"What is there to do?" Yang Ze replied while gazing in the direction the group had left. It wasn’t until the group disappeared that he finally turned to gaze up at Lin ilin’s face before speaking in a soft voice.
"Let them go... Let them spread the words about ." Speaking till here, Yang Ze’s eyes flashed for a mont a plan suddenly began to form in his mind.
"The more people they send after , the better it will be."
Right now, one of his biggest problems is trying to find suitable talent for sign in. If he were to keep on roaming aimlessly, hoping to find a blue or above rarity talent, then it was definitely going to take decades.
Even if he were to join a sect, he wouldn’t be able to co in contact with their most talented individuals right away.
He had experienced it himself when he was in the Duality Sect as well as the Sword Sect. Most of the sect mbers that he t were just ordinary sect mbers. The most talented ones were either away for training or in seclusion. It was these ordinary disciples who took care of their daily needs.
Right now, he was a wanted man, and he was sure that once the words of what he did with those won got out, the pride of those talented individuals wouldn’t allow them to just sit and watch.
There would definitely be the personal disciples of Elders and Grand Elders taking actions.
In that case, all he needs to do is just sit and wait for them to co and look for him.
It was much better than him roaming around aimlessly. He also didn’t need to carefully craft any plans on how to get in touch with the talented individuals of the sects.
"What are you even thinking about?" Lin ilin, whose elbow was still resting upon Yang Ze’s head, couldn’t help but ask in confusion. She thought that after going through so much and being lectured by her over and over again, the boy beside her might actually kill his enemies, but to her disappointnt, it didn’t seem to be the case. He seed to have his own train of thought, as for what that was... she was looking forward to it.
"You know what..." Lin ilin suddenly thought about sothing as she clapped her hands. "I know where to take you next."
From what she had seen till now, the boy in front of her was still hesitant about killing others. She didn’t know how anyone could be this naive in the world of cultivation. On one hand, she was annoyed by this trait of his, while on the other hand, she liked the fact that he had a shred of humanity in it.
But just because she admired this trait of his didn’t an she wanted him to be like this forever. She knew better than anyone else what having such naive thoughts in this world ant. She knew the repercussions and the calamity that one might bring upon themselves with such thinking.
After all, the boy himself was a product of this. He might not have realised it by now, but he will in the future.
But since she chose to be his master... she was more than willing to change his mindset. And she knew just the perfect place for it.
With a slight smile on her lips, she waved her hand, and with that, the figure of both Yang Ze and Lin ilin disappeared from there.
—--------------------------
"Where are we?" Almost three hours later, when both Yang Ze and Lin ilin landed on the ground, Yang Ze couldn’t help but ask with a frown.
In front of him was a land that was pitch black in colour. As far as his eyes could see, the entire place seed to be devoid of any life.
Looking around, he found himself standing at the very centre. Behind him was a lush green forest with the sound of birds and insects all around him, and in front of him was a place that was deathly silent.
Even the dense number of trees in front of him looked like dead ones without a single leaf upon them, and if that wasn’t enough, their shapes were twisted, deford beyond recognition.
"This..." Looking at the scene in front of him that looked like it was straight out of a horror movie, Yang Ze couldn’t help but swallow a mouthful of saliva. He couldn’t help but wonder if these trees were suddenly going to co alive and would have those giant mouths and eyes.
"Well, after seeing how you handled the mbers of the Sword Sect, I realised that you need a different type of training. And hence I brought you here."
Without waiting for him to speak, Lin ilin continued.
"This is the palace of your training."
"All you have to do is go inside and find out everything about this place. You don’t even have to take part in anything. Just go in, gather intelligence and co out, and the mission will be over."
"It’s as simple as that."
Watching the hesitant expression on Yang Ze’s face, Lin ilin spoke with a smile. "Of course, once this is over, I will give you the Nectar of Life."
Yang Ze’s body trembled at the re ntion of the Nectar of Life as he gritted his teeth before exhaling a mouthful of air. He then simply nodded in response before taking a step forward, directly stepping into the Black land, and the mont he did, he felt a shiver run down his spine as an intense feeling of fear and panic crept in. He wanted to simply turn back and run away, but in the end, he managed to hold back. Although he didn’t know why Lin ilin brought him here, he was willing to go in for the sake of the Nectar of Life. Besides, he was sure that Lin ilin wanted to teach him a lesson in sothing, as for what it was, he was going to find out soon.
"The ti limit is one month." Lin ilin’s gentle laugh echoed in his ears.
"I will et you here in one month. If you can make it, then good and if not, then well, let’s save it for then."
"You aren’t coming in?" Yang Ze suddenly had a bad feeling in his heart as he imdiately turned his head to ask this question.
Lin ilin didn’t give an imdiate reply but kept on smiling at Yang Ze before opening her cheery lips and speaking in an enchanting voice.
"NOPE."
"....." Yang Ze’s eyes widened in response. Till now, he had been thinking that Lin ilin was going to teach him step by step and guide him personally every day. But now... it seed like he was thinking too much.
"Oh, don’t worry about your safety." Looking at his face, which was drained of blood, she rely smiled in response.
"I have made proper arrangents for that."
"What arrangents?" Yang Ze couldn’t help but ask with so doubts.
