Hei Ya pursed his lips. He didn’t want to agree, but at the sa ti, the threat that Xiao Ya would refuse to imprint on him was hanging over his head. He looked at the woman he loved and pleaded with her, "Please... don’t do this to . If I kill her, then the entire tribe would certainly bla for what had happened."
Hei Ya was terrified out of his wits; after all, he knew what kind of importance that Ruan Chanchan had in the tribe. Asking him to kill her was equivalent to telling him that he should jump into the active volcano and burn himself to death. Was this sothing a person who was supposed to protect him should be telling him to do?
Listening to the r’s grovelling, Xiao Ya turned impatient. She glared at the r and said to him angrily. "I have already told you to do it. So just do it. Why are you saying so many nonsensical words?" Did he think that she was here to have a heart-to-heart talk with him? The reason she even bothered to co here was that this r was slightly useful for her; if not, then she would have never bothered to co here.
Xiao Ya was running out of her patience, and all she could wish was that this r would take on the task so that she wouldn’t have to bother with it anymore. She couldn’t fight back when Shao Xia was in front of her, but who asked Hei Ya to be smitten with her? She was the common case of fearing the strong and bullying the weak. She knew that Hei Ya liked her, and thus, even if she made a fuss in front of him, he would have no choice but to agree with her request, and it turned out to be indeed the case.
Hei Ya noticed long ago that Xiao Ya had little to no sympathy for him. She was determined to make him do what she wanted, and that made his heart turn cold. All this while he was chasing after Xiao Ya, thinking that the woman truly cared for him, but now that he thought about it, he could not help but wonder if it was really okay for him to continue chasing this woman.
When Xiao Ya saw that Hei Ya had turned silent, she suddenly panicked. She was afraid that Hei Ya would suddenly go out of her control and imdiately softened his tone before saying in a low voice, "Look, I know that you are also upset with this, but there is nothing that I can do about this either. Shao Xia asked to tell you that you need to do it, or else she will make trouble for your sister. I am just acting as the middlewoman; there is nothing that I can do about it either."
"You might think that I am being harsh on you, but my hands are also tied." After she finished speaking, Xiao Ya heaved a heavy sigh as if she was in trouble as well. It was as if she, too, had no choice but to agree to Shao Xia’s demands or else she was worried that Shao Xia would cause trouble for Hei Bin.
She raised her head and looked at Hei Ya. Sure enough, the r was looking a bit calr than he was earlier. Seeing this, Xiao Ya heaved a sigh of relief, as she was worried that the r would suddenly go out of her control after all; even if Hei Ya was smitten with her, he was still a hunting totem warrior and not a scout. If he went berserk, who would take the responsibility?
She certainly didn’t want to take any form of responsibility when it ca to this r!
"Alright, leave this matter to ." Hei Ya’s eyes flashed with a hint of determination. Since it had co to this, he had no other choice. With that thought, he firmly clenched his fingers.
Xiao Ya heaved a sigh of relief upon hearing Hei Ya’s agreent. As long as the r agreed, she didn’t care how he got the task done. She smiled at him and said, "Then I will leave this matter in your hands." Finally, she was able to wash her hands from this task. It greatly relieved her!
Hei Ya tried to smile, but his lips were stiff, and he could not even smile the slightest bit. He simply nodded at the woman and then turned around to walk past his cave.
On the other side, Ruan Chanchan had no idea that she was being targeted. She was counting the number of instant noodle packs that she had to hand over to the Mighty Eagle Tribe. She had just finished counting when she heard the sound of dogged footsteps coming from behind. She turned and looked behind her, where she caught sight of Hei Ya, who was walking toward her. When she saw the r who was always hanging out with Shao Xia and her team, she could not help but frown.
She looked over at him and asked in a low voice, "What are you doing here, Hei Ya?" She didn’t believe that the r ca to look for her on his own accord. There must be sothing sinister going on in his mind, or else he wouldn’t have co looking for her.
Hei Ya looked at Ruan Chanchan strangely. Seeing how calm she was, he was the one who turned panicked in his heart. Why was this woman acting as if she had no idea about his intentions? He cald his heart down and raised his head to look at Ruan Chanchan. "You know why I am here, don’t you?"
Ruan Chanchan pursed her lips and stepped back as she slowly raised her hands in the air and said to the r, "Whatever you are thinking of doing is not going to help you in any way. I am just telling you before you do sothing silly."
