When Lukas heard that, he looked at the man with an amused stare. "Is that so... well, thanks for the information. Now lead the way."
The man frowned slightly but nodded before going towards the entrance. His frown deepened when he saw both Catherine and Lillian move towards the building.
According to the new group of people this beautiful woman was an evolver but her daughter was not one, so why was she coming with them.
He decided not to interfere. His job was to tell them the rules, not enforce them. There were people inside who could handle it.
The rules inside this shelter were strict since the main leadership was in the hands of military veterans. So if this new guy thought that having the status of evolver would be enough to act as he wanted then he was in for a rude awakening.
In the end there were 18 evolvers here. He was not soone special.
The man shook his head and knocked on the entrance.
KNOCK!
A few seconds later, it was opened by a woman who looked at them with raised eyebrows. She was a little surprised seeing new faces but spoke to the man calmly. "What happened? You know that an important eting is going on inside."
The man nodded. "I know but we got new people in the camp today and two of them are evolvers.."
The woman was surprised and imdiately opened the door completely while Lukas was amused hearing the fact that there were only two evolvers.
"Please co inside.." The woman bowed slightly towards Lukas and the others.
Lukas stepped inside and Catherine followed with Lillian. The woman frowned too but the man gestured her not to intervene.
When they ca inside, the first thing they saw was a spacious reception.
The woman gestured towards the hallway leading to the deeper area. "Please co with .."
They walked for a while and ca to another pair of closed doors. The woman knocked on it before proceeding to open it herself. "Please wait here."
Lukas sighed inwardly, These people had really created a systematic command or sothing.
After a few seconds the woman ca back and nodded, gesturing them in. "Please.."
Lukas entered and finally he saw a group of people sitting on a big round table. There were a total of 15.
He also noticed the French woman whose na was Leah as per the guards and her team.
"I had a feeling it was you guys, heheheh...," Leah smiled and then spoke with an amused tone. "You ca and broke one rule already.."
Lukas looked at everyone with a glance. There were ten n and five won in this group of council made of evolvers.
The stark difference he could find was that most of the people were young, probably in their twenties and early thirties, with only two n who seed to be in their forties and fifties.
Everyone was wearing military outfits, so it was hard to tell who were the ones really military veterans who took over this base first. But if he had to guess then those two older n were definitely one of them.
After seeing through everyone — in which a few people looked calm, a few were amused, one was clearly angry and a few were frowning — he finally responded to Leah’s words of breaking the rule. "What do you an by breaking the rule?"
Leah raised her eyebrows at him before looking at Lillian as if telling him what she ant.
Nonetheless one of the old n spoke. He was the one with the calm expression from the start.
"There is a rule that only evolvers can enter this building.. oh well, it is your first ti so just rember it in the future.."
He did not sound angry or annoyed. It was just that to a military veteran like him, rules and orders were everything. They were taught to follow them from the start of their service.
There was a good reason for it as not following orders could create mistakes which could get you and your companions killed in the battlefield.
Lukas liked his tone and since he had respect for military veterans of his country who protected them from threats, he nodded respectfully. "I did hear of that but why do you think that we broke the rule? I an we three are evolvers so I do not understand what you all are trying to imply.."
The old man got surprised before looking at Leah and then a man who was filled with anger. This man was none other than Adrian whom Lukas had taught a lesson in the previous camp.
Adrian imdiately spoke. "He is fucking lying. Everyone in our previous camp knows that Lillian is not an evolver.."
The old man frowned. "Mind your words in the council from next ti.."
Adrian flinched but still looked at Lukas with a hateful expression.
Lukas smirked and shrugged his shoulders. "Oh well, if you have sothing which can check if she is an evolver or not then go ahead and check. It is not like I gain anything from lying and making her co here... geez, not to ntion sooner or later it will beco obvious if she is an evolver or not.
Anyway, I do not have ti to waste here. I just ca here to understand so other important matters of this shelter and see who is strongest here.. other than that I am not interested in your council in which even kids are allowed.."
Lukas said the last words while being very obvious about who was the kid he was ntioning by glaring at Adrian.
It was true. Lillian being evolved or not did not matter. It was not like he was trying to win so war with numbers or anything.
Adrian trembled imdiately by rembering what had happened last ti as he saw Lukas’s eyes.
When the others heard that, they were stunned slightly. Lukas’s words felt quite logical but also a little haughty.
No doubt all of them had fought each other to see the strongest. It was ant to give the power of voting in the council.
The strongest among them was none other than the two most elderly n, in which one was the real general of this camp.
