The mont Shin disappeared into the white fog, Lilel dove downward. Invisible, she passed through the ceiling and into the basent level.

Of course, she couldn’t hide objects she touched, but it was not a big deal. Even if they saw objects floating in the air, it was not easy to react.

She floated above a stack of containers. Most of them were filled with the drugs they had recently produced.

One of the n barely had ti to look up before it smashed into him. And soon another was killed, as Lilel dropped a bottle of wine on his head.

"What the hell...?!"

"I saw it, it’s an invisible man!" a man said, pointing to a bottle floating in the air.

However, after the fairy dropped the bottle, they couldn’t tell where she was anymore. And in the next instant, Lilel was making a ss of the cables in that place.

And out of nowhere, again, she was dropping heavy things on them. Panic multiplied faster than the damage.

Within minutes, the basent had turned into chaos. And that chaos fed itself.

Amid the noise, Lilel fled, searching for the little girl. Her chest tightened as she silently begged that she had survived.

And finally, she found her, weak and curled up in a corner.

Her arm was bent at an unnatural angle. The injuries she suffered when escaping had gotten worse. Clearly, her arm was broken.

When Lilel approached, the girl flinched at the movent of dust in the air.

"It’s okay," Lilel whispered, becoming visible. "I ca to help you. We need to run from here."

"Okay..." The girl tried to stand. She couldn’t.

To make things worse, footsteps echoed down the corridor, getting closer.

A large man arrived, his lips curling into a cruel grin. The giant, Golias, loved catching the kids who tried to run. The despair on their faces was the sweetest thing he knew.

"So you are the girl who escaped?" He walked in casually, as if none of the chaos upstairs mattered.

Lilel got invisible, trying to find an opening to kill the enemy. anwhile, the girl tried to crawl away, but he grabbed her by the broken arm.

"Argh!!!!" A scream tore from her throat, her eyes widening in pain.

He lifted her like she weighed nothing. The poor girl was hanging by her broken arm.

"Annoying brat." Golias’ fist drove into her stomach. The impact folded her body. Air left her lungs in a dry, choking gasp.

Seeing it, Lilel snapped into motion. She thrust herself between them just as he pulled back for another punch. Her translucent barrier shimred into existence.

His fist slamd into it. The force field bent inward violently. Cracks of light spidered across its surface.

For a second, it held, but the bullet had left it weaker. Then it shattered, and the little fury was hit by the punch.

Lilel’s vision blurred. She had been overusing her power, and her body was reaching its limit.

The man’s eyes narrowed.

"So there you are."

He couldn’t see her clearly before. Now, as her strength faltered, her outline flickered into visibility.

The giant man’s hand closed around Lilel before she could even try to escape. Pain exploded through her tiny body as he squeezed her.

With his other hand, he swung the girl by her broken arm. The child scread, her voice already raw.

"Die, stupid girl." He hurled her outward like a rag doll.

"Fuck!" Lilel scread, trying to set herself free. She couldn’t let the girl die in front of her, not like that.

At that instant, sothing inside Lilel snapped. Sothing was pulling her. Like a thread of lightning pulling her sowhere.

She felt an intense pain. Her vision was different, her body felt different, and her arm scread in pain. And she finally understood, sohow she was controlling the girl’s body.

Golias was still mid-swing. Lilel was able to shift position mid-air and lend a kick to the man, forcing him to release her. The broken arm regenerated, and her body was overflowing with power.

And with the fury of a beast, she lunged forward, punching the man with all her force. Her fists pierced through the multiple layers of muscle like it was nothing and ca out on the other side.

"What is..." Golias couldn’t speak anymore, as his body fell to the ground dead. Everything happened so fast, he didn’t even understand the cause of his own death.

For a heartbeat, Lilel stayed in the girl’s body. Then the connection snapped. Her strength vanished, and the girl collapsed, coughing.

Lilel reappeared, wings trembling. Her head was spinning, and the pain was terrible, but she needed to keep conscious.

"Hide," she whispered.

The child, even while suffering imnse pain, had her body regenerate enough for her to run a short distance and hide.

Now, with both of them completely exhausted, all they could do was hope they wouldn’t be found.

"I’m sorry, but I won’t be able to go help you," Lilel said, her jaw tensing as she thought about Shin. All she could do was hope he would get out of that ss alive.

Inside the Karaoke private room, the girls began getting worried because it was taking really long for Shin to co back.

