of Ruan Chanchan.
What is she even trying to hide? It’s not like she could have gone out to hunt a beast. What is she even hiding? Yuan Ni was rather contemptuous toward Ruan Chanchan and didn’t believe that there was anything good in her hands. Sothing that Ruan Chanchan also noticed but she didn’t say anything; instead, she simply glanced at the r who was staring at her with contempt and then walked past him.
She didn’t need him to lead her to his cave.
When Yuan Ni saw Ruan Chanchan ignoring him, his expression couldn’t help but turn black. He glared at the woman who had ignored him and snorted. "Who does she think she is? Does she think that by ignoring like this...she can make attracted to her? Humph, as if!" though he said that, Yuan Ni couldn’t help but take a few more glances at Ruan Chanchan, who seed to have gotten prettier and prettier with each day.
She had beco so pretty that even Shao Xia had started to dim in front of her.

"What am I thinking?" Yuan Ni slapped himself on the face. Both of his cheeks turned red as he muttered furiously. "How can I even think that this woman is anything good? And that too, better than Shao Xia? Am I losing my mind or what?"

There must be sothing wrong about this entire situation. Thus, he didn’t even bother to question his own feelings and believed that it was Ruan Chanchan who had cast a spell on him to make herself look more attractive.
If Ruan Chanchan knew what this idiotic r was thinking, she would be so angry, she would have coughed out ten liters of blood. She was only sixteen or seventeen years old in this body. How could she be bothered to have fun with the opposite gender?
"Priestess Yuan, did you call for ?" Ruan Chanchan arrived at the Yuan family’s cave and peered inside. When she saw Priestess Yuan sitting on the ground cross legged, she wondered if the old woman had started ditating. But then the old woman opened her eyes and looked at her with a smile on her lips. "Oh, Ruan Chanchan you are here. I was waiting for you." She then peered behind Ruan Chanchan and when she didn’t see her grandson she couldn’t help but sneer. This grandson of hers was really good.
He knew how to cause trouble for her. Forget it, if he didn’t respect the opportunities that she was making for him, then Priestess Yuan was not going to bother with him either. Did he think that she was just doing this for fun?
Ruan Chanchan was destined to beco his destined one. Sooner or later Yuan Ni was going to realise it and when that happened, her grandson would regret it so badly that his intestines would turn green with regret.
However, Priestess Yuan could only bring the beast to the river, and she couldn’t force him to drink water if he didn’t want to. Could she?
