[Start of the chapter]

Ti passed quickly, and before long, another month had gone by. Although there was still so ti left before the upcoming Spring High qualifiers, preparations already had to be taken seriously.

During that period, Hank trained in the club continuously for four straight weeks. Every week, he also found ti to spend a few hours training with Karasuno. Basically, other than studying, he threw himself into practice like a man possessed, leaving himself no ti at all for fun.

That made his already monstrous physical talent beco even more outrageous. Hank even started to feel that his body had broken through so sort of limit and reached a level that the other local players in the prefecture simply could not hope to touch.

With that thought, Hank silently opened his personal status panel to check his current four main attributes and see exactly how much he had improved over the past several days.

...

Looking at the data panel in front of him, Hank imdiately felt a deep sense of satisfaction. Sure enough, all the effort he had put in these past days had not been wasted. Compared to when he had first awakened the system, the numbers on his panel had gone up by a full 80 points.

His spiking, passing, ball control, and physical condition had all improved dramatically.

His physical condition had even reached Youth National Team level by now, and a score of 60 would count as outstanding even within that level. Naturally, Hank was very satisfied with that.

His daily hard training had not been for nothing. Every single day, he had pushed himself relentlessly, and every week he played a practice match with Karasuno. By now, he could truly be considered capable of standing on his own.

And none of this was purely a gift from the system. More of it ca from his own effort. Only by continuing to beco stronger did Hank feel fulfilled.

"There are less than ten days left before the Spring High qualifiers. I still can't afford to relax during these ten days, but it can't just be training alone. Volleyball is a team sport, so we need team matches too."

"We can use this chance to arrange a practice match with Nekoma High, the team Karasuno had contacted before."

After thinking it over briefly, Hank suddenly rembered that, with the Spring High qualifiers approaching, Karasuno also seed to be having practice matches with Nekoma in the original storyline. As one of Tokyo's traditional powerhouses, and like Karasuno a team known as a "fallen powerhouse," Nekoma's entire lineup excelled at receiving.

That made them the perfect opponent to help sharpen his team's overall coordination.

For Aoba Johsai, this was definitely a good thing.

"I can ssage Karasuno's coach now and see whether he can arrange a practice match for us."

"That way, there won't be much left to regret."

Hank had already made up his mind. He would face Tokyo's Nekoma High together with his team. Having this match before the Spring High qualifiers was a very good chance to warm the team up properly.

Thinking that, Hank imdiately took out his phone and sent a ssage to Karasuno High about wanting to arrange a practice match against Nekoma High.

The result was very smooth. As Karasuno's acting coach, Keishin Ukai replied to Hank very quickly. After the two of them exchanged information about their respective teams, they soon confird the upcoming practice match.

In the end, the date of the match was set for the very next day.

"Nekoma High... If we can beat a team like that before the tournant, it'll definitely be good preparation for the Spring High qualifiers."

Hank suddenly felt excitent welling up inside him. The strength he had gained recently really needed more opportunities to be polished, and Nekoma High would make for an excellent whetstone.

....

Early the next morning, Hank changed into Aoba Johsai's uniform and headed with Oikawa and the others straight to the venue they had arranged with the Nekoma team. Since the two schools belonged to different regional brackets, Aoba Johsai was taking this very seriously.

In fact, almost as soon as Hank had made the arrangent on Aoba Johsai's side, Coach Irihata had already inford the players in advance and had them gather here to prepare for the practice match between the two teams.

"Long ti no see."

After Hank and the others entered the building, Kiyoko, dressed in a black compression top, walked over to Hank and spoke.

And the mont Kiyoko appeared, angry muttering imdiately ca from the Nekoma High side, who had already arrived earlier.
