[HP] - Adventure Book [Xover] Chapter 19 19: Chap.19 - Gibbs

The Interceptor docked in Tortuga during the night.

Jack and Will disembarked with Rigel. the trio, though strange, didn't attract much attention here.

Since docking, Rigel has heard gunshots at least three tis.

As they walked down the street, Rigel saw one man get shot, another be thrown from the second floor, and another put his head in a rum barrel and drink all he could before collapsing and snoring to the ground.

All to the sound of happy shouts and music.

Rigel's lips trembled, and Will looked around as if he had entered a different world. only Jack smiled happily, like a child who had returned ho.

He took a deep breath, the air slling of alcohol, gunpowder, cheap perfu, and feces as if it were the best sll in the world. "Ah... I love Tortuga."

"I believe so." Rigel shrugged.

Before they could pass, a woman approached Jack, her face completely unhappy. Rigel took a step to the side, moving away from the man.

"Scarlet!" Jack shouted invitingly, a smile on his face, but a slap was all he received before the woman marched away, furious.

"I don't know if I deserved this." he said, frowning, but before he could recover, another woman approached.

Jack repeated the act. "Giselle!"

But 'Giselle' didn't seem happy at all. "Who was she?" She asked, annoyed.

"What?" Jack asked, wanting to deny everything, but before he could say anything else, he received another slap.

Jack paused for a mont, thinking, and then spoke. "Yeah, maybe I deserved it."

Will stared blankly at him, and Rigel just chuckled slightly. "So, shall we go after your loyal first mate?"

Jack raised an eyebrow, curious. "Excuse , who?"

Rigel ignored him and followed the sll of the pigsty, walking ahead. The pair behind him exchanged glances and quickly followed.

In the pigsty, as he had expected, a man was sleeping leaning against the pigs.

"A terrible place to sleep." Rigel must say. "pigs are famous for eating anything, humans included."

Jack's lips twitched in obvious disgust. "Well, it seems this sailor really needs a bath."

He imdiately turned to Rigel, his eyes gleaming, practically begging Rigel to give Gibbs a dose of what he had received earlier.

Rigel didn't want to waste his ti, pointing his wand at Gibbs, he said. "Aguanti."

A jet of water shot out of his wand, hitting Gibbs directly, who jumped in fright, trying to protect himself from the water.

"Damn it, stop this damn water!" Gibbs yelled, trying to get up but falling because of the mud and shit at his feet.

Rigel stopped the spell, just enough for Gibbs to finally understand what was happening, looking at Jack. "Jack! Don't you know that waking a sleeping man brings bad luck?!"

"My dear friend, I wasn't the one who woke you, but in any case, it doesn't matter, luckily I know how to fix this. The man who woke you invites the sleeping man for a drink." He pointed to Rigel, who rely rolled his eyes. "The sleeping man drinks while listening to a proposal from the man who woke him."

Gibbs seed more confused than anything else for a mont, but soon a smile spread across his face, probably reasoning that he would receive a drink.

"Yes! That solves it!" He agreed, as Jack offered him his hand to help him up.

He started walking away, but Rigel stopped him. "And who is this anyway? Your son?"

Rigel rolled his eyes as Jack took a step to the side. Rigel pointed his wand at Gibbs, who still had confused eyes. Jack seed very excited, expecting a good show, but the next mont he was shocked.

"Scourgify." The dirt on Gibbs seed to peel off his body and clothes, even the water was washed away. the man looked as if he had just taken a shower.

This made Gibbs' eyes widen as much as they could. "By heavens! A witch!"

"You insist on calling a witch, but I prefer Wizard." Rigel shrugged.

"Jack, don't you know it's bad luck to sail with witches?!" Gibbs said to Jack, startled.

But Jack ignored Gibbs' words, instead looking Gibbs up and down and then turning to Rigel, his lips trembling. "Couldn't you have just wiped off with a flick of your stick?"

Rigel simply shrugged, put away his wand, and turned to leave.

Will stifled a laugh and quickly followed Rigel. Gibbs looked at Jack, still scared and confused, but Jack, on the other hand, had his lips trembling fiercely. He turned to Gibbs and said with every ounce of conviction he possessed. "I really, really hate witches."