John convinced everyone to wait there at first, but things spiraled out of control when the girls heard the loud sound of a wall being destroyed.

"I will go check what is happening," Ange said. "You all stay inside, ok."

Seeing he wouldn’t be able to convince them to stay, John grew worried. His henchn were clearly intending to deal with the girls soon, drugging them.

One of them had even considered disobeying him and using the drug imdiately. However, it was at that mont that he realized he didn’t have it anymore.

Pondering the possibilities, John knew he couldn’t let his n kill the girls directly. If that happened, Shin would definitely never help him later. Still, John didn’t want to get too involved.

"We will go. You two co with ," John said, giving his n a stern look.

They wanted to protest, but in the end, they followed him.

The hallway was empty, but he could hear Sakuraba screaming angrily. John felt a cold sweat. If Shin was strong enough to fight Sakuraba, he had no chance.

I really need to get on his good side for now... John fought. And looking at the two n following him, the man was certain of his decisions.

"What now, boss?" one of them muttered.

The first man barely had ti to react before John’s knife slid under his ribs. The second tried to attack, but panic slowed him.

John grabbed his wrist, slamd him against the wall, and drove the blade into his throat. The corridor fell silent except for choking breaths and the soft drip of blood on tile.

He exhaled, steadying himself. He could have killed them easily with his system, but that would have made it easy for others to identify him as the killer later.

This way, he could return to the girls and sohow convince them to stay. If Shin won, John could say he had protected Yumi and the others. If Shin lost, he could claim he had simply been keeping an eye on the rchandise.

It was the perfect plan.

However, when he returned to the private room, the door stood half open. Hinami soon inford him that Ange, Aiko, and Yumi had gone looking for Shin.

For a mont, he just stood there, mind racing, every outco worse than the last. Realizing how badly this could end for him, John swallowed hard.

There was no chance he would go out to see where they were. If he, for any chance, needed to confront soone strong like Sakuraba, it would be a certain death.

Now all he could do... was hope they didn’t die.

anwhile, a bit far from there, Shin was hiding perfectly from Sakuraba. Lilel had done a good job, so he only needed to focus on hiding.

And it was in that mont of relief, when he finally let himself believe things were going well, that he heard his sister’s voice.

She and Ange sounded scared as they comnted about the destruction of the place. Apparently, they had even called for the police.

"Fuck, why is she here?" Shin murmured. He needed to talk to them before Sakuraba could...

"Oh! I see we have so fine ladies here!"

Shin’s heart sank the mont he heard his enemy’s voice. Still, he couldn’t act recklessly, so he held his breath and watched.

Yumi stepped forward hesitantly, her voice trembling.

"W-who are you...? Do you know what’s happening here, sir?"

Sakuraba didn’t answer imdiately. Instead, he took a slow, deliberate step toward them, the sound of his shoes echoing across the ruined floor.

"Tell ," he said calmly, almost politely, "have you seen a fat man running around here?"

The girls looked at each other. They had no idea of what was happening, but they naturally thought off Shin imdiately.

"I... I don’t know..." Yumi whispered.

Sakuraba’s expression darkened slightly.

"If you’re lying," he continued in the sa composed tone, "I will kill you."

Yumi froze completely, fear locking her body in place. Beside her, Ange stepped forward, forcing herself to stand firm.

"We don’t know anything," she said, voice shaking but determined. "We just got here."

Sakuraba’s gaze sharpened. He shifted his stance, clearly about to strike... and at that exact mont, Shin moved.

He burst from hiding and drove a kick straight into Sakuraba’s side, forcing him back a step.

It barely did anything. Sakuraba only took a small step back in surprise; the attack hadn’t hurt him at all.

"So you were here."

Before Shin could react, Sakuraba’s fist shot forward.

The punch slamd into Shin’s stomach with crushing force, driving the air from his lungs and forcing him to his knees.

Shin gagged, vision spinning. Seeing it, Sakuraba sighed softly, as if disappointed.

"You revealed yourself for them?" he said, adjusting his sleeve with elegant precision. "How sentintal, I expected more..."

He reached down, grabbing Shin by the hair and yanking his head up.

"Heroes die first, you know."

Pain throbbed through Shin’s body, but before Sakuraba could continue, a notification flashed across Shin’s vision.

For a split second, even through the pain, Shin’s eyes widened, and he felt power run through his veins.
