"Are you sure?"
The voice of Blue Jade sounded sowhat incredulous.
"It's not clear yet, but it should be close. If Duke Salicardo is right, these demons are here to kill him."
Arthur said as he raised his gun and shot dead a demon trying to get close.
"We've always suspected that the ard forces of the Exiled People originated from Gaulunaro. Our century-long sworn enemy still refuses to settle down, but I didn't expect to find traces of demons here."
In recent years, the exiled people from Gaulunaro have beco a rather serious social issue in Ingwig. Moreover, they recently ford an ard group, causing chaos like terrorists. However, from Ingwig's perspective, these are just small skirmishes. It's likely that Gaulunaro provided them assistance after the White Tide Strait.
But it was unexpected that their activities would extend to Old Dunling and involve demons.
Poor quality Secret Blood, ard groups, impact on the nobles.
Arthur took a deep drag of his last cigarette and tossed the butt to the ground.
At that mont, he suddenly rembered that Eve was still in this godforsaken place, causing him a throbbing headache.
One troubleso issue after another...
Arthur's breathing suddenly halted as a dark shadow flashed before him, and sharp claws pierced through his abdon. That damned thing was truly terrifying, launching an attack at the mont Arthur let his guard down the most.
"So, are you the one here to kill him?"
Arthur coldly questioned, his eyes fierce despite his abdominal injury, as if he was completely unfazed.
Horner did not speak, his body already fully demonized, his bones growing in twisted ways, his face retaining a vague human shape, his eyes hollow and expressionless, flas burning within.
Those were eyes of vengeance, completely dominating that hollow soul.
This kind of person couldn't be the mastermind behind it all; he was just a pitiful pawn driven by soone else.
Arthur chuckled; in an instant, he saw through this person.
"Blue Jade, Salicardo is not their target. The real target is soone else."
Whether it's the burning castle or the surging demons, none of this had anything to do with Horner. He was rely a lonely avenger.
None of this belonged to him, so creating such a grand spectacle for one person's revenge seed rather wasteful. Whether it's the demon invasion or Horner's revenge, it was all just a cover to hide the true purpose. This pitiful soul was a sacrificial pawn from the very beginning, ant to draw all eyes to him.
Arthur gripped the sharp claw tightly, using his formidable strength to slowly withdraw it from his abdon. Horner tried to resist, but he found that his strength couldn't suppress Arthur at all.
"How... is this... possible..."
He managed to utter a barely discernible sound from his throat; Horner had never imagined a mortal could possess such strength.
"There are still many things, young man, that you don't know."
Arthur pried open the sharp claw, capturing it like an iron vice, then with his other hand, struck down with force, brutally breaking Horner's claw. Blood and bone fragnts splattered, yet Arthur stood as firm as steel amidst it all. This visual sensation was far more thrilling than any gunfire.
Mysterious power enveloped this mortal's body, reactivating a long-dormant force.
In fact, many tis people from the Purification chanism forget one thing: before gaining armor technology, what did the Purification chanism rely on to fight demons?
Arthur picked up the broken claw with a backhanded motion, stabbing it towards Horner like a blade.
