Shin found it strange when Ana began venting about Tomoko. In the ga, it was possible to create cracks in their friendship, but it took a lot of effort.

Still, as he listened to her story carefully, he could more or less imagine what had happened. Most likely, the man at the gym had reminded Ana of him, and that had been the trigger for her anger.

’Summarizing, the difference in personality between you and the ga character made Ana fall in love much more easily. And that accelerated everything,’ Lilel comnted in his mind.

’Yes,’ Shin agreed.

He had been a little worried about things going differently and becoming unpredictable, but it was not really that different, just faster.

Taking Ana’s masochistic tendencies into consideration, he could more or less understand what she was thinking.

And Shin felt much more comfortable once he could understand things. It made him feel like he was in control again.

Because of that, he decided to be aggressive.

Originally, he had a long plan to make Tomoko fall for him. He intended to leave her as his last target, since conquering her would be much easier after he got in shape.

But now there was no reason to keep beating around the bush. He could use Ana to easily break Tomoko’s spirit.

"Tonight, we’re going to spend it at my place. I need to discipline my little sister," Shin said, making his decision.

Ana simply nodded, showing she agreed.

Before Shin could continue thinking about his next steps, a waitress approached their table with a polite smile.

"Have you decided what you’d like to order?"

The question snapped Shin out of his thoughts.

Ana answered almost imdiately.

"I’ll have the Coq au Vin, please." She said naturally. Her family was rich, so it was not her first ti having it.

Shin blinked. He had absolutely no idea what that was.

To be honest, he had been so focused on the conversation that he had barely looked at the nu. He also hadn’t had ti to check which dishes had the lowest calories.

Besides, he did not plan to stay long. He just wanted to eat quickly and leave. He was more interested in dealing with Tomoko than continuing with the date.

Anyway, he picked up the nu and scanned through it extraordinarily fast. Soldiers learned to absorb the most important information quickly, even under pressure. Not that he had ever expected to use that skill in such a pitiless situation.

Several dishes caught his attention. A dry-aged ribeye with truffle butter sounded incredible, and a lobster ravioli in saffron cream almost made him forget his diet.

Just as he was about to settle on one of them, Lilel’s voice cut through his thoughts.

’The burrata salad with heirloom tomatoes.’

Shin frowned slightly.

’You need to lose weight. Order the salad,’ the little fairy insisted, her tone reminding Shin of when Lisa used to train him.

He sighed internally. Still, he obeyed almost by instinct.

"...I’ll take the burrata salad with heirloom tomatoes," he told the waitress, clearly less enthusiastic than Ana.

"Very well," she said with a nod before leaving their table.

The food arrived not long after.

Ana seed to enjoy her al. However, what really made her happy was to continuously tease Shin.

Shin ate his salad in quiet resignation. He couldn’t avoid eyeing other people’s dishes, but he kept repeating to himself that he needed to get in shape.

Once they finished eating, the waitress returned with the bill. Shin picked it up without hesitation and paid for the entire al.

Of course, Ana teased him about it, but didn’t protest, letting him pay. She didn’t even have enough money with her at that point to pay.

By the way, Eva had already given him a credit card so Shin could use it whenever he needed.

A few minutes later, the two of them stepped outside the restaurant together. They got even more stares, this ti a mix of judgnt and confusion as people saw the couple entering the Ferrari.

Their clothes and the car just didn’t match, but again, Shin ignored all of that. He simply turned on the engine and drove back to his house.

...

"Fuck you!" Tomoko ended her call with her mother, cursing the woman.

Once again, nothing had changed. Minako couldn’t care less about her own kids, and once again, she wasn’t coming back.

"She spends her ti everywhere... but at ho," Tomoko muttered bitterly.

Her mother’s absence really drove her mad. After all, she still rembered a ti when Minako used to cheer for her during volleyball practice.

The ti she was there at every ga.

"Fuck her!" Tomoko smashed her hand against the kitchen table.

The wooden surface made a cracking noise, but she couldn’t see any visible damage.

Tomoko let out a small sigh of relief. She didn’t want another problem to deal with.

She was already really angry with everything. And her period wasn’t helping at all.

