"What are you doing here?" Xie Daiyu asked warily. He suddenly had a very good feeling that this woman was planning sothing really, really sinister. And given the gaze with which she was looking at him, he had a very good idea that this woman was eyeing the instant noodles in his hands. Sothing that he didn’t want to share.
Li Nuanzi didn’t respond; instead, she pointed at the instant noodles that were in Xie Daiyu’s hands and asked, "What are these things? They look like worms, but they are not quite worms, are they? "

She never thought that, as the deputy chief of the Mighty Eagle Tribe, she would be treated as a thief.
Did this r think that she was going to snatch the pot from his hands? She was not that kind of person!
She was casually asking; it was not like she was so hungry that she would snatch it from him.
"I am not going to steal it; I am just asking what this thing is. It’s not like I am doing sothing wrong, am I?" Li Nuanzi didn’t show any signs of impatience, even though she was being treated as if she were about to commit any cri. With a smile plastered on her lips, she said in a low voice, "I have never seen these things before. What exactly are those?"
"These are instant noodles," Xie Daiyu replied. Though the two of them parted on the wrong end, he knew that he couldn’t just treat Li Nuanzi casually. In fact, as he looked at the greedy glint in her eyes, an idea started to form in his mind. He moved the pot to the left and then to the right, and each ti he moved the pot, Li Nuanzi’s eyes followed him.
She was looking at the pot as if she was about to lunge at it and snatch it from him, but she didn’t do it because she was still a guest!
With a frown on her face, she looked up and glared at the r subtly. "Just what do you think you are doing?" He was teasing her as if she were so little kid, and that made her really annoyed. Really, truly annoyed.
"Nothing, I was just testing a theory," said Xie Daiyu with a small smile playing on his lips and even though he didn’t show any expression on his face, sothing about his reaction made Li Nuanzi’s heart skip a beat. She suddenly had a feeling that this r was about to make a fool out of her. He was looking at her in the sa manner as her aunt, who wanted to take advantage of her.
The last ti she had this expression on her face, her aunt almost sold her off to a r of the tribe, with whom she wanted to form an alliance.

Li Nuanzi sucked in a breath. She asked warily, "And what kind of theory is this?"
"Nothing of importance."
And as soon as the r finished speaking, Li Nuanzi suddenly felt alarm bells ring in her head. Nothing of importance? Was the theory not of importance, or was it supposed to be kept a secret? Suddenly, Li Nuanzi had a feeling that she was about to be robbed!
The alarm bells in her head were telling her to leave, and yet she couldn’t because the scent alone made it impossible for her to move. She looked at the r and the pot of what he called instant noodles and asked, "Where do you get this from? Do you hunt down beasts for this, or are they found in the wild?"
"Wild?" Xie Daiyu chuckled. "This is not sothing that you can find in the wild. These instant noodles are blessings given to Ruan Chanchan. Do you think you can find these things in the wild?"
As soon as he finished speaking, he knew the fish had taken the bait because Li Nuanzi turned to look at him with a hint of surprise in her eyes. Her eyes flickered to the pot of noodles in his hands, and all kinds of thoughts started to form in her head. A part of her didn’t want to believe that such a thing was possible, but at the sa ti, Li Nuanzi couldn’t help but wonder whether the r was speaking the truth or not because she had never seen anything like this before.
"Can I have a bite?" she asked with a tone that could at best be considered polite. Li Nuanzi couldn’t help it; she was used to commanding the people of the tribes, which were weaker than her own. She only showed respect to those who ca from tribes that were stronger than her own. Other than that, she never paid any attention to anyone else.
This was her first ti trying to request from soone whom she considered way beneath her. Thus, her tone was naturally not good.
"You should try saying please," remarked Xie Daiyu as he took a bite of the luscious noodles. "That will work better."
"You—" this was the first ti soone had spoken to her in such a manner. She glared at the r as if she wanted to kill him, but she knew that there was no way she could have done that, possibly for two reasons. First, this r was way too strong for her to just kill him; secondly, he was also the son of the chief. If she attacked him, then naturally, the people around them would not leave her alone. They would certainly protect him, and Li Nuanzi couldn’t take on so many people at once; this was sothing that she knew.
Sucking in a breath, she gritted her teeth and said, "Then please...could you let have a taste of it?"
"Well, it wasn’t that hard, was it?" He asked with a smile on his lips.
Li Nuanzi wanted to say a lot of things, but he held back. She pursed her lips and said to the r, "Now, can I try it?"
Xie Daiyu wanted to play with Li Nuanzi, but he had a feeling that if he dared to mock the woman any further, there was a very good chance that she might lose her temper altogether. He handed her the pot and said, "You can eat the noodles first and then eat the at. That way, it will taste even better."
Li Nuanzi wanted to scoff. She wanted to tell him that there was no need for him to tell her what to do and what not to do. But she held herself back. She did as the r told her. She first sucked in a mouthful of noodles and then took a bite of the thin strip of at that was floating in the soup. As soon as she took a bite, her eyes lit up with glee.
This was the kind of taste that she had never tasted before.
She turned to look at Xie Daiyu and said to him, "This is sothing that Ruan Chanchan received from the beast goddess?"

Li Nuanzi’s eyes started to flicker when she heard those words. If that was the case, then it seed like she did the right thing by not going against Ruan Chanchan. If she had turned their relationship sour, then there was a very good chance that Ruan Chanchan might have turned her away the next ti they t.
Behind her, Shao Xia’s eyes turned wide with disbelief. When she saw Li Nuanzi heading over to Xie Daiyu, she was prepared to see a drama happening, but she never expected such a thing to happen. Why was this woman talking to Xie Daiyu about food?? She should be talking to the r but with the intention of charming him!
Why was she talking to him about food? What was she even thinking?
"Li Naunzi, what are you doing?" Shao Xie demanded as she hurried over to where the two of them were standing. She didn’t want Xie Daiyu to hook up with Li Nuanzi, but at the sa ti, she would rather have him stay next to Li Nuanzi rather than with that woman nad Ruan Chanchan!
Li Nuanzi: "..." ??
I am eating. What else do you think I am doing? ’
She turned and looked at the woman in surprise, and with a mouthful of noodles in her mouth, she asked, "What do you think I am doing?"
"You—" Shao Xia began to speak but before she could say another word, her eyes fell on the three twisted green leaves on Xie Daiyu’s arm.
