"Then this must be done by Ruan Chanchan," one of the elders touched the back of her head and looked at Ruan Chanchan with a hint of coldness. "I did hear that Yuan Ni and Ruan Chanchan had so friction between one another; surely, with the power in her hands, she must have taken her anger out on Yuan Ni. Maybe we should take the responsibility of teaching and checking the mushrooms away from her and give it to soone else. That way, we don’t have to worry about making her angry, or else she would poison us to death."
She knew that she couldn’t say that all mushrooms were poisonous because she had eaten a bunch of them
After she finished speaking, Elder Lin looked at Ruan Chanchan as if she were waiting for the woman to contradict her.

"Step away," Ruan Chanchan sighed. She didn’t have the ti to bother with these people. They were filled with cold calculations and didn’t care about the life and death of this poor r. They could ignore Yuan Ni’s condition, but she couldn’t. Even if the r was not in this situation because of her and wanted to use his death to harm her, she still didn’t want to watch him die. "And what do you think you are doing?" Nan Zhi ca running with Nan Wu when he heard what was happening outside. He was not as strong but his sister was, and when Nan Wu ca to a stop next to Ruan Chanchan, even if Shao Xia wanted to attack Ruan Chanchan, she had to take a step back.
Nan Zhi glared at Shao Xia. He then turned to look at the elders who wanted to take the job of teaching others from Ruan Chanchan and said to her, "Who are you going to give the task to? In the end, it’s Ruan Chanchan who found out that the mushrooms were edible. Do you want to hand this matter to soone else? Then who will teach it and how? By eating the toxic and non-toxic mushrooms on their own?"
The elders’ faces turned red when they heard Nan Zhi’s questions. They hated the r for pointing out their greedy intentions, but there were still so who didn’t think that there was anything wrong with what they were saying.
Elder Lin stepped forward and said, "There is no need to do such a thing; we can simply feed it to the beasts and see which one is poisonous and which one is not."
"Then you an to say that you are not only going to steal the idea but also the credit from Ruan Chanchan and make it all about yourself?" Nan Wu glanced at the elder who was speaking and questioned in a low voice.
"Thats not what I ant–"
"Then I do not see what else you are trying to do?" Nan Wu fired back. "You want to snatch the job from Ruan Chanchan without even finding any evidence. Why would she want to hurt Yuan Ni? And that too so deliberately as that? Everyone knows that she is the one who ca up with the idea of eating mushrooms. If sothing happens, then everyone is going to bla her. She is not an idiot for doing such a thing."
The elders had nothing to say regarding this, and many of the people in the tribe also agreed with what Nan Wu said. Indeed, Ruan Chanchan was the one who found the mushrooms, and if sothing happened to soone, then she would be the one who would get the bla. So, why would she do such a foolish thing?
"She must have done it," when Shao Xia saw that everyone was siding with Ruan Chanchan, her eyes widened with anger. Even though she didn’t like Yuan Ni, he was still one of her loyal dogs. For the sake of killing Ruan Chanchan, she killed Yuan Ni, and yet everyone was still siding with Ruan Chanchan. How could Shao Xia accept such a thing?
"I have no reason to kill Yuan Ni," said Ruan Chanchan coldly. "Now that you are done with your dramatics, can you step aside? I want to take a look at his condition."
How could Shao Xia allow Ruan Chanchan to get close to Yuan Ni? She stayed where she was and shot back, "Isn’t it because you hate Yuan Ni for showing you the mirror? He told you that you didn’t deserve Xie Daiyu. I did, and that’s why you hate him for that."
Ruan Chanchan closed her eyes and breathed heavily. She then turned to look at Shao Xia before saying to her, "I heard you; now get out of my way so that I can save this r."
"Save... what do you an by save?" Shao Xia felt her heart skip a beat when she heard Ruan Chanchan say that she would be able to save Yuan Ni. If Ruan Chanchan saved this r, then all her hard work would go down the drain, not to ntion everyone would start thinking that Ruan Chanchan was the ssiah of the tribe if she brought Yuan Ni back to life. So, how could she allow Ruan Chanchan to do such a thing?
Ruan Chanchan rolled her eyes as she tried to side-step the woman. "What? Did you think that I could not deal with mushroom poisoning? Since I found a way to eat these mushrooms, naturally, I will be able to deal with their poisoning. Now get out of my way and let deal with this matter." Even though this mushroom was not highly toxic, if she didn’t treat Yuan Ni right away, there was a good chance that this r might really die.
