Now they had a chance to keep struggling against their opponent.
"..."
Without any communication, after Kyotani got the ball up, Wakatoshi Ushijima began to take a slight step back. Imdiately after, he made a rapid approach, jumped, and spiked another ball. The mont that spike was launched, Kindaichi collapsed to the floor.
His mouth and nose were bleeding, but the ball's landing point happened to be near the middle of the net. Although the angle was not especially good, for Oikawa, it was still barely possible to set it.
"Don't get cocky, you damn brat!"
Toru Oikawa gritted his teeth as he glanced over the ball's landing point. Then he sprinted toward the right side of the net. Just as the ball was about to fall below the net, Oikawa dropped to his knees and slid out across the floor, finally forcing the ball up toward the back.
And behind him, of course, was where Hank was waiting.
"A perfect angle. You don't see a ball like this very often, Hank-chan. Don't let down."
Oikawa endured the stabbing pain coming from his knees and slowly stood back up. Aoba Johsai had already reached its limit. They could not afford to withstand another spike from Wakatoshi Ushijima. If Hank could not score with this ball, then the situation from here on would beco extrely difficult.
It was even very possible that they would directly lose this set because of it.
"Boom!"
Hank, who had already finished preparing, sprinted into his approach from where he stood, jumped, and then drove the ball straight into Shiratorizawa's court. Hearing the sound of the ball slamming into the floor beside his ear, Hank knew that the spike he had just hit had scored.
Although it had been incredibly difficult, this was also the result of every mber of Aoba Johsai's efforts. Without their help, he never would have been able to score that point by himself.
"All right!"
Oikawa and all of Aoba Johsai's mbers, seeing that their hard work had finally paid off, began shouting from the bottom of their hearts. They had already co to see Hank as the leader of the team. As long as he was still standing on the court, they firmly believed that they could create a miracle.
Although that way of thinking was sowhat opportunistic, all of them firmly believed that, in the near future, Hank would stand above everyone else.
He would beco a world-class powerhouse.
"They actually let him score... Now the score is back to 23–24, but the advantage is still on our side. As long as they let us take one more point, or they make one mistake themselves, that'll be enough."
Satori Tendō also felt from the bottom of his heart that Hank was extrely troubleso. Not only had he stayed on the court from the first set until now, he could still complete movents of such high intensity. He was simply like a man of steel.
Compared to any athlete Tendō had ever seen, Hank was far more resilient.
It seed that if Shiratorizawa wanted to ultimately take down Aoba Johsai in this match, they would still need quite a bit of ti. Hank alone was already enough to give them a headache.
"Serve a good one, Hank-chan!"
After the referee finished awarding the point, the right to serve moved from Shiratorizawa to Hank. He looked at the volleyball in his hands and fell into thought.
From here on, as long as he could score two points in a row, this match would be over.
But if Shiratorizawa scored even one more point, then it would beco extrely difficult for them to catch back up.
So now, he only had one chance left.
If he failed to seize it, everything would end right here.
