Priestess Yuan smiled. "It’s not that they are really powerful, but their population is bigger than ours, and the number of totem warriors is naturally higher. What’s more, they are really good at hunting, so their tribe has a lot of connections and alliances with other tribes, which is kind of a setback for us." Her eyes turned red when she thought of all the children who were killed by the mbers of that tribe. She hated the Black Snake Tribe so much that Priestess Yuan dread of killing the head of that tribe even in her dreams.
Their ancestral lands were what they had received from their ancestors, and it was taken away by those people! She wondered if those black-hearted snakes left their ancestral graves alone or did sothing to them as well. If they dared to touch that piece of land, then she would fight with them to the death! They could humiliate them, but she would never allow anyone to touch the graves of their ancestors.
"Alliances?" Ruan Chanchan echoed. She understood the aning, but at the sa ti, she didn’t quite understand what Priestess Yuan ant by an alliance.
"When two tribes reach an agreent, they would make an oath." Priestess Yuan explained the matter of the alliances to Ruan Chanchan. "This oath is like a formal contract. Once the two tribes make an oath, they cannot break it. They will have to follow through with it till the end." She sighed and added, "Chief Xie didn’t make an oath with the Frog Tribe, which allowed them to betray us. Usually, the first step to trading with other tribes is to make an oath." She paused and added, "You should also keep that in mind."
When Ruan Chanchan heard the words of Priestess Yuan, she understood that the woman might have heard sothing from Xie Daiyu; thus, the warning. She nodded at once, as she had no intention of causing trouble for herself. But this matter of alliances gave her a new idea. Since she wanted to grab the ancestral lands from the Black Snake Tribe, she needed a lot of alliances. Then she might as well make a lot of tribes join hands with her. If she had a bunch of beastn following her, she wondered if she still needed to fear the Black Snake Tribe, much less the elders of the tribe.
"Priestess Yuan, thank you for letting know about these key points," said Ruan Chanchan as the cogs in her head started to turn. She needed to co up with a proper trade plan before she could regain control of the ancestral lands.
Priestess Yuan nodded. She could see that there was sothing going on in Ruan Chanchan’s head, and after a short pause, she said to her, "There is another way other than having an alliance with a powerful tribe."
"What is it?"

"You are still young," said Priestess Yuan with a smile on her lips. "You should settle down with a r and give birth to more children. I suppose you and Xie Daiyu are getting close with one another, right? He is a really good option. Not only is he strong and handso, but he is also the leader of the tribe. Having him as your mate will give you a lot of benefits."

"Why will I be scared of them?" Ruan Chanchan asked almost reflexively.
"Hahahah..." Priestess Yuan let out a hearty laugh and kindly said, "It seems like the Beast Goddess hasn’t abandoned us yet."
She got the answer that she wanted from Ruan Chanchan, and that alone was enough to ease the worries in her heart.
"Don’t worry, Priestess Yuan. I will work hard and make sure that I make this world—I an, I will take the ancestral land of our tribe back from the Black Snake Tribe." In her hurry, she almost shouted out the slogan that Mo Qiang created for her own world.
Priestess Yuan nodded. "I know. You will."
She could almost see the golden glow around the woman in front of her and knew that she was destined for sothing bigger in the future.

In another dinsion, the sound of a crisp slap echoed in a dark room. Lin Zhi raised her hand and touched the cheek that had been slapped, and looked at the man who had slapped her. "You for the sake of that whore —you slapped ?"
