Now reading: Chapter 289: 289 from HP: The Boy who Mastered Lightning, a Action novel by Daydreamer7.

"After graduation, a wizard's physique and magic will gradually increase with age, though the rate won't be as high. I estimate that the annual increase will decline as one ages, and if one rarely uses magic or suffers from malnutrition, the magic value might even shrink."

"These things are simple to state, but they actually have a lot to do with each wizard's individual physique, so the differences between two people can sotis be worlds apart." Alan silently turned the roasting at, imparting this knowledge to everyone.

"Then, does a wizard with a higher magic value have greater strength?" Although Tonks's gaze was drawn away by the sizzling, oily roasted pork chops, she still asked about the thing she was most curious about.

"That's not necessarily true; whether one is powerful or not cannot be completely equated with the amount of magic value. In fact, whether one's magic value is high or low, it is generally enough for the average person to use for a lifeti."

"So wizards are born with strong physiques. Although their starting point and growth rate for magic are high, if they neglect their studies, have a weak spirit, and are not skilled at using spells, it is still useless."

"And so wizards, despite having low magic values, are diligent in practicing spells and possess a firm will, so their strength is still not to be underestimated. Just like Professor Flitwick from Charms; due to his race, his magic value is certainly not particularly high among adult wizards, yet he still beca a dueling champion relying on his superb strength."

Subsequently, Alan focused his gaze on Charlie. "Charlie, your physique and talent are both very good. I think this stems from your mother's careful care, but if you beco complacent because of this and neglect your practice, you might end up achieving nothing in the future, understand?"

"I understand, Brother Alan." Upon being pointed out by Alan, Charlie imdiately sat up straight and nodded in agreent.

Seeing Alan speaking with such logic and that everyone around respected him so much, Tonks understood in her heart that she had previously wronged him. However, she still looked at Alan with curiosity. "You said before that you needed to draw blood because you wanted to study my abilities. Does my talent have anything to do with magic?"

"This can only be known after testing, because if this talent is a certain ability you awakened, then this ability also needs to be driven by magic."

"And frequently using magic will exercise your own magic activity. Your magic value will slowly increase with frequent use in your early years. Perhaps the increase is not as large as it is during school, but over the years, your magic value should be different from ordinary people." Alan looked at her and smiled.

"You even know this?" To even understand the trend of magic increase before enrollnt—is this what a genius is? In Tonks's eyes, Alan had a sowhat unfathomable quality.

*Because I am like that,* Alan thought to himself. When his magic erupted in his youth, he began to practice deliberately, which resulted in his magic value actually far exceeding his peers.

However, Alan did not intend to explain this to Tonks, only continuing, "If your magic value is not much different from an ordinary wizard, then it ans your talent is actually an instinct, or so kind of mutation."

"Just like so people are born with white hair, or a Cerberus is born with three heads, it ans that this ability is unique to you and cannot be replicated, and it is also very difficult for you to obtain improvent through external forces."

"So there is such a difference? Then if my ability really does increase my magic, does it an that there is still room for improvent in this talent?" Thinking of this, Tonks said with so excitent.

"Specifics still need to be tested, but theoretically, it is like that. Besides being able to change hair color, does your talent have any other abilities? For example, hair length, changes in appearance, and so on." Alan asked while looking at her bright yellow hair.

"Well, besides hair color, I can now change the shape of my nose and mouth, but I cannot change hair length." As she spoke, Tonks demonstrated to everyone. They saw her nose and mouth slowly changing; the nose becoming high or flat, the lips thick or thin.

"It seems your talent still has potential for growth. In the future, you might be able to change more and more parts." Alan nodded. "By the way, you often change your appearance; won't you forget your original face because of this?"

If one keeps changing and forgets what one looked like in the beginning, that would be embarrassing. Even if it were just a tiny bit different, it would make it so that familiar people wouldn't recognize you.

"No." Tonks shook her head. "How to describe it? For , the transformation is like having a switch. As long as I turn it off, I will imdiately return to my original state. Only the hair color takes so ti, just like fading takes ti."

"Hmm." Alan's eyes lit up when he heard Tonks's description. "Hearing you describe it like this, it sounds very much like an ability that needs to be driven by magic. Perhaps the switch you ntioned is the key; it could be a unique transformation magic rune, or so kind of mutated bloodline magic."

"Is that true? I've always used it according to my mood and have never noticed." Tonks suddenly beca interested in the transformation ability on her own body. "Then test too."

Alan nodded and then signaled Bill to use the magic asuring instrunt to test Tonks. After a short ti, everyone saw Tonks's current magic value, which was as high as 124 units, about double that of a normal first-year wizard.

"Good heavens, it's almost catching up to my second-year magic value." Bill was startled when he saw this number.

"This proves my conjecture. Your talent should be a kind of awakened natural magic; it's just that you have always relied on instinct to drive it." Alan nodded when he saw the number; it was about what he had expected.

"Then how should I train this ability? Is it enough to just transform frequently?" Tonks discovered that her magic was actually so high, and she felt a little happy, asking Alan with a smile.

"Using it frequently will certainly increase proficiency, but this is not efficient, and you cannot be changing your face all the ti." Alan shook his head. "The next step is to find the source, to see if this special magic has ford a magic rune inside your body. If there is a magic rune, as long as you master it, you can improve rapidly."

"Then how should I find the source?" Tonks asked hurriedly when she heard there was a way.

"The simplest thod is for you to perceive it yourself. You know your own body best, but since you are a young wizard right now, your magic sensitivity is too low. It is very difficult to perceive magic outside your body, let alone inside it." Alan shook his head.