"....." Lin ilin tilted her head, wondering if he was truly asking this question, but in the end decided to answer him.
"My gift will keep you safe."
"Gift... What gift?" Yang Ze couldn’t help but take a look at his body, wondering if she left so kind of mark that would trigger when he is in danger or sothing that would instantly teleport him away.
"..."
"..."
"Sigh... forget it." Lin ilin, who was trying to keep it a mystery, couldn’t help but let out a wry smile. She didn’t know how this brat’s mind worked. Can’t he be simply in awe of her and trust her completely? Why does he need to know everything? Can’t he just stay silent and look forward to it? Wouldn’t it be fun to discover it by himself?
Even though Lin ilin’s head was filled with these thoughts, she still gave him an answer.
"The gift I gave you in the Tianxu Trading Zone." By now, she had shed all pretences. With him by her side and the fact that she was his master, she no longer needed to pretend that she wasn’t the young woman whom Yang Ze t on his way to the Tianxu Trading Zone.
Both of them had known about the fact that Yang Ze was aware of Lin ilin’s identity for quite a while, but neither of them pointed it out.
And now that they were in a master-disciple relationship, Lin ilin couldn’t care less about it.
Yang Ze, on the other hand, wasn’t taken aback by her sudden revelation but rely frowned in response.
"The gift you gave in the Tianxu Trading Zone?" He tried his best to rember, but couldn’t quite recall it. At that ti, there were so many things that he needed to take care of. There was the matter of his Spiritwing that needed to be evolved. Then he needed to head back in ti for his marriage...
Thinking about it, Yang Ze couldn’t help but let out a bitter smile.
Both the things that he was busy with were now no longer with him.
The spiritwing seed to have disappeared after he entered the Heavenly Sword Sect, and he didn’t even get to marry Cang Yue.
"...."
It wasn’t until a few monts passed and he looked at Lin ilin’s eyes that he ca back to his senses before trying his best to rember the so-called gift.
It took him a while to rember, and sure enough, he was able to recall it.
"You an that tal bead that you gave ?"
This was the only thing he could rember that Lin ilin had given him.
He tried his best to recall everything about it when he finally rembered what it was.
[Item: Essence of Primodial Earth Sovereign]
[Description: An extrely rare and precious resource that cos from a sovereign. Can be used to create a treasure or can be used to comprehend an innate talent of the Sovereign.]
"That’s right... How can I forget about it?" Yang Ze wanted to slap himself for forgetting about sothing so important. At that ti, he was so excited due to the evolution of his butterfly as well as the newly gained skills and his marriage, that he didn’t even have ti to think about it.
"You do have that right?" Looking at Yang Ze’s flustered expression, Lin ilin asked while raising a brow.
"Of course." How could Yang Ze not keep such an important item with him? He hurriedly reached inside his robe, hoping to bring it out, but the mont his hand reached there, his body stiffened.
*Gulp
Swallowing a mouthful of saliva, Yang Ze then hurriedly moved his hand to the other side of the robe, but even after fiddling for a while, he couldn’t find anything.
"I... I didn’t leave it in the room, right?" After using the third grade of the Black Tiger Technique, he transford into a giant black tiger and in doing so, his clothes shattered completely.
He couldn’t help but think whether the tal ball fell out of his pocket at that ti.
"YOU DO HAVE IT ON YOU, RIGHT?" The smile on Lin ilin’s face only grew wider, but Yang Ze felt a bone-chilling coldness from it.
Swallowing another mouthful of saliva, his body trembled in response as he let out a smile that was uglier than crying.
"Good... good... good." Lin ilin said ’good’ three tis in a row before taking a step forward and disappearing from her place, leaving behind a single sentence reverberating throughout the air.
"ONE MONTH."
—------------------------
While Yang Ze was going through his second lesson, far away from him, inside one of the major sects... Heavenly Sword Sect, the figure of Xiao Ruaolan was quietly lying on the bed inside Yang Ze’s previous room.
Sotis she would roll around, sotis she would take deep breaths while burying her head in the pillow and quilt, and sotis her body would slither around like a snake.
After a while, she finally cald down before lying still with her head facing the roof.
"I wonder what is going to happen now." Muttering to herself, she waved her hand as a small sphere of tal appeared in her palms.
Were Yang Ze here, he would have definitely shouted and rushed to grab it. It was the very sa tal sphere that Lin iling gifted him in the Tianxu Trading Zone and the one that he thought he lost in Yuyang City.
After looking at the tal sphere for a while, Lin ilin simply snapped her finger, and with that, the air in front of her twisted as a space opened up.
The space was roughly a hundred ters in size, with nurous things piled up everywhere.
If anyone were to see this scene, they would have fainted from fright. After all, the ability of opening a personal space was sothing that even a Heaven Step powerhouse couldn’t accomplish. And yet, Xiao Ruolan not only had a personal space, but it was filled to the brim with innurable things.
Xiao Ruolan didn’t even take a glance. She rely flicked her fingers, throwing the tal ball inside.
*Clang... clang... clang...
After hitting the ground a few tis, the tal ball finally stopped, landing right in the middle of a pile.
A large pile that was made out of countless tal balls like it...
