Chapter 383 – Massage, Soap, Rinse

Naomi scread, her voice echoing through the soundproof room. Her body spasd, clinging to him, milking him, begging without words.

He kissed her again, swallowing her cries, his own groan vibrating through her chest.

"You can’t stop loving , can you?" he whispered against her mouth, still moving inside her. "No matter how much I ruin you."

She shook her head weakly, eyes squeezing shut.

"Eyes open," he ordered gently, pressing her chin toward the mirror again. "Look. Look at how beautiful you are when you’re mine."

She forced her eyes open, tears slipping down her cheeks, watching herself fall apart again.

And it was true.

She couldn’t stop. She didn’t want to stop.

Her voice broke as she cried out, "I love you, Lux!"

He smirked, thrusting deeper, his cock pulsing inside her, another wave of his seed spilling into her. The warmth flooded her, mixing with everything already inside, dripping, obscene.

Naomi sobbed, her body convulsing again, orgasm tearing through her so hard she thought she might black out.

And Lux?

He kissed her tears, still fucking her gently through the aftershocks, smiling like an innocent boy even as his eyes glowed with greedy victory.

"Good girl," he murmured, his lips brushing hers. "Say it again."

Her heart clenched. Her body obeyed.

"I love you, Lux..."

And in the mirror, she saw it—his satisfied smirk, his eyes alight with triumph.

And hers—broken, flushed, desperate.

But happy.

Because even ruined, even wrecked, even milked through round after round—she didn’t want to belong to anyone else.

Lux Vaelthorn had her. Completely.

Naomi felt the weight of it as she slumped against him, her legs jelly, her lungs still struggling to find rhythm after what felt like hours of being wrung dry. The bathwater that once slled like lavender and luxury now clung to her skin, heavy with sweat, sex, and soap bubbles broken into froth. She barely registered when Lux lifted her again, cradling her like she weighed nothing, his body still impossibly steady.

She groaned, hiding her face against his shoulder. "If this is round six, I’m filing a complaint."

Lux chuckled, the sound warm in her ear. "Relax, sweetheart. I’m actually going to bathe you this ti."

Her head tilted just enough to glare at him. "Actually bathe ?"

"Mmhm." He lowered her gently back into the water, like he hadn’t just ruined her body into submission. His hand trailed down her thigh, not in lust this ti, but in sothing almost reverent. "Massage, soap, rinse. I’ll even wash your hair if you’re good."

Naomi squinted, too tired to hide her suspicion. "You don’t do ’innocent.’ What’s the catch?"

Lux dipped a sponge in the warm water and began lathering it with fragrant soap. He smirked, but his voice dropped softer. "No catch." He pressed the sponge to her shoulder, rubbing slow circles. "Thank you."

She blinked at him.

Her. Naomi Delacour. Speechless.

"...Thank you?" she repeated, brow furrowing.

He nodded, lips tugging upward faintly. "Yeah."

Naomi sat up a little straighter, the water sliding off her chest. "You can’t just say that like it’s normal. You—you don’t say ’thank you,’ Lux. You say things like ’your return on investnt has satisfied .’ Or ’excellent performance trics.’ Not—" She huffed. "Not thank you."

He chuckled again, dragging the sponge lower, across the slope of her collarbone. "Stop acting innocent," she muttered, cheeks heating. "I know you’re not."

His eyes flicked up, mischievous but softer than usual. "Maybe not. But I’m serious."

She turned her face away, trying to hide the blush crawling down her neck. "Don’t... don’t play with like that."

"I’m not playing," he said simply, dipping the sponge again, squeezing suds down her back. His hand followed, fingers massaging the knots in her shoulders. "Well..." He sighed. "A part of it is an act. You know ."

"Obviously."

"But," he continued, his voice dropping, his thumb dragging slow lines down her spine, "my heart... yeah. It hurts."

The words froze her more than the cool rush of water down her skin. Naomi turned, really turned, to look at him. His face, half-lit by the warm glow of rune-lamps, wasn’t smirking. Wasn’t masking. Just... raw.

"Lux..." she whispered.

"I still harbor that bitterness," he admitted. "And I’m self-aware. Too self-aware, maybe. Sotis, I see myself—my past—in other people. Can’t help it." His hand lingered on her back, pressing steady, as though grounding himself. "Ariel’s the most recent one."

Naomi stayed silent, the na striking her. The girl. The rmaid. The cash cow, thrown away.

Lux rinsed the sponge, his movents precise, buying ti as if the rhythm would steady his thoughts. "So when I said earlier... about how much it hurt , knowing they considered her nothing but a resource..." He exhaled, lips twitching in sothing that wasn’t a smile. "That wasn’t just for her. It was a real thing. A reminder."

Naomi bit her lip. "Because you felt the sa?"

His gaze flickered to hers, then down. He nodded. "Yes. Because I was the sa."

Her throat tightened. "Lux..."

"Not anymore," he added quickly, forcing a curve of his mouth. "But it scarred ."

The sponge trailed down her arm, gentle, almost absentminded. He wasn’t seducing her now. He wasn’t teasing. He was just Lux. And Naomi realized she wasn’t used to that.

He huffed softly. "There’s a lot that scarred , Naomi. More than I admit. And though I tried to erase it, I couldn’t. I’m too afraid to let go. Afraid that if I do, soone will find a way to use again. Treat like a calculator in a suit. A vault with legs."

His voice cracked, just faintly. Enough for her to hear it.

Naomi’s chest clenched. She reached out, cupping his cheek with wet fingers, forcing him to et her eyes. "Lux. Look at ."

He did. And she wished he hadn’t. That glint—sharp, vulnerable and greedy all at once—stripped her bare in return.

"You’re not that anymore," she said, firr than she felt. "You’re not just numbers. Or a vault. Or their tool. You’re more than that."