She looked at her phone again, hoping it would bring her so happiness.

On the contrary, it only made her more frustrated.

Ana still hadn’t answered her, which only made her more annoyed.

At the sa ti, she felt strangely abandoned. She really wanted to talk to her friend right then.

Her emotions kept shifting quickly. Sad. Then angry again. Then, I was just frustrated with everything.

Nothing was going the way she wanted, and that left her absolutely furious.

Tomoko groaned and opened the fridge. Maybe sugar would help.

She grabbed a banana, so milk, and a big bag of sugar. If she couldn’t fix her problems, at least she could make sothing sweet.

She dropped everything on the counter and pulled the blender closer.

The banana peel slipped from her fingers and landed on the floor.

"Great," she muttered.

She tossed the banana into the blender, poured milk without asuring, then dumped several large spoonfuls of sugar inside. The grains spilled everywhere, scattering across the counter and the floor.

Tomoko didn’t even bother wiping it.

She slamd the blender lid down and pressed the button.

The machine roared to life.

For half a second.

Then the lid popped loose.

Milk and banana splattered across the counter, the cabinets, and part of her shirt.

Tomoko stared at the ss in silence.

The blender continued whining, half-open, spraying sticky drops of sweet milk.

Her hands clenched.

"Oh, for fuck’s sake!"

She turned the blender off and grabbed the whole thing, dumping the half-mixed ss straight into the sink.

Banana chunks slid down the drain.

The counter was covered in sugar, milk, and pieces of fruit. The floor was sticky. Her shirt was wet.

Tomoko looked at the disaster she had created.

Then she simply turned away.

"Whatever, Shin can clean this shit."

She grabbed a glass, filled it with water, drank it in two gulps, and dropped the cup into the sink with the rest of the ss.

Then Tomoko went to the living room. Yumi had left her console there, and Tomoko wanted to play sothing.

However, at that mont, Shin arrived.

He calmly opened the door and stepped inside. But what really caught Tomoko’s attention was the woman accompanying her brother.

Her heart began to race, and she could hardly believe what she was seeing.

Why was her best friend coming ho with her boyfriend? Even worse, the way she looked at him was...

"No... no..." Tomoko mumbled to herself.

She did not know much about romance. Still, it was impossible not to notice the passion in Ana’s eyes. The way her body naturally leaned close to Shin’s. The playful grin on her face.

"Why are you with my brother?" Tomoko roared.

She stepped forward and imdiately walked toward them, her eyes burning with fury.

"We were on a date," Shin answered simply, stepping between Ana and his sister.

His huge body naturally hid Ana completely.

"Do you have any problem with that, sis?" Shin’s stern tone made the woman step back by instinct.

"What do you an by that? Did you blackmail my best friend or sothing, creep?!" she scread.

"Sis, watch your tongue!" Shin said in a dominant tone. "It’s late. Stop screaming, you’ll wake the neighbors."

"There’s no way the neighbors will hear us! You know how big this house is!" Tomoko scread even louder, provoking her brother on purpose.

"Don’t make repeat myself," Shin said, stepping closer.

Tomoko was normally fearless, but it was impossible not to feel at least a little intimidated by his size.

"You can’t tell what to do!" She tried to keep her defiant look.

Shin placed his hand on his sister’s shoulder. The strength of his grip made her flinch.

Tomoko tried to push her brother away, but she couldn’t. To her surprise, beneath all that fat, there was a wall of massive muscle.

Tomoko wondered if her brother had always been this strong.

"Hey! Why is the kitchen a ss?" Ana asked, stepping out from Shin’s shadow.

Tomoko trembled for a second when her friend noticed the ss.

"Sis, did you make this ss?" Shin asked.

Tomoko couldn’t explain why, but when she t her brother’s gaze, she felt afraid... so afraid she didn’t want to tell the truth.

"It... it was Yumi," she said, deciding to put the bla on soone else.

"She’s lying," Ana said calmly. After all, she knew her friend very well.

Hearing that, Tomoko blinked in shock. She couldn’t believe her best friend was siding with her brother.

It couldn’t be real.

It just couldn’t.

"Why are you siding with him?!" she scread, her voice breaking with anger and disbelief.
