"Sister!"
Ruan Chanchan snapped out of her daze and looked up at her brother, who was staring at her with a look of sheer confusion in his eyes. "What’s wrong with you? Are you feeling alright? If not, then we can go to Priestess Yuan and have her take a look at you."
"I am fine." Ruan Chanchan shook her head and refused. Since she had already given herself away, she was not going to bother acting like a fool. It was quite embarrassing to always act like she didn’t understand anything. The entire tribe had watched her treat Ah Man; it would be quite humiliating if she still continued to act like she was a little fool.
When Ruan Zeqiu heard Ruan Chanchan’s response, he bead happily. Seeing him smile like a fool, Ruan Chanchan didn’t say anything. This brother of his had been doing it for quite so ti. In fact, he had been doing this ever since she woke up. Ruan Zeqiu would ask the silliest questions, and he would be really happy every ti Ruan Chanchan answered him.
Though she understood why the r was doing it, after so ti, it beca a bit tireso. She hoped that Ruan Zeqiu would soon get bored with these antics, or else she would have to put her foot down. Sothing that she didn’t want to do, as Ruan Chanchan understood his happiness.
"Sister, do you want to eat so beast eggs?" Ruan Zeqiu asked. The two of them had taken a bath after Ruan Chanchan insisted that it was good for health. At first, Ruan Zeqiu wanted to resist, as he didn’t like the idea of wetting his body, but after Ruan Chanchan continued to insist, he had no other choice but to agree.
However, he had to admit that at his age, Ruan Zeqiu felt a bit uncomfortable after being washed by his sister. But once the process of taking the bath was over, he had to admit that he quite liked it. After all, he didn’t know what kind of magical thing his sister used; he slled quite nice, and the water that he had used to take a bath had turned murky and dirty like a puddle of mud. He never thought that he was that dirty!
"Beast eggs?" Ruan Chanchan frowned. She knew that Ruan Zeqiu was talking about the dinosaurs’ eggs. She hesitated, as she had already had enough of the beast at. Though the poultry section of her supermarket was still closed off. There were still so instant chicken noodles that she could cook and eat.
But Ruan Chanchan hesitated. Firstly, she thought that eating too much instant food would be a bit unhealthy for her. Secondly, she didn’t want to show off too much of her powers. However, Ruan Chanchan thought about it a little and nodded.
"But where will you get the eggs?" Ruan Chanchan asked with a soft voice.
"Don’t worry, sister. Hunting beasts’ eggs is way easier than hunting down the entire beast," chuckled Ruan Zeqiu with a smile on his lips. He got to his feet and said to her, "I will be back in a little while. You can stay at the cave and look around."
"But don’t go outside. There are many bad people who are waiting to take advantage of you."
Ruan Zeqiu would never forget last night. He had been waiting for his sister, worried that sothing might have happened to her, as she didn’t return even after waking up and was just about to return when Xie Daiyu arrived with her. The r smiled at him and told him that he needed to take care of Ruan Chanchan quite well. Though Xie Daiyu didn’t say anything much, Ruan Zeqiu was way too sharp.
He noticed the dazed and shy look on the face of his sister and the smug look on Xie Daiyu’s face; he was quite sure that sothing had happened between the two of them. If not, then why would the atmosphere be that weird and ambiguous? Just the thought alone of how his sister hadn’t even gotten better properly, and so wild boar was about to snatch her away, was enough to make Ruan Zeqiu tremble with anger.
How dare he? Even if that r was the son of the chief, he was not allowed to touch his sister. Pei! So what if he was the son of the chief? Did he think he could just drag his sister and have kids with her? He would not allow that to happen!
His sister had just gotten better, and she certainly didn’t need soone like Xie Daiyu disrupting her life.
Ruan Chanchan’s face turned red. She knew that Ruan Zeqiu was talking about Xie Daiyu. After all, when she returned last night, her brother kept asking her what had happened between her and Xie Daiyu. Even when she told him nothing had happened, Ruan Zeqiu didn’t quite believe her.
Maybe it was because the heat from her face never dissipated. But what was Ruan Chanchan supposed to do? She had never seen a r lean down and actually say words like he was going to give birth to her babies. The rs she was so used to were dainty, shy and a little adorable. This was her first ti eting a r who was this bold when it ca to matters of the bedroom.
Sigh, was it because it had been a long ti since she slept with a r? Maybe that must be the reason why her body was reacting in such a manner. Ruan Chanchan was lost in her thoughts, wondering what to make out of Xie Daiyu’s ultimatum when—

Ruan Chanchan snapped her head and looked at the blue screen floating in front of her, and then turned to look at the system which was bobbing up and down next to her. "Darling~ I am back—Ack!"
