Rong Xian’s eyes widened the second he took a bite of the at. The expression of ’I am better than you’ on his face soon lted away like the sea butter that Ruan Chanchan had cooked in the shell pan earlier. He chewed slowly; his throat moved as he swallowed the delicacy that he had never tasted in his entire life.
He turned his attention to the woman in front of him, and for the first ti in his life, he did not see just a female with exceptional skills. He saw a woman who had won his heart with just a single piece of at. He looked down at the translucent piece of chiton lobster at, and all of a sudden, he no longer wanted to return this treasure chest to the Big Bear tribe.
This woman was quite skilled, and the talent that she held in her was not sothing that he would find in anyone else. A dark feeling started to grow in his heart, and he couldn’t help but feel upset. He was clearly stronger, and his tribe was just as powerful. So why did Ruan Chanchan want to return to the Big Bear Tribe? What was there for her to return to? Was it not good enough that she could stay with them? Why would she need to go back? She did not have to.
"What do you think, your highness?" Ruan Chanchan asked with a tilt of her head. "Did I do as you expected?"
"Well, certainly you have. If I am being truthful here, you have surpassed what I had in mind," replied Rong Xian. When he asked Ruan Chanchan to cook, he did not expect much. He thought that the woman only knew a few tricks, but clearly, he had underestimated her. Ruan Chanchan knew much more than he gave her credit for. The thing that she had created after just one trial was sothing that he had never expected.
He had to admit that the taste of this chiton at was sothing that he would never forget.
"Alright then, I guess we can give this at to the children. And then we can start working on the other problems of the tribe." Ruan Chanchan clapped her hands, completely ignoring the romance in the air. She did not even notice that the r was looking at her with the kind of obsession that a predator has while eyeing his prey. "The sooner we deal with this problem, the better. I will be able to go back ho sooner that way." She was missing her little warm and fuzzy bear. It had not been long since the two of them had separated, but Ruan Chanchan was missing him.
She wondered if the poor r was worried about her. After all, her fall was not a pretty one. If she did not return ho soon, she was worried that the big bear tribe would declare her dead and even hold a bodyless funeral for her.
As soon as she finished speaking, Rong Xian’s eyes darkened. This was the first ti he had felt sothing for a woman, and she was this quick to escape from him. His eyes flashed with a dangerous glint that was a mixture of hunger and sothing else that scread that he was going to entrap Ruan Chanchan and keep her locked away from the rest of the world.
"Do you really have to speak of another r in front of ?" he asked, his voice dropping by an octave as he looked at her. "But can your bear provide you with what I can? I have power and honour, and he has nothing. Why don’t you agree to beco my consort? You can rule over an entire tribe."
As soon as he finished speaking, the entire crowd of onlookers sucked in a breath. The prince? The prince actually asked a woman to be his consort?
When Ruan Chanchan heard his suggestion, she felt a shiver dance up her spine, but she laughed as gallantly as she could; at the sa ti, her laughter sounded like a donkey kicking a tin can. "Your highness, please don’t joke with . I am not even worth carrying your shoes. Look at – I already have a mate, and I don’t even have a totem core. I am just good with so little tricks, not at all worthy of the throne."
Rong Xian narrowed his eyes at Ruan Chanchan, and the latter jumped in the air; she was worried that the r would get angry at her and even kill her. Thus, she imdiately turned her attention to the rest of the rs and said to them, "Alright, since we have already dealt with this little trouble. We might as well start focusing on the other problem. From the sneezes of the little one, I guess your first problem is the cold nights, right? Then we should think of a way to build kang beds."
"What are Kang beds?" One of the rs could not help but ask with slight confusion in his voice.
"Kang Beds are heated stone platforms. They are really perfect for chilly weather. Like a warm hug in the middle of the night. It is just the perfect thing for you, and I assure you, you will love it. All I need is a lead labourer, and everything will be easy."
"What do you need for these Kang beds?" Rong Xian asked while looking at the woman in front of him. Suddenly, he felt as if he was getting a fever. He had indeed been tangled with this problem for so long that he had run out of ideas, but nothing seed to be working. Especially for the young ones.
"I need so volcanic ash," said Ruan Chanchan. She thought about the limitations of her own supermarket and sighed. It would be a very long journey before she could unlock the level where she could start buying cent. So she might as well start making so for herself!
