Xie Daiyu stood in his spot for a long ti after his mother finished speaking to him.

His soul nearly left his body because even though he indeed wanted to have a child, Xie Daiyu didn’t want to get pregnant with a child so soon.

What are you talking about?" he began carefully, as if he was afraid that if he spoke even a little loudly, the beast goddess would descend and slap him in the face for having such evil intentions toward her blessed child, especially when he couldn’t even protect her. How dare he even think of getting a child from her? He cleared his throat and said in a low voice, "I cannot do such a thing. What will Chanchan think if I sche against her and get pregnant? Maybe she might never forgive ."
"What do you an she will never forgive you? The two of you are supposed to be imprinting on one another in a short while. How can she be angry at you?" Chief Xie felt frustrated. She thought that her son was thinking way too lightly. If they didn’t tie Ruan Chanchan down to their tribe, there was a very good chance that she might just leave their tribe and be done with it. After all, she didn’t even know that Xie Daiyu was her destined one!
Other than her brother, Ruan Chanchan had no ties to this tribe, and after what happened to her brother, there was a very good chance that Ruan Chanchan’s affection for their tribe had long dwindled. How would their tribe survive if they were abandoned by Ruan Chanchan? The one who was the hope and support of their tribe?

What Chief Xie said was indeed correct.
Ruan Chanchan was not only wise and smart with countless ideas in her little head, but she was also blessed by the beast goddess and could co up with countless tricks up her sleeves. Rong Xian wanted to take her away just because she was skilled in his eyes. What if he found out about the good things that Ruan Chanchan could do?
Xie Daiyu clenched his fists. He was also very strong. He was one of the strongest rs in the tribe. He had even survived tidal rifts. He had hunted deep-sea beasts and even punched a large beast so hard that it saw stars. But none of those even matched up to the calm, regal, extrely beautiful and well-funded prince with treasures worth their entire tribe.
What if I am truly not enough for her? What if she leaves , too? These thoughts began to coil within his chest, squeezing his heart tightly. What if Ruan Chanchan realised that being with Rong Xian was much safer? That the r could provide her with respect, and what was more, he heard from others that the killer whale tribe didn’t have elders with so much influence that they could make the decisions for the tribe.
Xie Daiyu looked worried. He was torn between listening to his mother and respecting his mate. Ruan Chanchan didn’t want to get close to him at the mont. Which ant that she didn’t want a child at all.
Sighing, Chief Xie simply said to her son, "I understand that you don’t want to go against Chanchan’s wishes, and I will not ask you to do it either. But think about what I said to you, Daiyu. Try to get close to Ruan Chanchan or else you might lose her to a killer whale."
"I won’t."
But even when he said those words, he lacked the conviction.
anwhile, Shao Xia, who heard from others that the prince of the killer whales had woken up, ca rushing to the tribe. She was afraid that maybe by the ti she returned from the hunt, Rong Xian would be gone, but to her surprise, the r was still in the tribe.
Shao Xia’s eyes lit up when she saw Rong Xian talking to his aide while looking at the arrangents for their return.
It is fate, thought Shao Xia happily. She rushed to where the convoy of the prince of whales was standing.
Hearing the sound of footsteps, Rong Xian raised his head as he thought that it was Ruan Chanchan who had changed her mind. But when he saw soone else walking over, he couldn’t help but frown. Zhai Rongyu followed his gaze and saw a strange woman walking over. He frowned when he saw Shao Xia walking over and ca in between her and Rong Xian when he saw that the woman was getting way too close to the prince.
"Who are you? What are you doing?" Zhai Rongyu asked in a stern voice as he looked up at the woman who had barged way too close to their convoy. His eyes fell on the totem that she was wearing on her skin, and he knew that she was from the big bear tribe, but sothing about her air and the way she looked at their prince made his skin crawl, and he wished she would look away instead of staring at his prince.
