"So, what’s the plan?" Sitting in front of Cang Yue with his head resting on Cang Yue’s soft breasts, Yang Ze couldn’t help but ask. After testing his skills and his limits, the three won didn’t say much. They just got on the horses before making their way towards their next destination.
They have been riding on the horses for the past few hours, and now Yang Ze finally couldn’t hold it any longer. This was the first ti he was actively participating in sothing; otherwise, from the mont he ca to this world, he had spent all his ti either running away or trying to survive. Now he finally felt like he was exploring a proper cultivation world.
"You will stay with the whole ti. But don’t worry, you don’t have to fight." Feeling Yang Ze’s body tremble when she ntioned he needed to co with her, Cang Yue couldn’t help but shake her head with a smile before speaking further.
"Find a suitable place to hide and then, when the ti is ripe, upon my signal, use the wail."
"Also, since you know how to fight, use your illusions to help out."
"But rember..." Speaking till here, her voice turned solemn. "Don’t get caught."
"If worse cos to worst, just run." With these words, she stabbed her finger before forcing a drop of blood out. Under Yang Ze’s confused gaze, she then pulled his hand and wiped that drop of blood upon his bracelet, and the mont she did that, the bracelet automatically opened with a ’click’.
"This!" Yang Ze rembered the bracelet. It was sothing that Cang Yue gifted him when she told him about the mission. At that ti, his mories were sealed, so he, who was awestruck by Cang Yue’s beauty, rely thought of it as a gift.
It wasn’t until he put it around his wrist did he realised what it was, but at that ti, it was too late to regret.
It was a device that Cang Yue specially brought to keep an eye on him. She was afraid that he would run away at the first opportunity. But now...
Throughout her life, she had t with all kinds of people and could tell about a person just by looking at them. If the previous Yang Ze felt like a slippery eel who wanted to escape, then the current Yang Ze was like a firm tree, willing to stay with her.
And with this act of taking off his bracelet, she was even more sure of this, but she still thought about sothing before lowering her head as she bit Yang Ze’s earlobe before whispering in his ear.
"Don’t you dare leave alone."
"....." The mont Cang Yue nibbled on his ear, Yang Ze felt a surge of current throughout his body. And after listening to Cang Yue’s words, he just nodded in response.
After going through so much with her, he too didn’t think about leaving. Even if he were to leave, where was he supposed to go? Why not start anew with her? Even if she was with him because of his appearance, he didn’t care too much about it. As for his physique... even if she knew the truth, she hadn’t taken advantage of him.
In this case, she was far better than her sister Lin Wan, who didn’t hesitate to assault him the mont she discovered his physique.
As for whether she truly loved him or not... Yang Ze didn’t have an answer to that. But he was willing to give it a try. After all, the tenderness she constantly displays with him couldn’t be faked, and if it could, then he was better off jumping down a cliff. Living in a world where everyone wanted a piece of him, and he couldn’t trust anyone... it would be worse than hell.
"Hmph!" On the other hand, Lin Yue looked at the two of them being so intimate before letting out a cold snort.
Xiao Ruolan, beside her, just shook her head before focusing on the road before her.
After a brief period of silence, Yang Ze quietly looked at Cang Yue’s personal panel before using his daily sign in on her last talent.
[Sign In to Sinful Yin Heart(Purple) successful.]
[Congratulations on getting a talent upgrade card(purple).]
Yang Ze just took a deep breath before he barely managed to control his excitent. Any talent that could cause any physical or ntal change would give him items as rewards. He had gotten a talent upgrade card before. Looking at the description of the Talent Upgrade Card, he couldn’t help but let out a satisfied smile.
[Talent Upgrade Card: Could upgrade any talent once. (Purple and below)]
He thought for a mont.
Currently, he has four purple talents... Enlightennt, Persistence, Trembling Fingers and Illusion master.
He first crossed out Trembling Fingers. Till now, he has never had a chance to use it. Besides... he didn’t even know if this talent was useful in combat or not.
He then focuses on the other three talents.
Amongst the three, the Illusion master was the one who could be used in combat. Since he was going to the Blue Faced tribe, upgrading it might help him a lot.
But then again, out of all his talents, enlightennt was his most powerful talent.
It was with this talent that he managed to go from a mortal to an expert in the realm of foundation forging.
He knew how hard it was to co across a talent above ’Blue’ rarity, much less a purple talent and then get a talent upgrade card.
