This sudden statent of a random person caught both Xiao Ruolan and Yang Ze by surprise.
In that instant, Yang Ze ca back to his senses before noticing the flushed face of Xiao Ruolan, who hurriedly took a step back in panic before glaring angrily at the person who had interrupted them.
"It’s you." With a cold snort, Xiao Ruolan just averted her gaze, but from her flushed expression, one could clearly see her panic.
Yang Ze, on the other hand, stood rooted in his position. It took him a mont to realise what had just happened as his heart almost leapt out of his chest.
’I...’ Yang Ze wanted to speak out, but no words ca. He could feel his ragged breathing, his hastened heartbeat and the excitent in his bones. He couldn’t believe that the two of them had almost kissed.
If not for the intervention by the newcor, he might have kissed Xiao Ruolan.

After that, she just glanced at her with disgust before turning around, grabbing Yang Ze by his wrist and walking away from there.

Xiao Ruolan’s footsteps paused as she glanced at him before nodding with a grave expression.

"I see." Yang Ze didn’t say anything else, but from the smile on his face, one could feel his happiness. It was the first ti in god knows how long that he was truly happy. He didn’t say it out loud, but having soone to care for you was a wonderful feeling. Sothing that he had almost forgotten about.
The two of them didn’t speak a word after that. As they slowly made their way towards their residence, their hands would occasionally brush past each other.

He could still feel the soft touch of her hand and the faint fragrance of flowers from her body.
He just stood there with an embarrassed smile on his face.
Who would have thought that a single dog like him would get to experience love one day, too? He had been with Lin Wan before, but never ever had this feeling with her. It was as if there were butterflies in his stomach, and for a mont, he even wanted to raise his hand and fly in the air.

"So what if I am?" Yang Ze wasn’t going to let her insult Xiao Ruolan. He had had enough of this woman.
"What did she promise you?" Ignoring his snarky remark, Lin Yue imdiately asked with a frown.
"What does that have to do with you?" Yang Ze was taken aback with surprise when he heard her. How could she know that Xiao Ruolan had promised him protection? She couldn’t have been eavesdropping on them, could she?
The more he thought about it, the more it seed to be the case; for a mont, his eyes towards her once again turned unfriendly.
"Just answer the question." Lin Yue asked again, but this ti her voice was filled with irritation. What is with this guy and his sudden change in personality? Earlier, he was all smiles and ek, and now... now he was acting like an arrogant prick.
"Fine." Yang Ze just let out a cold snort before speaking in a flat tone.
"She promised protection from YOU."
"....." His words silenced Yun Lin, who was still sitting there with a shocked face.
Ti seed to have lost its aning as the two of them stared at each other in silence for a while.
"Ha..." Lin Yue suddenly broke the uncomfortable silence.
"Haha..."
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHA"
The sound of her laughter filled the house as she clutched her stomach while tears rolled from the corner of her eyes due to laughing too much.
Yang Ze just stood there in silence, unable to understand why she was acting this way.
Was the shock of this news too much for her? Did she go crazy after realising that the second person whom she considered her sister is now with him too?
Yang Ze just stood there in silence, looking at Lin Yue, whose laughter didn’t stop.
And just when he was getting irritated and was about to head to his room, leaving behind this crazy woman, the laughter stopped as Lin Yue wiped the corner of her eye before the smile on her face disappeared.
She looked at Yang Ze with a gaze filled with pity before shaking her head.
"Forget it." Taking a deep breath, she continued speaking. "Consider yourself lucky. If not for the fact that you were Lin Wan’s lover and I needed you to practise Mystic Nether Art, I wouldn’t have bothered to talk to you."
Speaking till here, her voice turned grave as she spoke the next sentence.
"I will give you the token to get out of this sect."
"Take it and run..."
"Run as far away as possible and don’t turn back."
"Run and hide."
"Hide and pray that Xiao Ruolan won’t ever find you."
"Otherwise..."
