With a sly smile on her lips, Ruan Chanchan replied, "Just this? It’s really simple!"
When Shao Xia heard her response, her eyes brightened up.
Looks like this woman is really just as foolish as she was before—she is willing to tell her secret so easily. Shao Xia was very confident when it ca to her manipulative skills. She thought that the woman was just as foolish as she was when she was young because if she wasn’t, then why would she be willing to share such important information with her?
"Is it really that simple?" Shao Xia asked with her eyes alight with happiness. It was as if she was not looking at Ruan Chanchan but at so kind of treasure chest that was going to help her strike gold.
"Yup. It’s really that simple," Ruan Chanchan nodded. She then pointed at the mushrooms and said to Shao Xia, "You just need to take the risk of eating the poisonous mushrooms. As long as you are still alive after eating them, the mushrooms are edible. It’s the sa for the fruits and nuts."
As soon as she finished speaking, Shao Xia’s expression turned sombre. She almost kicked Ruan Chanchan when she heard her response. What did she an by those words?
"Try to eat them first? Ruan Chanchan, are you trying to kill ? How can I stay alive if I eat a poisonous mushroom? I am genuinely trying to learn sothing from you. All I wanted was to help the tribe by learning your skills. Why did you have to say such rude words?" Shao Xia frowned. She felt like she had been cheated because she had clearly asked Ruan Chanchan to tell her how to detect the edible vegetables and fruits, and in exchange, the woman was telling her that she should go ahead and eat the unverified mushrooms and vegetables to find which one was edible and which was not.