Perhaps he might not get a talent upgrade card for the next month or so. In that case, not upgrading his most important talent would be the most idiotic thing to do.
Gritting his teeth, he made his decision.
"Upgrade Enlightennt."
Yang Ze muttered inside his head.
Even if he were to upgrade his Illusion Master skill, the only thing he would be able to do is to conjure more illusions, sothing that needed massive ntal Energy. And the fight with Blood Corpse made him aware of the shortcomings of the illusion. He could still rember how that damned thing beat its chest to dispel his illusion.
Although the chances were low, what if the leader of the Blue Faced tribe could do the sa?
In that case, he wouldn’t even have tears to shed.
The mont Yang Ze used the talent upgrade card to upgrade Enlightennt, he felt a cold sensation in his mind. In that instant, he felt a sense of comfort unlike anything.
Unfortunately for him, it was short-lived.
Before he could fully experience it, it ended, leaving an endless aftertaste.
Thankfully, neither of the three won noticed anything amiss.
Yang Ze controlled the excitent in his heart before focusing on the translucent row of text in front of him.
[Enlightennt (Golden): Use your ntal energy to enter a state of Enlightennt.]
Looking at the short but direct explanation, Yang Ze couldn’t help but narrow his eyes.
It took him a mont to realise what the changes were as a conflicted expression appeared on his face.
He didn’t know if this newly upgraded talent had beco stronger or weaker.
The first thing he noticed was that the limit of fifteen minutes per day was removed. Now he could enter the state of enlightennt any ti he wished to without worrying about its cooldown.
And that’s where a new problem appeared.
The enlightennt now depends on his ntal energy.
Theoretically, as long as his ntal energy was sufficient, he could stay in the state of Enlightennt forever.
With the Mystic Nether Art, Yang Ze’s ntal energy was far greater than an ordinary person. And with the visualisation of each mortal object, his ntal energy would increase further.
Though it might take so ti, but in the future, it was entirely possible for him to stay in the state of enlightennt for an entire day.
"If only I had that crimson heart." Yang Ze was even beginning to miss the crimson heart. That thing could give infinite ntal and internal energy.
But if he were truly given a chance to take it, he wouldn’t. That thing influenced him even before he made direct contact with it. If he truly were to get it again, he didn’t dare to imagine his pitiful fate. Perhaps he, too, would be like that Blood Corpse, writing in constant agony while roaming around and attacking everyone mindlessly.
"Should I try entering the state of Enlightennt?" The mont this thought ca to his mind, he imdiately threw it out. Right now, he was riding the horse with Cang Yue with both their bodies glued to each other.
With her strength, she would imdiately notice the mont he entered Enlightennt. Even though the relationship between the two of them was slowly warming up, Yang Ze didn’t want to reveal too much about his talents to her. At least not for the mont.
He could only test it later on.
With this in mind, his tense body relaxed as he simply closed his eyes.
---------------
"Is this the place?" Looking at the dense forest in front of him, Yang Ze couldn’t help but narrow his eyes.
This journey took them more than thirteen hours.
Even though they didn’t face any bandits or ambush on their path, they still faced a few demonic beasts, which were swiftly dealt with by both Lin Yue and Xiao Ruolan.
"This is the place." Lin Yue nodded in response as she gazed at the forest in front of her.
The entire forest was lush green, filled with trees almost twenty ters long and five ters wide.
The forest was spread out as far as their eyes could see, with even bigger trees further in the distance.
Even from their current position, which was at the very edge of the forest, they could hear the roars of demonic beasts.
"Here." Xiao Ruolan picked up a bag before taking out a map from it.
"We need to go there." Pointing at the middle of the map, Xiao Ruolan simply looked at Lin Yue beside her.
The map was provided by the Intelligence branch of the Sword Sect, so it was extrely detailed. Clearly displaying resources, possible treasures, demonic beasts and even places crawling with loose cultivators.
And in the middle of the map was a large section circled in red with the na ’Blue Faced Tribe’ written on it.
After glancing at the map for a while, Lin Yue finally let out a deep breath before looking towards Yang Ze.
"Use your clone to scout the area."
Yang Ze just nodded in response before closing his eyes as his clone appeared beside him.
Without waiting another mont, the clone picked up the copy of the map before rushing forward.
But not even ten minutes passed, and before Yang Ze could explore the area around him, he heard a sharp whistle before the clone’s head was pierced by a long iron arrow.
The last thing he heard was the mocking laughter of a bunch of won along with their chilling voices.....
"We can add one more man to our skin collections..."
